Excellent coffee and food! They roast their own stuff but more than anything they are an organization with a vision and mission to help others so not only do you get to enjoy great coffee but you support local and your community at the same time.

Very nice place atmosphere very welcoming. Service was also good. Food prices and taste were good.

Just came here, and this place is so adorable. To start the staff working here are diverse, which is something I can appreciate. The establishment is very clean and spacious, and the staff working are super friendly ❤ My best friend an I came here in a whim just searching to local coffee spots and this one had a 4.8 star rating. I got the Iced Turtle Latte, which tasted yummy no sugar or cream needed. It's a little thicker due to the chocolate and caramel but I enjoyed it very much. On the other side they have a good size seating area with a couch lounge area and a place to play chess/checkers. Overall, nice experience and I hope to visit again soon. The parking is Street parking from what I could see.

One of my go to places! New City roasts their own coffee beans but more than that, the heart behind this little cafe is priceless! It is an organization established to help others within the community so every purchase you make goes back into supporting the local community -- what's not to love! The food is delicious and all of the prices are reasonable and honestly cheaper than most coffee shops without compromising on quality! Plenty of seating and they really go the extra mile to accommodate customer needs and preferences! Can't say enough good things about this spot!

Such a great little place! I had an amazing gingerbread latte (better than the one Starbucks used to have!) and my husband had a hazelnut latte. The staff were so friendly and helpful with their recommendations. Will definitely come again!

Vermont sandwich thee bomb… took my kids here with me and this was our first experience. 1st one hit the mark. 5 across the board. Customer service and atmosphere easy and laid back.

The pumpkin spice coffee was so good along with the breakfast bagel sandwich, it had so much yummy cheese on it and was melted just right! The pastries were fresh and delicious. Great selection, super friendly staff, atmosphere and prices! We’ll definitely be back!

I first visited in 2018 and I can for sure say that these folks are committed to excellence. It’s a coffee shop that serves the community. The coffee is great! They even partnered with a local Black Owned Coffee Roaster “Bold & Gritty”. They have good food options and in my humble opinion they’ve got the best vegan breakfast sandwich in Rochester, NY! They also have a wide variety of coffee beans as well as good selection of Kombucha.

Such an amazing spot, I love coming here! Everyone is so nice and their products are superb. Not only is this helping to revitalize the neighborhood but it always brightens up my day to come in. And they allow me to bring my pups in which makes it that much easier to stop and grab coffee when I'm running errands with them!

This is a hidden gem! Perfect shop to hang with friends or get some work done. Their Guatemala blend is absolutely delicious and so easy to drink black. Lots of tea and beverage options for kids and anyone not crazy about coffee too. Great, stylish, bright layout, clean restroom, awesome food with plenty of tasteful vegetarian and vegan options provided by the Red Fern, another Rochester gem. I don't think you can ask for more!

Omg I just had their breakfast sandwich, The Grand….. it’s the best, a must try. It’s sausage egg and cheese on a biscuit with spicy mayo. Don’t sleep on this place

Coffee here is amazing! Staff is incredibly nice and the prices are really reasonable for the excellent quality. Don’t miss out on the baked goods by Tamaria Bee when they’re in stock. So good!

Amazing coffee. For the quality of coffee you would expect to pay at least double. The atmosphere is great. Several different tables and couch combos. Super chill and relaxing. And if you go on a Tuesday morning from 7:30a till like 9:30a you can be apart of an amazing little rei group.

Lovely, helpful folks behind the counter and some high quality drip brew for just a buck! The doughnut I had along with my coffee was fresh and just what I needed for a little mid day pick me up. They also do a frequent visitor punch card for a free coffee. I will definitely be heading back to New City Cafe real soon!

Really really love this place. Amazing breakfast sandwiches and great coffee.

We walked in at ten after three and they were incredibly accommodating and kind. The cashier with red hair was so sweet and great at making the customer feel welcomed, she also offered recommendations without pushing, and offered different options when they were out of something in particular. The cook brought the sandwiches out himself and was incredibly kind.
Great vibes in this places and will 100% recommend this place to anyone.
