Trucking through Maine, we stopped in here. It was cozy and antiquated. Klserver was great. I got the haddock and my dad got steak. He said well done, but it came out medium well. He said it was good either way.
The haddock was thicccc. The bounciest fish I've ever eaten. Really thick 12 inch filet. Cracker breaded. The potatoes were ok. A little dry but still good. And the murder of crows outside was wild. Never seen so many crows. 500+

Wonderful visit. Buffalo Mac n cheese was perfect. Mozzarella triangles were huge and delicious. Definitely will be going back.

It's been quite a while since Ive been in a 99 Restaurant. Years in fact. I remember feeling let down when I visited the one in Auburn Maine, so when my friend chose this 99 in Augusta, I figured why not. We went on a Tuesday night, so it wasn't really busy, but there were people there. We got seated right away and met our server, Tiffany, shortly after. She was attentive and friendly. Refreshing actually.
I ordered the 12oz. Sirloin and my friend the fried shrimp with coleslaw. Food came out quite quickly and I have to say, everything was perfect. My medium steak was done perfectly and the fries were plentiful and hot.

Atmosphere looked a little outdated, but still gave 4 stars for atmosphere.

I would eat at this location again without hesitation.

The 99 is a great place eat. We had Sunday lunch there. The food was great, the waitress was friendly and took good care of us. Prices are reasonable and we got a good portion.

First time trying 99 visiting the area on vacation, and the steak tips did not disappoint! Definitely can’t wait for another New England trip to try 99 again.

The staff was very accommodating for our group size. The food was good. They even had something for me who had a restriction.

I stopped by for dinner during a business trip to Augusta in 2017. The service and the food were so good that i decided that the next time I am in town I will be back. This time, as in the fist, the food and service were exceptional. Can't go wrong with the seafood chowder and the royal skeak was just phenomenal. Staff is friendly and service is fast. This is my secret little place in Maine

A great experience! We were in the area for a basketball tournament and had a party of about 17 people and didn't have a lot of time. The two servers we had were awesome - so friendly and accommodating. Our orders arrived quickly, and we were able to make our next game in plenty of time. They event treated all the kids to ice cream sandwiches. Thanks again for everything - excellent customer service!

6 of us ate dinner at the 99 in Augusta last night. B/c we know how busy it can get during a Sat night dinner hour, we decided to meet at 4:30 to beat the rush. The first 2 arrived, & were led to a table for six. When the other 4 arrived 5 minutes later, we were aware that the booth, supposedly for 6, really would only seat 4 comfortably. The waitress came right over & took our drink & appetizers order. There was not a long wait for those to arrive & we placed our order for dinner. Everything was good, except 1 thing, a side of broccoli served with the stuffed shrimp was not cooked. It was warmer than you'd put in a salad, but I expected it to be steamed. All the other food was very good. We weren't disappointed, but just felt squashed together the whole time. 3 women had to put pocketbooks on the floor behind their feet. We are all middle-aged & not as slim as we were at 20.

Great service (Sharon was wonderful!) and delicious food. This was our first visit to 99 since we're from out of the area and we'll definitely look for another. We appreciated the server's knowledge of celiac disease and care when handling gluten free foods to avoid cross contamination. Thank you!!

We love 99's!!! They have the absolute best chicken tenders! The honey mustard is to so good!!!

Everything may not have been perfect, but our waitress, Toni, made sure to work it all out for us. Because of quality of service and attention to detail and the delicious steak, we will be back!! Thanks, Toni, you are awesome!!

Great place for a home cooked meal in a hurry. The servers are very attentive and eager to please! Prices are affordable too especially if you join their e-club to get discount coupons!

Super nice for what it is. They bring you complimentary popcorn. Think applebees but nicer. My cod blt or whatever it was called was amazing. And the fried were so wonderful after not having eaten for several hours.

We usually sit at the bar. The bartenders are always friendly and helpful. They recognize the people who have been there before and remember their favorite drinks or recommend something new. We usually see Andrea or Hope. Both are great. We had the Vermont Cheddar burger....it is so good. I get it almost every time. Everyone around the bar has a good time.

It was a good visit this time around. Food was good along withe the service. Only not so good thing was we didn't get any popcorn.....maybe next time. (Not going to drop the stars because of that)
