My child has informed me that she received a strike for not taking part in the school's end of the year events. Personally, students should not get strikes just for not participating in events. There could be cases in which the student cannot find the time to participate. For example, the student's parents might have gotten into an accident. And also, students shouldn't be puking because of lunch. If there is something in the food that caused them to puke, you must check the food. Lastly, students deserve some free time. Yes, if there's students who behave badly, then they should stay inside. It's not fair to let the good students wait for recess, because of teachers or bad behaved students. Principal of Lynne Thigpen, because you are receiving so many bad reviews, it should be obvious that parents do not think that you are making this school a great place for kids to learn. I hope that you will read this review and make your school a better place for kids to learn new things.

This school does nothing in way of controlling the bullying situation or theft problem. I have spoken to both the principal and assistant principal who do nothing but collect a paycheck! My daughter has been grabbed by another adult on school grounds and the situation was swept under the rug. My daughter is constantly having her stuff stolen, despite my calls to the principal and assistant they continue to do nothing about the problem no return phone calls again let's sweep it under the rug because God forbid they attempt to do their job. My daughter along with a group of her friends have been victims of harassment and threats yet they get suspended when they stick up for themselves! !!!! By far this is the most ghetto school I've ever seen, I'm currently looking to send her to a private school. Please please please do not send your kid here.

My daughter has been a student for 3 yrs and every year I tell myself it'll get better but no every year I still end up getting in a field with the school. This year is the 1st year the school decided to throw a father daughter dance the forms for this event were givin out just a week before so the Friday they were due I went to get my daughter up for school to notice she had a fever of 104 so obviously I didn't send her to school that day so come Monday she went to school turned in her participation slip with money then come Tuesday her sub told her that she couldn't go and gave her her things back. So picking up my daughter she was up set so I called the school and they were NOT understanding in any way!! Told me I could've brought the paper in myself like other parents did. I was like really you want me to tKe not 1 but my 3 kids (ages 7,4,1) out in this cold just to drop off a slip hell no I was being a RESPONSIBLE MOTHER and keeping my kids indoors and trying to get them healthy!! Smh they were really RUDE about the whole thing. Also for Halloween they have a small event that we ALWAYS go to with no problem but this year they made it complicated by making you buy a piece of "paper" shaped into pumpkin just to play games... Idk just when it comes to event PTO is involved with is more of a headache.
Car rider system is horrible!! Dismissal is supposed to be at 3:10 they don't get out of school till 3:17 and don't get into car until 3:20-3:30
