I recently visited this grocery store, and I must say, I was highly impressed! The service was top-notch, and there were so many options to choose from. The fruit was fresh, everything was neat and clean, and the staff was super friendly. It made shopping a breeze! Plus, I love that it is conveniently located. The deli section is a gem! They offer delicious breakfast sandwiches and soups at reasonable prices. And when it comes to their drinks selection, it is a wow! Whether you're into wine, sparkling wine, beer, or spirits, they've got you covered with an affordable and diverse range. Overall, I had a fantastic experience here. It's clear that the owners and staff take pride in what they do, and it shows in every aspect of the store. I will definitely be returning whenever I'm in town. If you're looking for a clean, convenient grocery store with great food and drinks, this is the place to go!

I popped in to this small grocery store during a break in the conference I was attending because the hotel restaurant was packed but the weather wasn't ideal for venturing far. I was able to get a custom sandwich plus soup for a reasonable price and enjoyed them at one of the small tables near the entry. The staff were patient and helpful. A hidden gem for conference-goers looking for a bit of quiet and a simple meal!

Best way to be thrifty. Ready made soup, salads, and dinners to go. Deli for sandwiches or cold cuts to go. Great stop for all groceries, water, wine, beer, and snacks to avoid hotel upcharge. Prices are super reasonable. Chicken tortilla soup was really good (all three of us agreed). Tables for eating while there are clutch. Everything was very clean and all counter help was nice. Tom was very welcoming and entertaining. Highly recommend this place and will be back during our trip.

This is a small location versus the larger one we passed while out and about. It was just a quick walk from the hotel we stayed at which was a huge money saver since the hotel was so expensive. Although small, it was perfect for our morning needs. Everything you could possibly need from fresh made foods to frozen. Nice range of alcoholic beverages as well. I just grabbed my energy drink, bottle of water and hard boiled eggs to start the busy day while away for work.

What a godsend this place is. Really can’t stress this enough. If you’re “stuck” in downtown (new east side at least), and not on somebody else’s nickel, this place will be your salvation. Good (inexpensive) food, a great little beer and wine section, morning coffee, friendly people. I was there so often, my wife’s gonna think I was dating a cashier.

I have been here twice so far and have been very pleased with this store. The store was near the hotel I stayed and I didn't want to pay an arm and a leg for my meals so this grocery store was a great alternative. The food is fresh and tasty and has most if not all accommodations of a grocery store. I would definitely come here again.

Great spot if you're looking for an easy bite to eat and everything else is closed. Great salad bar and deli counter. My guy Andrew just made me a very tasty Reuben. Highly recommend

I've worked near there for years but didn't start shopping there until recently. Great customer service, clean, good selection of takeout items and drinks, and decent sandwiches. Better than Mariano's in terms of quality.

Really great selection for a smaller corner store, especially compared to some of the smaller liquor/convenience stores we used to live near in the South Loop. Everyone who works here is super friendly too.

Been shopping here at the Columbus Dr. location for nearly 3 years. Always friendly & courteous service. Solid selection of quality food & snacks. During normal times they were a great spot for a late-night bite... open until midnight. Thank you Bockwinkel's staff...

I stayed at the Regency Hyatt during the recent "Groundhog Day" snowstorm.

This was a pleasant surprise! Great selection at the deli, helpful staff, and an amazing selection of groceries!

My only quibble... the cashiers need to add utensils and napkins to the bags for customers who buy deli items!

Convenient little store located right on the corner, it was close to our hotel and open late! It had everything we needed and more!

$9 for a burger and soup- amazing!
