Breast Cancer Center is the best. When dealing with cancer, they treat you so gently. Dr. O'Connor is THE BEST THERE IS. She actually saved my wife's life by going out of her norm to check on her. Rushed back into OR for hemorrhaging.

A couple of the men who draw blood in the lab have attitude problems.

I called asking what happens if I can't make it for my second treatment tomorrow because of the pending ice storm. No return call. This is not the only time my question wasn't answered. It's hard enough dealing with cancer, I really need answers.

The direct line medical staff is terrific. The protocols that allow sick friends and relatives into radiation therapy waiting rooms needs to be addressed. This past week I experienced two non patients in the waiting room with active colds and not wearing masks. Frankly, is there a need for more than one non patient in pre-treatment waiting rooms, as there were at least two on several occasions? Many patients receiving both chemo and radiation have very low immune system defenses to fight colds/flu.

Also, I had a radiation Dr. and his nurse, tell me that radiation therapy in concurrence with chemo, did not lower blood counts. My research indicates that radiation therapy can indeed, lower blood counts.
