Stacks Espresso Bar

Does Stacks Espresso Bar stack up? That is the question on my mind this morning as I try a large cup of their Ethiopian blend. I have it black with no sugar. The roast promises juicy hints of plum and raspberry, and while it doesn't quite hit the juicy mark, it definitely gets points for being fruity-delicious... The reason why it doesn't hit the juicy sweet spot is that I'm not desiring more.... Thumbs up for the semisweet aftertaste!

UPDATE: I've returned to Stacks Espresso Bar twice since my first visit on Sunday. I've since tried their cortado, espresso with an equal amount of milk to reduce acidity, and a large cup of their house blend drip coffee, black, no sugar. The cortado was on point, it was only my second time having one. It was very mellow and flavorful. The house blend is my new favorite, right here in downtown Troy, a 15 minute walk from my place. The blend is nutty and smooth, as advertised, and has a slow-sip-worthy bittersweet aftertaste, which I love...

The service was amazing! And the coffee was EVEN BETTER! The shop was calm and neat and the staff were wonderful! 10/10 would go back again!

When you walk in it is nice and bright, well defined spaces. The beverages and food were delicious. I had a special peach cobbler latte and a salad with brisket and peaches. Great addition to downtown Troy!

Great prices. Bagel slaps and reminds me of my Manhattan days. Dog friendly! Definitely good passive human social exposure for behaved pups.

Great chai tea! Love that they have gluten free options for breakfast sandwiches and such. The sweet potato “bread” was great for my egg sandwich!

Bright and welcoming. Been there twice and got the "Babbette" sandwich both times. Brisket with "stewed" peaches on it,served on a baggett.perfect size.i don't enjoy oversized sandwiches. I only wish they were open until 4 pm

There are alot of fantastic coffee shops in troy, this is one of them for sure. Everything is great, food is great and the beverages are too. I love the atmospheric and there is alot of space.

Absolutely loved it! Super chill environment could hang for hours alone or with a group. Ample seating and relaxed space.

A few food steps in you find a bright open inviting space. The menu tempts you with tasty foods and coffee. A cute dog gives you puppy eyes. The staff is super friendly, it’s like you’ve come home to chill with your favorite roommates. The food is nice and the cortado and latte are excellent.

First visit today. Hayden very inviting and courteous. Interior well thought out and spacious. Food delicious and well packaged for to-go order. Will be back, for sure!

Best coffee in the capital region. Also got their coffee for wedding favors at my wedding which came out awesome. Highly recommend best coffee shop in Troy and in upstate NY.

Love the vibe, its quaint, the staff is always friendly, at all the locations. Im usually in first thing in the morning to grab my coffee before work. The Greg sandwich is also my go-to breakfast sammy.
