I had heard about this place & their great pies. So my sister and I took a ride to check it out.

Not disappointed at all! We really enjoyed our meal, the service & atmosphere. Everyone knew each other & were talking between tables. A wonderful, throw back to when people lingered & enjoyed life. Great, warm small town vibe ❤.

The baked French onion soup was delicious! Not salty, great flavor with great croutons. Fresh - not canned green beans. Homemade mashed potatoes with excellent white gravy. Great breading on the Georgettes & pork tenderloin.

We ordered French Silk pie for dessert but it was sold out - as we were there late. We had the Cream puff instead. Sooooo delicious - all made in house. So fantastic, that we forgot about the pie! Sure with I had bought on to take home!

We will definitely make the long drive & go back!

Always great, food is consistent, the chicken Jane and George are always delicious. You can’t beat the desserts and service! Good all around.

This was only my second time going here even though I only live 4 blocks away. The food, service and atmosphere are wonderful. The only things I can think of to improve is they were short on staff and we were there quite awhile. Also the menu doesn't describe the food, we had to ask what everything was. I guess if you are a regular you might know what chicken George, chicken Jane or smothered chicken is but we did not. The variety of desserts was amazing!

I ordered the prime sirloin! It was delicious! Well seasoned, tender, and juicy. It was cooked to perfection. (Medium) My wife ordered their Shrimp dinner which was equally delicious. We will definitely go back. Staff was very friendly.

We just moved to town and it was our first time checking the place out. The staff were all very friendly and the food was amazing!!! Having been in the industry for a long time I notice everything (good and bad) and there was honestly not one bad thing about this place. Definitely will return over and over again!!!

Great home cooked meals with a small town country feel. Friendly staff. The owners granddaughter was cleaning tables and another granddaughter was helping in the kitchen. It truly is a family run restaurant with comfortable at home feel. The menu has lots of variety with nightly specials like grilled cod, prime rib and bourbon chops. Certainly was a busy and popular spot.

We have been going to the Courtyard for years. Wonderful food and super nice staff. The chicken Jane is the best! I only wish they would bring back the big menu!

Best meal we've enjoyed in years. The beer battered fish was excellent. The staff is friendly and checked on our satisfaction thoughout. The place is cleaned beyond words. We were amazed! And satisfied!!

Love this place. Old school family restaurant. Food is always good and the old fashioned's are really good. Dessert is always good too. I wish they had more on the menu, but I see why they keep it simple and it works!

Used to eat at this warm and inviting restaurant years ago. I always felt so relaxed there! Food was spectacular and the service the same! Moved out of state so haven't been there in years. Moving back so will be a regular customer again!

If you visit the famous Sandwich, Il fair the largest county fair in 102 counties in Illinois Wednesday thru Sunday Labor Day week you need to check out this affordable steakhouse. Been there twenty times in my life. Their signature dish is chicken George fancy chicken nuggets. Exceptional deals on their steak pairings as well. Five minutes from the Sandwich Fair the next town over to the West. 63 miles west of Chicago.

The food here is always good. The wait staff is wonderful and the lemon meringue pie is always a must. If you see it on the pie board when you walk in, order it before your meal or it may be gone.

We have been going to the Village Courtyard forever. I can tell you there’s never been one instance of bad service or food. They are literally the best.

I found myself in Sandwich and was on the hunt for a new place for a Friday fish fry. I was intrigued by their website that they offered beer battered, broiled or blackened Cod. Much to my surprise I could get one of each as a platter. I enjoyed them all, but the beer battered was my favorite. Got a nice serving of green beans instead of potatoes, because they're breads are good and I wanted to enjoy the cheese spread they offer you. It goes great on crackers, breadsticks, bread or your fingers, according to the waitress. They've been around since 1982 and it's the same family run business. Even grandkids have their finger in the business. You got to get a piece of pie, the matriarch (the hostess) has been making them ever since day one with her daughter. I got a slice of cherry to-go after the cod feast.

Great food, great service, great atmosphere! I highly recommend this restaurant!
