Ching's Chinese Restaurant

Probably my favorite Chinese restaurant in Normal! I’ve always had good service and fresh hot food. The wonton soup is a must. The pork fried rice and honey chicken is always good too.

Listen, all us Foodies know that the small “Mom & Pop” shops, “Roach Coach’s”, “Dives” and “Hole in the Wall” places are the best place to eat! This place should NOT be overlooked!
I did a signing with some wonderful people there today and had the honor of tasting their food. Now, my husband and I are Chinese Foodies and I am at a loss for words! The food at this amazing little place is LITERALLY the BEST Chinese Food we have EVER eaten!
We live in a tiny rural central Illinois town and it is a drive to get there but I am telling you it is so good we would drive to Normal just to get our Chinese fix from this off the chart’s restaurant!

Food was ready fast, even called to tell us it was ready early. It was great. Delicious and good and spicy.

Been to several Chinese places around town and this one is by far the best option for your money. Excellent service, cashier took the time to make sure every item in the bag was made to our specifications. Food was delicious, everything was made fresh. I will certainly be back.

Update: been to Chings about 20 times since my initial review and the food has been excellent every time. However, don't come here and expect to dine in, and having never ordered delivery I can't speak on that, but my experience with to-go orders has been great every time.

Best Chinese food in Normal. Been eating their lunch special twice a month for 5 or so years. Tried 40 things and liked them all. Always hot and fresh. Try the Shrimp Lo Mein!! If you like it spicy, they will go crazy spicy for you!!!

First time having it, was super fire!!!! Orange chicken was really good with real orange in it. If your a donut lover like me, their donuts will melt in your heart. Lo me in was really good, fried rice was a good as the Thai House. My new favorite Chinese joint.!!

I always get takeout here when I want some Chinese. Fast and always fresh. The fried rice is better than most takeout (not soggy, not hard) with good flavor. Also some vegetable dishes like triple green Jade are delicious and not overcooked. I recommend hot chicken and boneless spare rib. Egg rolls are also better than most takeout , overall favorite takeout in the area, always consistent. Can't speak for the delivery, but takeout is always great.

Nice hidden little spot in north Normal that has some great Chinese food! We tried General Tso’s chicken and an egg roll and it was very good! The team member that took our order was also very friendly! We will certainly be back! Thanks!

Overall, All my experiences with Chings have been solid. Food is pretty good, orders have been right and it's pretty cheap (especially when you use Grubhub!). I think one time I didn't get a fortune cookie which sucked, but other that that great.

Awesome fried dumplings, they likely make most things on the menu by hand and it shows. The love is tasted and the sauce that comes with the dumplings is perfect for it.

Update on lo mein: used to cook in soy sauce and cheapened it up making it not taste good anymore. So sad, was my favorite lo mein.

5/5 Tastes -Homemade lo mein noodles are the best, never had a fresher one before. They take great care and pride in the food, yeah it seems oily but it really helps heal the soul

Absolute excellent experience each visit so far. Food was hot and flavorful fairly priced. Decent portions as well. Everything was put together and safely distributed. =]

I've lived in Normal for 5 years, and have lived behind this restaurant for 3, and just discovered how amazing this place is like 4 months ago. As a vegetarian, this place is the bomb as they have general tso tofu and sezchuan tofu which is sooo good. Moving out of town and am getting really depressed at the thought of not being able to find these amazing tofu dishes anywhere else. This is the only Chinese place I've ever ordered from that has a tofu dish this delicious- let alone two!

Great chinese food. The Lo Mein, honey chicken, and General Tso's are usually great. There have been a just a few times where the quality of the chicken wasn't great, but that is a pretty low percentage. The egg rolls are delicious.

Not much to look at on the outside, but lunch specials are cheap and the food is tasty. I had the Kung Pow Chicken with pork fried rice and crab rangoons, all excellent. They earned a repeat customer in me.

I really love the food here. The people are friendly and it is fast service. Very clean place and I recommend going or getting delivery if you’re looking for some delicious Chinese food.
