My first thoughts; similar to Chipotle. Clean place. Skeptical of the service from a bunch of high schoolers..
Thoughts during and after ordering; wonderful customer service. They allowed me to sample the sweet pork (which is phenomenal) and made sure I was pleased with my toppings before moving to the next one. It's different from Chipotle. They offer refried beans as an option which I loved and they had dessert options! Costa's food is more flavorful in my opinion. I got the sweet pork nachos and would absolutely come here again.

Chipotle was closed, so I decided to try Costa Vida since it was so close by. I am SO happy i did!! These are some of the best tacos I have ever had (and I've had a lot). Everything is full of flavor, fresh, and hot. The young man that served me was so kind and welcoming, it was refreshing to experience great customer service. The atmosphere of the restaurant is great as well. I will definitely be coming back to try more of what they have to offer!

Had the Baja Bowl with their newer Raspberry Chipotle Chicken protein, and I'm surprised, to be honest. It tastes way better than I was expecting. It's sweet, savory, with a hint of spicy. All around, it is my new favorite protein, and I can't wait to try it in the street tacos!

For those of you who have never been here before, it can be a little overwhelming at first, but once you know what they will be asking, it makes it a lot easier.
So, as an example, you would walk and decide ahead of time what you want, so let's pick a salad, and you can get that in a small or regular, but the regular is really a large in general, anyways they will start by what you want and what size you want it in, then they'll ask if you want rice and beans. (which there is white and fried rice, then pinto, black, or refried beans to choose from) Next, choose a protein flavor that is previously listed at the bottom of the menu.
Now comes the toppings (Note: the more toppings you put on, the more your meal will cost) I like to get guacamole, mango salsa, pico de gallo, cheese, sour cream, and tortilla strips put on my salad. You can also get tomatillo cilantro sauce on top or on the side they have another sauce, but I can't remember it cause it's not nearly as good as the tomatillo cilantro.
You can always tell them you've never been here before, and they will help you out if you are undecided on what to get.

Other than the guacamole being a little too spicy for me (midwestern taste) I absolutely loved the fresh steak salad I got.

Great place with great food. Burrito of the day with soda is 8.99, monster portion. Baja bowl was a smaller portion and a bit on the pricey side . Only negative thing is the queso, very sweet! I love queso but not this way.

There new protein flavor, Raspberry Chipotle Chicken is amazing, I had it on a baja bowl.
It's sweet, savory, and a little spicy all at the same time!
There seating area is very clean and well kept.
The restrooms are very clean as well.

I am excited that this just opened up! I've been to this place in a few different states and in Canada. Every one I have been too had been amazing and this one is no exception. I recommend everyone go here! If your getting anything here it's all great! Even better if you get their sweet pork!

My favorite is the sweet pork salad with tomatillo ranch—it's always satisfying. If I want something more hearty, I go for the enchilada or burrito, also with sweet pork. Give it a try! I like it better than the popular choices like "Chipotle" and "Pancheros."

Fresh fast food at a great price! While ordering inside, you may watch them make their wraps fresh on a big rotating grill! Their kid's meals are an awesome value if you aren't too hungry! I wish there were more locations in MN!

My sister and I came here earlier today. It was our second visit. A girl named Ellie helped us. Talk about being on her game. Excellent customer service and really efficient in the kitchen. She was doing several things at a time and didn't break a sweat. We then tried our food and again it was good! You don't need to order a lot because everything is filling. As we sat there eating we noticed that every single employee was actually working! We told the Manager we were quite impressed with the whole thing. He could not have been nicer. The Owner ended up stopping at our table too. These people actually care that your experience is a good one! I definitely recommend this place!

Costa Vida took on a giant order for 10+ people last minute on July 4th. We called them shortly before dinnertime and they had the food ready within an hour. Customer service was excellent! We will definitely be back to try other meats and dishes!

Love this place. The meat is always freshly cooked and ingredients fresh. So much better than Chipotle. The workers are so nice and friendly too!

This is my go to spot for a quick dinner for the family. Love the grilled chicken burrito with queso and chip!

Great food! I used to be a chipotle only person but this place is much cleaner, the people are nicer, and the food is SUBSTANTIALLY better in terms of taste and freshness.

A great place for fast-casual Mexican. Fortunately, their one location in the Twin Cities is near me, but I wish they had more. Definitely prefer over Chipotle. More menu options and bigger portions for the same price. Service was quick and friendly.

I got the chicken burrito served wet style, and it was fabulous. Could have made 2 meals out of it, but of course, I didn't.

Good staff, Clean restaurant, easy takeway options and tastes good.

If I could give this place 6 stars I would. Hands down my favorite Mexican restaurant with great food options and their unique sweet pork you can never go wrong here. Not to mention I’ve never had any issues with the service here, the last time I visited my server, Jose C. had some great positive energy and was helpful, quick, and efficient. I would recommend everyone who hasn’t been here to give it a try!
