if you live anywhere near King Street and Groton Road in Littleton mass and you are looking to have some great salad. This would be the ideal location to make your own salad precisely the way you would like your salad to be made with the option to choose your own dressing on the side that they provide for free. And a sitting down lounge for you to eat comfortably while you eat. They also have hot food and plenty of desserts near the salad area for you to have while you are done eating. You can have a nice dessert before leaving prices on typical food that you would buy at Market Basket. It’s a little bit more pricey, but more better tasting I know for as an example the milk here taste more sweet than milk at Market Basket. One thing I have noticed coming here the customers are beyond friendly and polite. I have not yet walked out of this food Market put out a smile because they do have such a good work effort that they make their customers laugh before leaving. and if you are a wine drinker, I heard very good review about their wine at this location.

Amazing store. Great customer service. Love the selection at the bakery and the meat department is so on top of the needs for the customer. At checkout you always get that much needed smile and thank you from a small country customer service like you deserve.

Whether it’s picking up bread and milk, an entire basketful or finger sandwiches for a special occasion, Donelan’s always delivers. The meat, fruit and vegetables are always fresh and plentiful while the staff is always friendly and helpful. Donelan’s has always been my go to store since I moved to the area nearly 25 years ago. Thank you for all you do!

This store is value- and customer centered. Example: the frozen veggies include some conventional boxed veggies and many plain-bagged veggies, not so much pushing the higher priced steamer bags, though they have them. Easy checkout with cashier and baggers and usually short lines. A good feature for me: easy parking. Lines are parallel to the store front, so a short few steps to the door. When does this matter: rain, snow, wind, cold, or you're in a hurry. Want personal meat service (like custom cut extra thick steak)? Bert is an expert. Easy to find the Manager if you have questions or comments.

I had never shopped here until this past year. It is clean. It is quiet. The employees are always awesome.

It is pricier in comparison to other stores but they have good sales and the quality is worth it!

Quite honestly, it is worth it to pay a little more and shop in a nice environment with friendly staff as opposed to the madhouse down the street.

Got some take out chicken wings. Done well, tasty. Also 2 bottles of wine from their nice selection. All at a fair price. Try them.

Great local option should you be underwhelmed by Market Basket. Good service staffed by locals. Specials from their meat department are impossible to beat. And you won't be embarrassed to give "grocery store" flowers on Valentine's Day.

Love the old fashioned vibe of this store. All the food is quality from produce to meats. Also a great bakery and pre-made foods.

Donelan's is as nice and pleasant a place to shop for groceries as you'd want. The focus is on a clean, attractive store, full of "all the nicer produce and groceries" with wide aisles, friendly staff, short lines. No gimmicks at the checkout with stamps and givaways, no loss-leader cheap merchandise, but everything you came for. And a great florist, and wine shop.

Fully stocked with what I needed. Clean and neat store, great specials if you want to stock up on canned soups, pastas or tomato sauce. Check out was smooth.

Where on God's green earth are most of these reviewers from? - Mars?? Donelan's is a small, privately-owned company. Last I knew, they had four stores...but that was in the early 1980s, when Victory Markets were still around and Searstown Mall in Leominster was a going concern. Donelan's stores in Littleton and Acton were two of my accounts when I worked in food retail sales. I even dated a gal from the Acton store (Hi, Pam!) and was invited to one of their Christmas parties. A friendlier group of people, you couldn't meet.

I found the Donelan's stores well-run and fairly-priced. No, they didn't have the buying power of a major chain, so their prices were a bit higher. They never claimed to be a Whole Foods-wannabe nor an organic market, so all you yuppies - get over yourselves. If that's what you want, go to Whole Foods. Otherwise, relax and go grocery shopping. Frankly, I found Donelan's stores to be the more pleasant of my accounts and never hesitated to do my weekly shopping there.
