Angry Wankel

Was taking a trip from Texas through to Michigan, on our way back our car check engine light started to blink. This is the only place that answered their phone and was open ! We were so impressed, they were extremely friendly and so helpful. They got us back on the road in no time! Thank you guys so much for making our emergency a smooth sail!

Guys were just awesome. Our college kid was far from home and the car died. Got a jump start and she drove it to chain auto parts store and they told her it was a major electrical malfunction. Brought it to these guys and it was just a dead battery. They were honest and kept the cost low and got our daughter on her way. Highly recommended and very happy with their honesty and service, thanks guys!

On the way to church my battery and alternative decided to die... with my large family holed up in an empty post-service church I had enough juice to make to AutoZone for parts and the store gave me the recommendation of Angry Wankel to install the alternator. With little notice they did the job fast and inexpensively... too inexpensively for me, so I gave them a tip bigger then what they wanted to charge me. These guys are smart and really know cars...deeply. It is not a pristine place but they are honest and inexpensive.

So thankful for these guys! Traveling through Illinois and ran into some car trouble late on a Saturday afternoon. They graciously agreed to fit our van into their schedule and were super kind and efficient. Not only that but they were very upfront with all costs and it was much less expensive than we anticipated. Really very highly recommend and we were definitely blessed by Angry Wankel tonight!

I've had a lot of my front suspension replaced, some break work done and a few miscellaneous jobs done by these guys and they've always been honest. These are some honest down to earth mechanics who know their trade. Recommend several friends to them who have also been satisfied

These guys were super knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating to look at my car last minute on a Sunday when it suddenly stopped working. They were able look at it and repair much sooner than anticipated, with very fair pricing. Highly recommend!!

WOW you simply cannot beat the prices nor the customer service and professionalism of this place I really hope that they continue to be honest businessmen. Great customer service here. They were able to get the part for my car and fix it correctly when in no time. All the people working there know what there doing, they gave me a run down of every little detail from replacing the part, to cleaning the gunk out of my my engine. Super friendly and relay able!

I was traveling to St. Louis from Chicago. My car shifted hard and the check engine light started blinking, signaling a misfire. This is at like 630 pm or so. I get off the highway, go to Autozone to see if I can use their scanner, it takes forever and while I’m waiting I see this place is still open. I figure okay better to get a real pros opinion. I get there and am promptly greeted. I tell them what’s going on and they agree it sounds like a misfire. They use their scanner to confirm this. I’m debating what to do, go to St. Louis or limp my car home. They let me know it would be okay to limp it home and that it wouldn’t cause any further issues and explained what I would need done once I got it back to my mechanic. I was more than happy to pay the diagnostic fee. I needed that little push to know what to do. If I ever relocate or am in the area, I know who I can trust. I meant to write this review right after it happened but work has kept me busy. Thank god they has those extended hours and were more than willing to share their knowledge. I felt much safer after having my sub checked out. If you need a trustworthy mechanic, look no further.

This is hands down one of the best shops I've ever been too. We were traveling from Missouri to Michigan and had issues with my truck. On a sat at 230 they got us in stopped everything else and got has back safely on the road, if you ever need any work done I'd make sure they are the ones to work on your vehicle

I was towed in on a snowy Sunday afternoon. The owner meet us and made us very comfortable. I asked for and .."Received".. all OEM or better parts. Chris was great to work with keeping me updated the entire way thru. Price was very fair and quality of work after only 2 days and getting back on the road very good as well.

These people was so good to me and my family, they stayed extra hours after closing to make sure me and my family made it back home to Michigan, we are very thankful that we found this shop, we would have been stranded and they actually cared to help us and fix our vehicle for a great price. Made sure my kids had stuff to drink during this very hot day. Thank you so much!!

I had been fighting a problem with my AC/Heat blower randomly working. I replaced the Blower Motor and the Blower Resistor and no go. I was at my whit's end with this problem. I was told to use Angry Wankel by Twin City Garage in Normal, IL. They were right. I took it Angry Wankel and the problem was resolved by end of shift. The problem was 3 fold. A slow burn fuse, Blower switch in the Dash Fused and a blown Blower Resistor. It is awesome having my AC/Blower working now. They also installed my Rear Backup camera better than I could have. I highly recoomend these guys for Audio/Video or Electrical problems. Thanks

We had an accident which needed some urgent repair and we came to Angry Wankel. Chris just saved us that day since we had a long trip planned to go . I would highly love to recommend their service for anyone looking for expert service with a reasonable price. Very nice and knowledgeable people.

Thanks to Allen and his co-workers. for the good service. to the brakes of my GMC ACADIA and he explained me the details that caused that to my GMC. and we arrived at our destination well thank you very much for working on Sunday. yes I recommend them

While on a roadtrip from Florida we developed a bad bearing noise from the water pump. After the nearby O'Reilly suggested calling them they squeezed us in on a very busy Sunday. They had us back on the road in a few hours and provided some great conversation to boot. An honest shop that saved the day!

Brought my vehicle here for front end noise that Chevy could not detect. Chris found the issue immediately. He also shared additional precautions that impressed me to drive back from Chicago for a left axle and tie rod replacement. Job well done and very professional.

I highly recommend Angry Wankel if you got issues with your car and want them gone. There's nothing they cannot handle... and if you stick around while they're working, you get to listen to good music. :) :))

Awesome shop and great guys! Needed a shop at 6pm and everywhere else was closed. They're open later than most other shops around and on weekends, which is so great!! Also above and beyond customer service! They've given me rides home instead of having me wait there or spend money on an Uber. They will make sure your car is perfect! Their prices are super reasonable as well!! Will definitely be coming back👍👍

These Guys are Awesome!! My Bmw 535i had multiple leaks. They fixed everything. They went beyond the call of duty. For about half of what I would have paid. Anywhere else. Thanks Again Chris. I wish they were a little closer to Chicago but it’s worth the drive to have it done right. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I would give them six stars out of 5. Lol
