Dr. Jack G. Walz

Dr. Walz is a miracle worker and I have been a patient for over a decade. He has helped improve my quality of life dramatically. He cares about his patients and has a variety of approaches to help with TMJ. He is a great resource in central Illinois.

Was experiencing extreme jaw pain - fitted me with an orthotic device last year and I have been pain free ever since. Staff is friendly, appointments are quick, and they even helped me apply for financing when device wasn't covered under either dental or medical insurance. Highly recommend!

I have been in treatment with Dr. Walz for years and have been seen in both offices. The treatment I receive from his office has improved my life. I trust his opinion completely.

I was referred to Dr. Walz by my dentist to address my TMJ Disorder because it was getting worse and worse. When I called to make an appointment I asked how much I was going to have to pay that day, knowing that I only had a $40 co-pay. The lady on the phone told me that it is Dr. Walz policy to pay the full amount at the time of the appointment and that my insurance company would reimburse me at a later date. To me that struck me as money greedy and weird. I went and had the consult, the total of my treatment BEFORE insurance was going to be $3,755.00 that they expected you to pay the day that you were to receive your appliances. I asked how much we would be reimbursed and she told me that she has seen some cases get 100% back but others only get back 50% or less reimbursed from their insurance companies.

The lady on the phone also told me it was going to be $149 and come to find out they charged my mom $249...Not only the money part of it but I personally did not care for Dr. Walz's dimeaner on top of everything else, he was very rough and with me already being in severe pain, him pushing on my face the way that he did made me almost jump out of the chair and only made my pain worse and I was in even more pain that night.

I do NOT recommend him, there are a couple other TMJ Disorder specialists in the central Illinois area. Dr. Willey with Koala in North Peoria (Dunlap Address) is amazing and his approach to this disorder makes ALOT more sense and he has even treated many patients from Dr. Walz.
