We stayed for one night and it was great. This is a converted old 7 or 8 story office building one block from the Mississippi River. Downtown Davenport has been rehabbed and is all by itself worth the visit. Our hotel room on the 5th floor was perfect. The room overlooks downtown and has a decent view of the river. Our room was large and the bed was good. The bath had LOTS of room with both a shower and tub. A TV screen imbedded in the bath mirror was interesting and unusual. The check in and out was excellent and both times the attendants were focused on their customer. Parking is right across the street with easy access to the hotel. We were very pleased with our stay and certainly would recommend this hotel.

Clean and comfortable rooms and restaurant. The upstairs roof top bar is a great place to see downtown Davenport and the river views. ezy parking across the street in a private lot.

Best place to spend New Years! An amazing local experience with a since of out of the abroad feel because it is simply nice. Hallway s are monotone blended then you walk in to the most spacious late modern feels like home...

Beautiful hotel and all nicely done! Extremely friendly staff from the front desk, and the restaurant/bar. Absolutely loved it and will book here anytime in the area.

Beautiful view of the river, bridge and ferris wheel at the ball park. Sunset right over top of all of it. Beds were nice and comfortable. Bathrooms are big and comfy. Cool toilets. Artwork surrounds everything. Big pool and hot tub. Gym was really nice as well. Good food and bar down at the lobby.

I’m not sure the staff everyone else experienced, but we had nothing but great service. The room was roomy and meticulously cleaned. We had a hiccup with room service, but nothing drastic. Would recommend over and over!

Loved the big rooms in this hotel!The bathroom was wonderful. Even a tv in the mirror. And a bidet with a heated toilet seat. Wish the Rooftop Bar had been open.But gives us a reason to come back again!

Friendliest room service! Exhausted from flying and spending the day at Palmer College so slept most of the time. The bread pudding is delicious paired with Sauvignon Blanc. They kindly provided shuttle service back to the airport which we truly appreciated.

This is my hotel of choice when visiting Davenport. It’s business related when I’m in town but if I were to visit for any reason this is the hotel I’d recommend. Not quite sure of the building history but you can tell it’s a historic building.

Tastefully remodeled with ample space for each room design. From the rooftop lounge to the different room configurations, it just feels comforting. I’ve never had less than a warm welcome from everyone at the hotel.

Give this hotel a try. You will not be disappointed.

My go to place when I’m in town.
Very spacious rooms, quiet, friendly and engaging hotel staff. It sets a high bar for other hotels to emulate. Close to restaurants, river walk etc.

Highly recommended. My only wish is to duplicate these same standards and friendly folks to every location I visit.

I've stayed here many times their dog friendly I also have ate at their restaurant on the top floor the Sky Bar that place is amazing The View is awesome I'm glad they could do such a great job and restoring such an old building

Wow! All I can say is thank you! I’m in love with The Current Iowa. The 1st thing I wanted to do is go to the Up Sky Bar. Fay & Sam made me feel like a VIP. Monica gave me a nice warm welcome. Isaac is truly thoughtful and made me feel special by having a welcome back gift left in my apartment suite. By the way my room was PERFECT! Heading over to their sister hotel. Hotel Blackhawk looks just like the pictures you see online! I had to stop by and say hello to one of my favorite front desk people Dana. Hearing that people like Tiffany & Wulette are still there making sure the rooms are perfect! The Brunch didn’t have the Jazz band like before but it didn’t take away from the great food. Prepared by Malcom, OG & David. I’m also impressed by the manager on duty Brenda. Between her, Ruth, & Tommy they made sure I was fully taken care of. As you can see I truly think these hotels are majestic and luxurious. I had to give shout outs to everyone I could remember and my apologies if I forgot a name. The GM Nick is doing something right! Everyone I encountered smiled and seemed to love their job. I would highly recommend staying at both hotels. I will absolutely be back! Loved my stay!

This place is really neat, close to everything. The staff is super friendly, the room was clean and quiet (complete with a creepy camel right when we walked in 🤣). The only downside was how long it took to get breakfast, even though it wasn't busy. However, I would absolutely stay here again.

We love The Current! We had never been to Davenport and I believe without a doubt we stayed at the very best hotel in the city. The rooms were lovely and all of the staff were amazing!

Angie at the front desk was so wonderful! She went above and beyond from the moment we arrived and we were so impressed by her. She is a beautiful person, inside and out and she helped make our trip an unforgettable one. She is an asset to your company and we will never forget her and wish her all the best!

The rooms were great beautiful view comfortable bed service was amazing all the hotel staff miss Madelynat the bar was perfec with her service and fun to be around shandi also was very helpful and made sure my stay was the best it could be Ashley did a wonderful job with the house keeping Megan was very friendly and helpful getting me extra pillows and towels I appreciate all of you guys for making everything as comfortable and nice as possible

Great hotel downtown, be sure to try a bison burger at Me & Billy's just up the street.

Very clean property. Front desk staff was friendly. This was just a quick one-night stay but was upgraded to the one-bedroom suite which was much appreciated. Couple notes however- the nearby train is quite loud and the horn was blown numerous times throughout the night. The hot water took almost 5 minutes to reach our shower and for some reason the a/c blower ran all night regardless of the setting or temperature it was on. Despite these minor issues we liked the property and would stay again if in the area.

I've stayed in another hotel in the area in multiple room types - and it wasn't the worst place in the world. But after staying here, I will not go back to the other hotel if I'm ever in the area again. For a similar (actually a bit cheaper) price, the quality of the rooms, amenities, and service is superior. Staying here has been one of the smaller highlights of being in Davenport long term. My only small critique is the creepy art statue right at the entrance of the room. Its cool for an art display, but a bit uncomfortable to have a dog with human teeth staring at you while you try to sleep....

Great staff experience, in walking range of so much to do. Very clean. parking tip pull up to door and get room key before attempting hotel parking lot (key required) awkward to back out of.
