This was my husband and I first time eating dinner here. The atmosphere was nice and calm. Oh server Jennette was great and super helpful. I definitely recommend the steak. I would definitely come back again.

The service was very timely and friendly. The beef tenderloin was perfectly cooked to my liking. Overall a very nice and upscale American restaurant for Easter supper with friends and family

I took my husband to dinner here for his birthday, everything was sooooo good! Our server was attentive, the food was great, the manager was phenomenal, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I highly recommend the sirloin with garlic mashed, the duck poutine, and the chocolate flourless tort 😍 this was our first time there, we will definitely be going back!

My family and I made reservations for a dinner right after Christmas, knowing it could be a tough night to go out. The owner sat us early and the service was fantastic! The menu was unique and had things that aren’t easy to come by in Syracuse. The specials are the way to go for sure! The owner was very attentive and accommodating and it’s definitely a place worth going back to!

The owner was on site seating tables and checking in with guests. He was very pleasant and accommodating. Highly recommend the duck tacos and the house flatbread appetizer...the lemon zest with the truffle oil and mushrooms was a very a welcome twist from a standard flatbread. The prices were fair and the portions were generous. There is only beer or wine available so do not expect to be a able to get a cocktail with your meal. However, they have a fairly large wine list so there's plenty to choose from.

This place is where it’s at! Yesterday my mom and I had the pleasure of dining at 317 and we were not disappointed. Our waitress, Sarah, was incredible. Her knowledge and suggestions were amazing while her hospitality was unbeatable. We started off with a speciality house salad and a Caesar salad. We both loved our salads and the house made apple cider vinegar honey vinaigrette. For appetizers, we shared the seared scallops and the duck confit poutine. The seared scallops were done beautifully and were delicious with their caper honey sauce and chopped dill. The poutine is absolutely to die for. Crispy fries, a delectable demi-glacé with whole springs of rosemary, creamy cheese curds, and lovely shredded duck confit. Whether you’re stopping in at the bar or coming in for a dinner reservation, you can’t go wrong with the poutine. The star of our night was the short rib and mushroom risotto. The short rib was beautifully seared and so tender that a spoon could cut it. The mushroom risotto was delicious with the slices of mushroom, grated cheese, and a touch of wine. The risotto itself was cooked perfectly, not starchy or undercooked. Our night didn’t end there however. We took the carrot cake and the flourless chocolate torte to go and enjoyed the desserts when we arrived home. The cream cheese frosting of the carrot cake was tasty and the flourless chocolate torte was the perfect balance and portion of airy whipped cream and fluffy chocolate torte with a little caramel on the side. This meal was probably the best meal that we have enjoyed since before covid. We will most definitely be back to try more of the menu. The atmosphere, food, and hospitality blew us completely out of the water. Thank you for such an incredible experience.

Excellent good, the staff was great. The owner comes around and talks to you, and he even took our order. The dessert was soooo delicious, im still thinking about it months later.

Small, welcoming, upscale spot owned by native local couple. Great vibes, good food, what more do ya need. They went the extra mile to accommodate a large party that we had.

Loved this place! The service, food, and atmosphere were all wonderful. Nice wine selection and an amazing filet. They have a limited menu but you know that what you’re getting was prepared fresh. Fried green tomatoes were awesome.

What a gem of a place! 317 @ Montgomery will not disappoint. The ambiance is beautiful. The service is great. The food was fantastic. Joel was lovely and kind. 10/10 would recommend.

Just walking into 317 Montgomery you knew you were in for a treat. The atmosphere,the friendly staff. The food was excellent, a very good choice . A nice place to take someone special.

We are here during Restaurant Week and are happy that we did! Great service, delicious food, and great atmosphere. Strongly recommend.

My wife and I were very happy with everything overall. The Bao bun was an explosion of flavors in the mouth.

Wonderful atmosphere. Great service. A laid back approach to a 5 star restaurant. Phenomenal dishes. The food is flavorful, you savor each bite. The aromas are exquisite. Plated nicely. A hidden gem in downtown Syracuse.

The classic caesar salad was crisp, fresh, and one of the finest dressings I have had the pleasure of tasting.

The duck confit pountin was a dish that reminded me of a mixture of brew house appetizer and 5 star duck. Wonderful flavor!

Filet mignon was seared perfectly. Melted in your mouth and was plated with beautiful purple fingerling potatoes on the side with asparagus on top.

The short rib mushroom risotto was a blessing of a comfort food on the chilly night we spent there. Risotto was cooked to perfection, the short ribs were delectable, and the combination of flavors pristine.

And if you’re lucky enough to save room for dessert, the cheesecake with caramel drizzle was melt away in your mouth perfection.

The only downside was the frigid indoor temperature downstairs on an already freezing evening.

All around a wonderful place and I still am giving 5 stars despite my hatred of being chilled.

My very first visit, super great. First we found parking on the same street. It's not congested like armory square. Then we walk in. It's very cozy, warm atmosphere, and the lighting perfect. It's was not to dark that I had to ask my daughter to read the menu. And not to bright that everyone can see your business. Then man that greeted us at the door, let us know about the fish market. That rolled right off of his tongue and I bought that. We had a lot of food and it was all superb. YOU CAN TELL THE STAFF IS PASSIONATE ABOUT THEIR BUSINESS. I've made reservations for next week. GREAT PLACE OVERALL. MY NEW BEST PLACE

Delicious meal once again. House salad, shrimp scampi Flatbread, and rhe sous vide roast beef sandwich. Melt in your mouth.

Food was delicious but slightly too salty for my personal taste. The service was amazing and the whole restaurant had a lovely atmosphere. my wife and I had a lovely evening.

Was a beautiful Valentine’s Day Dinner. Easiest one of my favorite places I’ve had the pleasure of eating at. Great service and good food!

A hidden gem. The atmosphere is perfect. Light jazz playing in the background at a level that allows conversation with out having to talk over the music. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. The food is always great.

Pleasantly surprised at how good this place is! The ambience was very nice. We sat in the basement dining area which had a very nice aesthetic, calming mood lighting and a higher end feel to it. The good though, the food took the cake! I had the pork shank which just melted off the bone, absolutely decadent! The staff was incredible, very attentive. The owner even visited our table which was a very nice touch. If you're looking for a nice date idea this should be your choice. 5 stars
