Bella Vista Mexican Restaurant

We ordered catering of Mexican food for a rehearsal dinner. The presentation ( including a unique serving table) was perfect. Jorge and an assistant cooked and served food to our guests. Everyone loved the food ( and we enjoyed all of the leftovers)! We would definitely consider catering again and highly recommend Bella Vista!

Great Mexican food! Ordered nachos with chicken and guacamole for starters. The red sauce on the table had a real good kick to it. Then had the chorizo taco dinner. Jorge the manager added a grilled habanero 🌶 when I asked for more spice. Delicious!! Jorge was super nice and was great to talk to. No alcohol but they had a great variety of Mexican sodas and drinks. Will be coming back again!!!!

Nestled between Route 31 and Elmwood Court, Bella Vista emerges. It boasts a red and gray exterior with colorful signs on the windows. Inside it's adorned with all sorts of Mexican inspired memorabilia. It definitely has that authentic Mexican restaurant feel when you walk in.

The tacos were tasty. Definitely some of the better tacos I've had within the area. You'll get a double tortilla, a big portion of meat, and a nice ratio of toppings. I noticed the cut of onion was ever so slightly bigger than what I normally see, giving more of a crunch, which I didn't mind.

Though it might not look like it, they also have a drive thru. It's not 100% obvious, even though they have a pretty large drive thru sign haha. The set up is interesting. There's no divider between the drive thru lane and parking spaces so it just looks like a big lot. Also, no intercom, you just drive up to the window, they take your order and then drive around to the opposite side of the building, where there is another window, where you pick up.

Overall, the tacos were good, service was good, and definitely worth making the trip if you're looking for good tacos and an authentic dine-in experience.

We chose Bella Vista to cater our party. We had the steak, chicken, and pastor, tacos. All was amazing!! Not to mention, they have the best tortilla chips around. The portions are huge, highly recommended! We will be back, so easy, so convenient!

We ordered food for an anniversary celebration with about 35 people. We thought it was wonderful! Everything was excellent quality and the taste was delicious. Very generous portions, so we are enjoying the leftovers. The rice pudding was creamy and sweet with the lovely mango tang. The fresh cilantro, lime, lettuce, onion and tomatoes added so much. The steak was a big hit. Excellent chicken and vegetable options too. And both homemade salsas (red and green) are delicious, with just the right spice. Crispy and tasty chips too. Will definitely use them again!

Great customer service and great food for reasonable prices.

We had a graduation/ birthday celebration and my friends and family really enjoyed the food! My guests also said the setup was very nice too! The service was excellent!

Stopped by on my semi to this little place on my way to deliver a load to McHenry and it was one of the best choices I made today. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a really nice lady that took my order. I got 4 tacos de carnitas and I had to try the birria ones so I got 1 of those. And to be honest, they were really good!!! I love really far from here but I'm going to take.the drive with the whole family when I'm off that's how good the tacos were. Thank you guys for the great food and even better customer service! Highly recommended!!

Great little local place. Owners are kind and considerate. $3 per taco is a hard price to beat in these times. Nothing bad to say about this place, it’s one of the few restaurants where it’s entirely authentic Mexican food with a homely atmosphere. Dining arrangement is comfy and warm.

Very unique family owned restaurant. Authentic Mexican style food, they have delicious tripita, barbacoa and lengua! The burritos are ginormous and very affordable prices. Not too many places left like this!

Delicious food! I’m a full blown beaner and this is the closest to authentic mexican food. My recommendation would be the gotta. and the service here is top notch as well, the food came out in about 10 mins which is unheard of around this area. Very much recommend to anyone looking for authentic mexican food to feast on.

Hired Bella Vista to cater our event and it was simply amazing. The presentation, the staff, reasonably priced, and the food was absolutely amazing! Will DEFINITELY be using them again.

The food is great, the Hibiscus Water is Delicious & our Waitress was the sweetest , Kindest, most attentive ever. It was my Birthday the last time I was there, she played Happy Birthday for me & gave me the most delicious Tiramisu for my Birthday! I can't wait to go back. Their Burritos are so good & very large. Fed me for 3 days😅.
Love this place & seriously, where else can you get fresh Hibiscus Water?! I will travel back there just fir tge water! Highly recommend!

Bella Vista catered an event at our home. THE FOOD WAS OUTSTANDING! Jorge was so easy to work with and made the process worry free. Everyone went back for seconds and wanted to know where the food was from. I think they will be visiting the restaurant soon. Thank you Jorge!!!!!!

My daughter had her wedding catered from Bella Vista. I can’t say enough about the food being the best and the quantity is very generous. The service and presentation was wonderful. I was lucky enough to be meeting a friend in Carpentersville and we chose to meet for lunch here. I say lucky enough because this was the best mexican food I've had in a long time. The rice, the beans, the onions, all of it reminded me of Mexico. To quote the terminator, I'll be back.

Bella Vista catered for my wedding this past weekend and all my guest kept saying how amazing the food was! They have a variety of foods to choose from, such as Mexican, American, Chinese, Italian and much more! I’ve ordered from them for two years and they have never disappointed! All their food is made fresh from scratch and the staff is very nice and available to make your event a special one! Totally recommend!! 5/5 stars ⭐🌟🌟⭐🌟

Thanks to all the hard work and excellent food. From the minute we met with Jorge for a tasting to the clean up at the end of our wedding was the easiest thing in our wedding planning. Communication was constant with top tier food. Not one person complained about the food. Absolutely delicious. if you need catering or just a great dinner this is the place to go!
You guys will be catering the next Pope function for sure!
