Went on a Sunday for dinner with my husband. The waitress was sweet, and the chef was such a kind woman. The food was amazing, and the portions were very large. I had the galbi and my husband had the fried rice. The plum wine was very good also. Will definitely make the drive again. Highly recommend.

Honestly I really good Korean place to eat at. The food was delicious and the service was good. I'm happy with what I received - not many people in the restaurant (2 families not including myself), ate about 10 minutes after ordering. Thank you for the food!

This place is so yummy! When the chef isn’t busy, she’ll come out and check on guests. She taught me how to eat the dish properly too!

The food was great and lovely. My son and daughter both came here for their Birthday! My daughter became best friends with the owner. She came to the table to help us with our order! We had lots of fun here and this places is a good choice to eat!

This is where to go if you want delicious Bibimbap and excellent service. This is where my daughter always wants to go when she comes home to visit. Yum!

First time here the other day and it was great. Will return more often, now that we know Bonsai is near when we crave Korean food.

Everything came out hot and fresh. Our favorite had to be the Bonsai chicken wings - sweet and savory sauce tossed with the crunchy chicken - to die for!

The dolsolt bibimbap with beef was great - I would have liked to have more zucchini and shiitake mushrooms than the carrots. Overall, still good.

My favorite side dish is the fish cake - asked for another small serving of it and they refilled. I can just eat this with rice!

Service was great from the two women the night we came - it was empty when we arrived at 7ish, but obviously became busy when we finished our meal with people coming in to get seated and orders being picked up by door dashers - you know this spot is popular right before closing!

So glad we found this spot. Thank you!

Such friendly hosts! I was trying Korean food for the first time. We order two apps and entrees and everything was absolutely amazing. Our host showed us the traditional way to eat per Korean custom. Such an awesome experience and friendly hosts!!! Highly recommend giving the a try!

This was my first time having Korean food. I loved it. I was traveling for work by myself, and Nicole was very sweet and wanted to make sure I enjoyed the experience! I had the 'Dolsot Bimimbop' with shrimp and my egg sunny side up. It came out sizzling 🤤 Nicole also brought out a little appetizer board. There was kimchi and 2 other items that were delicious. The atmosphere here is very nice and calming, and also nice to admire! I highly recommend you try Bonsai; I will definitely return here.

We discovered there was a Korean restaurant we hadn’t visited yet and were delighted by what felt like grandma’s cooking. We met the owner (Korean) and loved the simple decor (and quiet). The kimchi was refreshing, water was filtered/clean, and service was attentive! We had the mung bean pancake with shrimp and a regular bibimbop. The veggies were marinated perfectly. Not too spicy or too sugary! YUM.

I have been to every Korean Restaurant in the Twin Cities and this is my absolute favorite. Homemade Kimchi is delicious! I try and go here at least once a month. Highly recommend!

The most authentic Korean cuisine I've had in the U.S. Everything was prepared perfectly and tasted fantastic. I'd highly recommend Bonsai to anyone looking for wonderful Korean food.

We are not new to Korean cuisine.
Nicole makes everything from scratch, including the bibimbop, small batch kimchi & marinades. Her Galbi (short ribs) & Kimchi are the best in the TC. It was a pleasure to be served by & talk with her sister Jia from Virginia.

We wanted to try another Korean place and this one was a big surprise. The food and flavors are so so so much better than the overpriced all-you-can-eat place we went to before. More affordable, with larger portions that you can take home if you don't finish.

Yukgaejang level 3 spicy:)

This place is a hidden gem! Delicious food and such a courteous staff. The dumplings are delicious, and this Korean ramen is a satisfying amount of flavor and spice. I enjoyed every bite and definitely want to order takeout here again.

Great custom service!! Not spicy bulgogi, I’d say more sweet. The steamed dumplings were really good.

Food was hot and ready for takeout at the time promised. The Jeyuk Bokkeum with sautéed pork and vegetables was amazingly good. But be sure to specify the "hotness" level from 1 to 5, as it has spicy Korean red chili sauce. The food was packaged in tight plastic containers so no mess in the takeout bag. We were told that the containers are microwavable which is good for the leftovers. I highly recommend Bonsai Korean Cuisine.

My dining out place on a regular basis. High quality cuisine, friendly service, clean and comfortable ambience. I also enjoy the after meal shopping trip to the Lakewinds co-op next door. Love this restaurant!
