Sunset Foods

I discovered Sunset when I moved nearby. It wasn't too large of a store, or too small....it was just right for everyday shopping and liquor.
Staff is helpful and friendly. Nice selection of options. The new floral department is small, but nice. They carry Papyrus cards, a favorite of mine. I love that they have small gift items and cards.
They pack a lot of quality selections in a small footprint, in an organized way, which makes shopping enjoyable and easy. Can't say enough about this place.

What standing out at this store is very organized and super clean environment and don't have any unpleasant smell that's mean meat and produce are fresh, however, be prepared to pay little bit more than other competitors, in addition very friendly people working here willing to help. No waiting time at checkout.

Sunset has excellent quality of products and the service is very good. One of my favorite things is its corn beef and seafood salad. And Ron, one of the owners /managers always gives a very warm welcome to everyone.

Always a pleasure to stop in. Friendly and helpful environment. I do have dislike with the bakery department. You wait a long time just to ask the deli department to get someone from the bakery department and than still wait a bit longer for the bakery department to come out to assist. Otherwise, the overall is good.

Been shopping at Northbrook Sunset since 1978; there is no other store that even comes close to the quality of the people who work there. They also carry products that no one else does, or they will try to get it for you. Thank you for being there and doing it right.

It is very pleasant to visit this store, very organized, clean, I always go for the vegetables, they are very fresh. The price doesn't matter when everything looks so nice and they serve you with care.

Store is clean & well kept. Customer service is 100%. Shoutout to Daniel in produce who is very knowledgeable & answer all my questions.

Great service and products. The selection of products is impressive and the store is easy to navigate.

Everything displayed very nicely. Clean, plenty of help to direct people to what they want. They empty your basket when checking out. They load your bags in your car when you arrive at the door. Things were a little more costly but the conveniences made it worthy.

Ordered a full Thanksgiving dinner and pies. Unfortunately some guests caught covid and we canceled 2 pies.The staff could not have been more helpful and refunded the pies.

Very nice grocery store reminds me kinda of a cross between Whole Foods n Trader Joe's

Best place to shop! The workers are kind and friendly! Even in these days of overwhelmed workers they are always happy to look "in the back" to see if something came in. They are upfront about low or no supply. They carry good brands at reasonable prices! And Louis is most awesome as fish market manager!!

I love this store. It's not as huge as most grocery stores these days and carries almost anything you could possibly want. If not, they will try to get it for you.

Good local grocer with great meats, ready made and bakery. Prices a little high and choices a little low, but those are expected for a smaller neighborhood store. They do have good service, fast lines and will load your car for you, if you want. Been going for about 9 years now and it has always come through well.

Best sunset grocery store hands down. Ladies & gentlemen at the deli desk are so fast and sweet! I like how there are plenty of employees on the floor, you can ask them where things are and they guide you. Everyone is so sweet there!

Sunset Foods is a great place to shop! Lots of fresh produce, meat, bakery, desserts! Love the way they stack the meats and prepared items. They carry Dairyland Bakery - Chocolate Covered Cheesecake Bites! Very good!

Love this Grocery Store!! Wish one was closer but well worth trek! Meat is outstanding quality as is there produce. Many items I can't find at jewel and Sunset does.. More pricey on some items but that's OK. Staff is wonderful,very helpful and very polite.

I like to get my holiday brisket from them because they will slice it free if you purchase it from them. Prices were ok and they had some nice pot roast cuts there too that I grabbed

When on the Northshore and need groceries, look no further then Sunset Foods. A Northshore staple. Staff is amazing and always willing to help. Deli is awesome. Make sure you check out their fish department. Need dessert? Sunset Foods bakery is the best around.

Sunset foods is a treat to shop at! They manage to make a chore interesting and fun. A great selection of products. Your typical grocery store will offer a few choices per item, where as Sunset has a variety of brands to choose from. The employees are very helpful and knowledgeable. A great beer and wine selection as well. Definitely worth a visit!
