Harper Animal Hospital

I just wanted to give a shout out to April at Harper Animal hospital. We had our almost 1 year old dog Chief neutered yesterday and she was so professional and helpful. I spoke with her a few days before the procedure for about 20 minutes and she answered all my questions and was to patient with me with all my questions. The reason I had so many questions was because this is the first time we waited to have one of our dogs neutered or spayed as the dogs we have previously had were fixed as puppies. Anyway, I have always found the Harper staff to be very nice and always helpful. April is a wonderful asset to your company.

I cannot say enough good things about Harper Animal Hospital. The staff at every level are fantastic- from the front desk to the veterinary technicians and the veterinarians. We have the privilege of working with Dr. Sally Ploch. She is the best veterinarian we have had over the years. She is caring and compassionate and extremely knowledgeable. Our dog has had a lot of medical issues, and I know she is in good hands with her. I feel she and the rest of the staff genuinely care about our dog, and you can see that from how calm our puppy is when we bring her and the fact that she often tries to go back in the door when we leave. If Dr. Ploch saw humans, I would happily have her as my primary care physician.

I was nervous to bring my kitty to the vet after some traumatic experiences with my parents senior cat. Harper’s staff and Doctor Ploch were above my expectations. Doctor Ploch handled my cat with such care and expertise. She is the best! The front desk staff even gave him a toy he has not stopped playing with. Thank you, Harper Animal Hospital for caring for and complimenting my kitty.

I feared the worst when our dog lost balance, leaned each step and fell down. Harper clinic has helped keep our old boy up and happy.

Friendliest vet I ever visited. The process of vaccinating & getting a check up was a lot faster than I thought it would be. My hats off to everyone working here, I feel a lot better knowing my pets been in great hands. 6/5 Stars.

Harper is our animal hospital for wellness visits for our dogs. Sadly, our recent visit was urgent & we went in with our golden retriever & left without him. With such an unexpected decision to make, they were so thoughtful & gave us plenty of alone time to come to terms with it. They brought us & our dog to a private room where we could all sit comfortably on the floor together one last time. They had a jar of Hershey Kisses, called 'goodbye kisses' so he got his first bite of chocolate (that we're aware of). We said goodbye. But the dr & staff was so amazing, I cannot thank them enough for that. They will remain our vet for our other dog. Thank you

I have been bringing all of my cats and dogs to Harper Animal Hospital since moving to the area almost 20 years ago. Dr Abel has been my veterinary rock through some rough times. All the staff are knowledgeable and kind and professional.

The vets at Harper Animal Hospital are caring, thorough, take time to answer all your questions and address your concerns and obviously love their furry patients. Yes I would certainly recommend Harper animal Hospital veterinarians.

We switched to Dr. Abel and could not wish for a better or more compassionate doctor. From the incredible front desk staff who greet you with genuine passion for their job to Dr. Abel that takes his time in understanding your pet and their idiosyncrasies, this was a spectacular experience. Highly recommend Harper Animal Hospital!!!

I have been going here since 1987 and they always mail and take great care of any issues we’ve had I would never go anywhere else.

Cannot say enough good things about them. Drs call back & always answer my questions in detail (even when I’m being a crazy overprotective cat mom). The entire staff is welcoming. My cat passed recently, & Dr Savitt worked w me to do everything we could to save her, incl setting up hospitalization. My cat also needed to be seen a bit more frequently due to being “irregular” & they always took the best care of her. When I recently adopted another cat, I knew I would go back here bc I don’t trust any other practice to take care of my fur babies.

First time seeing Dr.Ploch and received a very warm welcome. She is very caring and made us feel like a part of the Harper family already.

I would also like to thank the wonderful, very attentive staff and Doctor’s at Harper Animal Hospital. Twice over the past several months we had to make emergency visits without an appointment and they were nothing but accommodating making a nervous moment a more assuring and pleasant experience.

We have been blessed to have had Dr. Mary Grabowski as our Families Veterinarian for several years even prior to joining Harper Animal Hospital. Dr. Mary is one of the most compassionate, caring, animal loving people you’ll ever meet. Several years ago we had to make a very difficult decision to say goodbye to one our loving companions Wolfie, but it wasn’t until everything in her power to allow him to have a quality of life had run it’s coarse. Now we only have one Fur Buddy left and, although she has relocated, we’re so grateful that she is still within our area.

Very friendly. Quickly identified the problem our cat had with a solution to correct. Got in contact with other sources we needed.

Great experience so far, the ladies at reception are so warm and friendly and will to assist in person or over the phone.

Dr. Abel is so gentle and kind with my kitties. One is a bit of a spitfire and has been known to bite, scratch, or hiss at strangers who try to pick her up, but she's never done it to anyone in this office. They are all amazing!! The ladies in the front office are so great at helping you get whatever you need. We just love them so much.

The best place for your pets!! I live in the city now, but choose to drive to Harper Animal Hospital. Only place for 25+ years have we ever taken our pets. Caring, professional, loving, experts. THANK YOU for helping me this week to get my new rescue dog over the hurdles of her health issues. You are appreciated!

I just got a puppy and was super nervous with COVID that I wouldn't be able to be in the room with my pup. Harper came highly recommended so I gave them a try and I couldn't be more pleased! From my first phone call to the receptionist, she took the time to answer each and every one of my million questions. The tech who came out to get my puppy was very sweet which put my mind at ease. Dr. Fritz called me with updates from the appointment and again answered all my millions of questions. The process was simple and sweet. The scheduling was easy and with lots of time options. All in all HIGHLY recommend. I know my puppy was and will continue to be in good care with Harper!
