Main Street Belly Deli & Homer Soda

I was just in Homer yesterday with my girlfriend, and we wanted some ice cream on the hot day. There were a few flavors to choose from, but we both found something we enjoyed. Prices were definitely reasonable, and the place itself was neat, with an older vibe to it. All and all, I would recommend it to anyone looking for a place with a family friendly atmosphere.

This is one of those places that I take all of my out-of-town visitors. The shop is a beautiful historic building and everything is mostly authentic. We always get great customer service when we come (though there is usually only one employee working, so be patient). There are few places in the area that are so unique, which is why I'm willing to drive 30 minutes to get ice cream! My usual is a soda float with mint ice cream and a botanical-type soda - I can't remember exactly what flavor and I didn't think I would like it at first but it is amazing. Overall, great value and fun experience. If I could change one thing, I would wire up a switch to the arcade game they have in the store so that the speaker could be turned on and off (the sound got kind of annoying when the store was empty and quiet).

I thought this quaint little deli was so wonderful and they had amazing sandwiches named after like Humphrey Bogart and Marilyn Monroe,and John Wayne....and the choices of soda pops were amazing...I keep asking my husband to take me back...so hopefully he will...would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone...they also have ice cream and a gift shop....If you get a chance to go there check it out...way better than any subway,Quiznos,or Jimmy John's...their sandwiches will fill you up

Just had the best Roast beef sandwich I've had in a long time. If you are ever in Homer for anything. Stop in here to get a top-notch, top-quality sandwich and then choose from their HUGE soda collection.

Was very enjoyable, very fresh and delicious. Glad we stopped on our way to Champaign. Definitely will journey there again.
