The Lucca Grill

5 stars all the way! The food and service were both fantastic! Cool hip atmosphere in an old school building with awesome decor, great menu and everything we had was delicious. Also very reasonable prices for what you’re getting. I highly recommend Lucca Grill and if you’re reading this and debating on whether to go or not, just go! You won’t be disappointed! Best pizza in Bloomington. Great atmosphere and friendly service. The pizza is amazing. When you’re looking for good times, good pizza, and good drinks get on down to Lucca Grill. Best to make reservations. Open for lunch and dinner. Plenty of parking in the back. Service is quick, but take your time and enjoy.

This is one of our favorite local date night places, especially when we have an event downtown Bloomington. This time, we had something scheduled at the BCPA across the street, and it was the perfect spot to eat ahead of the show.

We always order an A La Baldini pizza... even if it's to reheat and eat later. We LOVE the cracker crust and the delicious flavor/ texture combination of toppings.

We also wanted to try the antipasto platter, and I'm glad we did. As far as appetizers go, it was light, flavorful, and refreshing.

We both ordered the steak sandwich with mozzarella and grilled onions. The fries were surprisingly addictive. I couldn't stop eating them, even though I was getting full.

The highlight for me was the coffee from my favorite local place, The Coffee Hound! I needed the caffeine but loved the flavor.

I have always sat downstairs and love the vibe, but this time, I sat upstairs and have to say that I enjoyed the space and the legroom. It was quiet enough to carry on a conversation, and the staff was attentive.

Great old downtown Bloomington bar and grill. Good food and service. Strongly recommend you get a reservation! It fills up quickly, and there is a reason for that.
We stopped for an early dinner before a concert at the Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts, which is just a crossed the street.
We will definitely be back!

Lucca's has delicious pizza, and it always feels like you have been taken back in time to a pizza parlor on the East Coast. Great service! The thin crispy crust is the best around. We love the garlic cheese bread with their homemade chunky marinera sauce. It's literally the best marinara dipping sauce! I like to pile it on each piece of cheesy bread goodness, and it is chef's kiss. These are pics from our visit to dinner last night, and it was just extra. First time getting their onion rings, and they were the best onion rings I've had. Pro tip: make reservations for Fri or Sat night because they book up.

Cozy old school pizza place. There’s a reason they’ve been open almost 100 years and it’s the amazing pizza!

The A La Baldini pizza, typical supreme toppings, was delicious with nice crispy thing crust.

There’s lots of seating along the bar, but not too many tables, so I’d recommend a reservation during busy lunch/dinner times.

Little hidden gem we stumbled upon as we were heading home and passing through the town. I ordered the Lemon Butter Garlic Shrimp Pasta and he had the Pasta Primavera with Shrimp. We ordered a Luca Supreme pizza to take home with us. Service staff was very attentive and provided great customer service. I finished my entree at the restaurant and he has more than enough left of his entree to take home once we finished our salads. We were offered bread with butter, nothing spectacular about the bread, but it was good and helped as we waited for our food. Very happy we made reservations as they were pretty packed for dinner service on a Saturday evening. We sat upstairs and ate and we were offered a beverage for the road.

My wife and I were recommended pizza at Lucca's, and boy did they deliver! A quality atmosphere with TOP NOTCH pizza! Absolutely no complaints!

We stopped to see this iconic Route 66 restaurant, and really wish we would have eaten dinner there. The restaurant was packed, and the interior looked really fun and inviting, and of course, historic. Maybe next time.

Just yum. The crispy pizza crust was perfect and the pizza itself sooo good. Downstairs has a nice bar vibe and upstairs is a little different but fun cause it feels like you're not really supposed to be up there 😅.

Delicious food. This is a small restaurant with a cozy ambient in the middle of Normal IL. I really liked the setting, not too flashy but food and service is par nice. I was here on my way back from Chicago to Bentonville and took a stop here for my Lunch. I ordered Pasta primavera with chicken (it was server recommendation) and I must say that I loved the food. Five star without second thought.

Great spot in Bloomington. We went pre game and had a delicious thin crust pizza. There style is extra thin but the crust is crunchy, not floppy. Good flavor, not overdone with toppings, sauce or cheese. Easy to park for free around the corner. Served RC cola which you don't find often.

My favorite discovery in Bloomington! I’ve had pizza, spinach and artichoke, lasagna. Had a blue moon on tap while I waited on one visit and was perfect. You won’t regret this place! Try it!

The food was really good I just got toasted raviolis and hot wings, the people I was with got Alfredo and pesto pastas and said those were great too. I only got 4 wings on my appetizer which surprised me but they had great flavor. I would definitely recommend this place for a quick bite to eat

If you're passing anywhere near Bloomington this is worth a detour. We were in town from Chicago and this was up there with some of the best pizzas I've had. If you like cracker thin crisp crust this is the spot. There's only one or two other pizza places I'd give 5 stars to I'd say Lucca's is probably tied with my current #1. If we're any where within an hr of here I'd make that detour to eat here again.

Had a great anchovie and sausage pizza. Pepperjack cheesballs and fried mushrooms. All great food and good service. Very historic and homey. Service was great too. Definitely a higher quality thin style crisp crust and great ingredient quality on my visit.

This place has the BEST pizza in town! We love the thin, crispy crust and all of the amazing flavors. The Baldini is my favorite, a little spicy with the pepperincinis but not too spicy. The fried ravioli appetizer is delicious too. I highly recommend this restaurant. The decor is retro/old school - very cool old pizza style restaurant.

Really good pizza. Nice ambience. Great service...food came out fast and owner even checked in on us. Will be back.

All around excellence. In my ten years of living in Blo-No, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard that Lucca Grill has the best pizza in town. But I’d never tried it myself… UNTIL TODAY.

Let me tell you, it lived up to the hype. Perfectly crispy crust, perfectly flavored sauce, perfect balance of cheese and toppings. Simply delightful. (We got the A La Baldini—go big or go home, folks)

The dining room was packed when we arrived, but the service was prompt and friendly. And, as the kids would say, the vibes were immaculate. ✨

10/10 would recommend.
