Hoffman Estates Animal Hospital, A Thrive Pet Healthcare Partner

I cannot speak highly enough about the people here. They helped my wife and I through the death of our first dog Pepper, and have taken the greatest care of our Dog Daxter. I tell everyone to come here and will continue coming to this vet until either they are gone, or I am!

They saved my dog's life. He was on death's door because of my old vet (Banfield), went to get a second opinion here and within 5 mins the doctor realized the issue. Just the wrong medication, and they immediately realized it. My dog was basically overdosing on the wrong medicine that he was prescribed, my old vet just kept upping his dosage for 8 months.

Thanks to Hoffman his turnover rate was almost immediate, lived another 6 years with us before having to be put down. Which I also went to Hoffman for and they did an amazing job. They dimmed the lights, left a sweet note at the front desk saying an angel is going to heaven today and they were so kind and patient. They explained the process to help us prepare for one of the worst days. 100/10 will be staying with them for all our pets and future pets

About a year and half ago I had to bring my beloved cat for a specialist opinion because she continued to be sick even after treatment by other animal hospitals. I read that Dr House was one of the best so I brought her in and received very precise and clear cut information about what was going on with Ginger. The news after we did an ultrasound was melancholy and Dr House and his great staff took all the time to form a treatment/care plan for Ginger. What I appreciated most was that Dr was very direct and detailed about the situation and what I could expect and look for from that point on. He and staff showed great compassion while giving as much information as possible. I had a lot of questions, and often was surprised to get full answers no matter how lengthy, what day it was or time of day. One morning when I saw that Ginger needed to be brought in immediately for euthanasia I called holding back emotion and the lady on the phone told me to bring her in immediately and squeezed me in that morning to let Ginger be at peace. Dr House was out of town so Dr Behm did the euthanasia with much kindness and professionalism. Again, the compassion, understanding, gentleness I received from the entire staff that day is something I will never forget. Leaving my sweet little furball behind was one of the hardest things I'd done but I knew her body was in good hands. Her ashes were ready within a few days and I received a beautiful paw print card but also, the thing that touched me most of all was the handwritten card from Dr House sending regrets he couldn't be present and supporting the decision I made to not let Ginger suffer. It was also signed by the staff of Hoffman Estates Animal Hospital. Thank you all very much.

Dr Gus and his entire team are incredible! So kind and helpful and thorough. I have brought two dogs there, a Maltese and a golden retriever, both diagnosed correctly and treated really well. Very happy to have found this animal hospital!

In my opinion there are no better veterinarians and staff in the entire Chicagoland area! Dr. House has been our vet for 40 years! Dr. House and Dr. Williams keep up with all the current treatments for our pets. They truly care about all their furry patients and their owners. Our pets, Tux and Tia, (below) are 16 years old and they've enjoyed their long life due to the care they've received at Hoffman Estates Animal Hospital. If I could give them 10 stars I would!

This is the best and most compassionate vet I've ever taken my pets to. She took great care of our pets One day I came home to find my beautiful dog deathly ill and called the hospital. They were just closed but they waited for me to bring my girl there. Sadly, my dog could not be treated and the doctor waited another 45 minutes for the other family members to come say their goodbyes. This doctor could not have been kinder or more caring. They even called the next day to check on us and sent a card a few days later. Very competent and very compassionate.

I bring my elderly (but feisty) cat to see Dr. Williams. He has a couple of recurring issues, nothing too serious, but still important to treat to keep him healthy. As lovable as he is at home, he is an absolute terror at the vet. I've had problems with every vet I've ever brought him to because he tries to bite, hisses, swats and sometimes pees all over the place.

Working with Dr. Williams has been incredible. She is always coming up with new tactics to try and keep him calm, and even though it doesn't always work, it has IMMENSELY helped during his appointments. It is nearly impossible to get blood drawn from him (most often we just have to go without), but she has devised a plan where he barely even notices when blood is being drawn because he's distracted by a bunch of different things. Not only is she a fabulous problem-solver, but she also is very friendly with and unafraid of my beast cat, even at his worst.

I highly recommend this practice, particularly Dr. Williams, especially if you have a cat who acts like a total jerk at the doctor.

New to the area and I am so glad I found Hoffman Estates Animal Hospital! Denise, Angela, and Dr Gus were absolutely amazing! Such great energy and extremely helpful. You can tell they all love their jobs and care deeply about each and every animal that walks through their doors. Will definitely be back! Give them a try you won’t be disappointed!

Dr. Hartmann took great care of my cats during their annual wellness visit! Highly recommend.
Update: I would like to reiterate that they provide the best care and put your pets as their #1 priority. The communication from the vet and staff has been phenomenal, and I would bring my cats back here again.

I have taken my pets to them for 13 years and I continue to be very satisfied with their service, their staff is very friendly and the doctors are great. They can keep up with my newest dog who has a temper(we nick named her crazy one for reason).

I trust my cat to this incredible Team of vets and staff. I am very comfortable that my cat is taken care of with the best love and care that I give her. I have been bringing my pets to Hoffman Estates Animal Hospital for almost two decades. I have been bringing my rescue kitty to Hoffman Estates Animal Hospital ever since she became a member of our household. That was 4 1/2 years ago and every doctor that Sadie has seen has been wonderful. They are thorough, gentle and most of all compassionate. All the staff have been just as wonderful too!!
Sadie will always have this clinic for her health and welfare issues. And she loves everyone there!!

Been going here for years, will never go anywhere else. We love Dr. Williams, but have seen the other vets too. They are all wonderful and compassionate people. The staff is also great. I moved last year and they aren't exactly convenient for me to drive to anymore, but I will happily go out of my way to continue to take my pets here. Best vets office ever!

I am so incredibly grateful to be a client here. From my initial emails, to the visit, to the check out and follow up - everyone has been so wonderful. Denise at the front desk was so quick to respond to my emails and jumped to help me the minute I walked in the door. Ashley, Tina, Josie & Ang were the people behind the scenes that deserve a ton of recognition for being so compassionate, gentle and patient with my cats. Dr. Hartmann was so thorough and never made me feel like I was being silly. She took her time to answer all of my questions in a way that I was able to easily understand. Lastly, Dianne was very quick to get my checked out and send me my invoice for insurance immediately.

As a pet parent, my biggest concern is always the care that my cats receive. When I came here, I immediately knew they were in really good hands. Dr. Williams and the rest of the staff are amazing. We have been bringing our dog for 12 years and are so grateful to have them!! We’ve had nothing but wonderful experiences year after year. They care for your pet like their own, take time to answer all of your questions, and make you feel confident in the health of your pet.

Took our cat to this vet for the very first time during lock-down restrictions. It's a bit nerve-racking dropping your pet off with people you've never met before. The staff was amazing though and made me feel safe leaving my kitty with them. The vet called me often during the appointment to find out important details and to update me on her status. It was a great experience and while I hope my cats stay healthy and I don't need to use them often I'll definitely be going to them again in the future.

You can definitely tell the staff love their jobs - and our pets. The service is personal and your pet gets the attention and care they deserve. They really listened, asked questions and provide direction very thoroughly. After our pet was sick, I loved that they called and followed up to make sure she was on her way to recovery. I have left reviews before because they are just so amazing here. But I had to leave another one right now because I received a voicemail from them just checking up on my dog after a traumatizing experience we had. I can not believe that they called me just to check up on her!! You guys are so amazing and the way you are so compassionate towards all of your patients just warms my heart!!! I would recommend anyone and everyone to you guys!! I have had pets my entire life but I have never experienced such love and care from a vet office!! Thank you for all you do!!!
