I searched long and hard for an AME in Austin and Chicago as I was in the process of moving and beginning my flight training in Chicago. I decided to schedule my Class-1 Med with Dr. Robert Noven. This was THE BEST CHOICE! He works with you as a human and not as a numbered patient. I am 42 years of age and Dr. Noven has been the the absolute best medical doctor I have ever went to in my life as he calmly gets to know you, your background and your goals, making the entire process an enjoyable one and the process was less than 45 minutes.

For any new or even mature pilot looking for an amazing AME in the Chicago-land area, you must see Dr. Noven - you will not regret it. I now train full-time as a pilot in central-FL but I will be flying up to Chicago to renew my medicals only with Dr. Noven.

I have been flying for 15 years, and without hesitation I can say Dr. Noven is about as good as it gets if you’re looking for an aviation medical examination. He’s punctual, friendly, and very helpful if you have any medical related questions. Always a positive experience!

Given this was my first experience with an Airman Medical Certificate, I was pretty overwhelming with the process and gravity of everything. Dr. Nevon was extremely helpful throughout the process, and made everything a lot less stressful. Although I have a couple items to follow up with, he gave me a solid outline in order to proceed most effectively, and has been very accessible for all of my questions.

He also has a really great online scheduling system that I didn't see with any of the other AMEs I looked at scheduling with. If you're in the Chicago area and looking for an Airman Medical Examiner, I highly recommend Dr. Nevon.
