Whitehall State Park

One of our favs to kayak. We usually go in both ends there really isnt a boat ramp on Pond st. But the boat ramp is nice! This is a big place you can spend all day. Also a great fishing spot! And great sunsets! There is a 6 mile loop all the way around as well and plenty of great places to hang a hammock on the waters edge. @kayakin_wonderland

Whitehall Reservoir is a hidden gem. Beautiful scenery and a great little hiking trail system around it. There is a lack of official trailheads and parking, so it’s not as convenient to get to if you don’t live nearby.

Trail is ~8.5 miles, 19k steps, 3+ hours all the way around the reservoir. Beautiful hike and time well spent. Well defined trail for the majority of the loop. Bring a water bottle and snack.

Such an amazing state park especially during the fall season. Great trail for an easy hike as well as a long trail for a great couple hour adventure! Will definitely come back to enjoy the scenery and the lake as well!!

Spent the day here kayaking. Good parking lot, biat ramp, clear water, wildlife, multiple islands to stop for lunch, sandy areas for swimming, and friendly people. I cant wait to go back.

Family and I visited Whitehall State Park for the very first time today. We were looking for some trails that were not basic but had some active maneuvering. The trails are marked green (more enjoyable for terrain) and yellow (near the water) to help guide you. The entire walk through is roughly 6 miles so prepare yourself for a long afternoon of nature.

The park is well maintained and I look forward to the many more adventures with the wife and my husky boys.

This place is awesome. I been there three times, lots of kayaking. Good place for relaxing. And I fish here I've only got 2lb bass here they say that there are monster bass here I haven't seen one yet but its a guarantee catch. so much fun!

Great soft trail. The terrain changes are enjoyable.

I've hiked the reservoir loop twice now - good trail, good parking.

Beautiful lake, lilies, swans, islands.. an easy boat ramp, trails (we haven't tried those yet), picnic tables.
Can get busy on holiday weekends.

Beautiful lake spot with lots of nature. Peace and tranquility. Great spot for fishing or boating or nature walks. Grew up on this lake!

Great place for a long hike (about seven miles) around the lake. Do it in spring or after the first frost in fall. But not in summer. Lots of mosquitoes in summer. You've been warned.

Nice area for a walk. Also had a boat launch. Trails were kept clean

The gem of the region. Endless trails, boats, beaches. Gorgeous year round. Blissful and beautiful. Dogs love it too!

Gorgeous park with a long winding trail that hugs the reservoir. Beautiful any time of year!

Awesome trails and huge lake for boating & kayaking. Not far from the city but it definitely feels secluded from everything around.

This is a bass fisherman dream-- submerged weeds, lily pads along with standing grass all I was just a beautiful place . It was my first time there so I only had so much luck but I had a great time
