Had a graduation get together with a number of families from my son’s graduation class and the back private room could not have been a better atmosphere. Maria and her family run a great and professional establishment with really good food and excellent service. Did I mention the food, full bar and delightful service? I would do it again if I had another child at SU!

I wish I could give this place infinite stars!! I have been here a handful of times now and I just can’t say enough!! First of all… the bartender that my girlfriend and I most recently had was phenomenal!! He totally put up with my weird requests, had great energy and even better entertaining banter!! The PIZZA and the BURGER were out of this WORLD!! It’s one of those places that you literally just canNOT stop thinking about going back to… for all the reasons!! #killin’it!

Hosted a Retirement Party here for my Husband. I was floored!! Maria and her staff are hands down amazing!! They were super attentive and made sure everyone was happy. I have hosted hundreds of events at venues all over NY, working with this team was the best experience!!

Maria just hosted our rehearsal dinner 7/15/22 and it was WONDERFUL. The food was amazing, staff was engaged, music playlist and ambiance were great. Maria thought of everything, decorating the blackboard with our names. My MIL requested dessert options about a week before the event and Maria took care of supplying a variety. I can’t say enough great things!! I just wish I had thought to take pictures of the food to share here.

Maxwells is the perfect place for a night out with friends and family or a special event ! Maxwells hosted our engagement party and made our night so perfect , from amazing service and planning with Maria - to amazing food and bar service . They were so accommodating and made planning so easy! We loved every minute of our special event .

Hosted a professional Networking Part here for a local group. Maria and her staff were wonderful, they made everything so easy. The private event space is so spacious with a mix of high tops and tables. Food was wonderful and everything was seamless. We can't wait for next year to have our event here again!

Well if you want to have a truly amazing, comfortable, inviting, delicious brunch for your daughter’s bridal shower…….pick Maxwells. Marie addressed ever single one of our requests with pleasure and complete professionalism. She was attentive the minute we walked in and atmosphere was just lovely. The event area was clean, beautifully decorated an smelled impeccably clean. And then there’s Gabby. What a doll. She and Marie single handedly managed the shower with ease and perfection. Marie is a lovely, kind, compassionate, artistic woman who clearly knows her craft. The food was the best! The perfect mixture of breakfast and lunch. Outstanding!!!!! Most of all our daughter and her fiancé’ were so happy with the entire event. So stop in, talk to Marie, book an event and you won’t be disappointed. Even the pouring rain didn’t put a damper on the day, And, Marie even gave my husband an umbrella! Thank you Marie and staff. We will remember the day with a happy heart! 💜Darlene Strodel

Our annual Christmas party was held here this year and omg did they pull out the stops! Especially because I have a soy allergy and they were SOOO accommodating. I basically got my entire own home made menus made with all avocado oil and soy free ingredients. HIGHLY recommend!!

We had our work Christmas party at Maxwells and it was great! The food was good and refreshed through out the party and we had a great bartender! I absolutely recommend this restaurant for parties and events.

Great bar in downtown Syracuse. They have trivia night on Thursdays which is always fun and their dinner options are solid (one of the best cheese pizzas around). I’d recommend mixed drinks or bottles over beer on tap as the taps sometimes feel a little off on my favorites. That might be my taste though. Definitely 5 stars.

Held our daughter's baby shower at Maxwell's today and it was excellent from start to finish. Working with Maria ahead of time was a huge help, Pete did a great job with the food and the management on the day of was outstanding. Most impressive was the incredible hard work by Gabby setting up, serving during, and cleaning up after - an incredible hard worker which is so hard to find! Great work ethic!

Atmosphere was great - but the people were the best to work with. Recommend it highly for your event!! Thanks for a great day!

I've attended a few work functions here over the years. Maxwells never disappoints. The food is great and the staff is awesome. I highly recommend Maxwells.

Maxwells hosted our corporate party last week and we could NOT be happier with how it all turned out. The planning process with Maria, day pf event set-up help, food, staff, everything was 10/10. Our whole company had so much fun and really enjoyed having the party in this great space and taking advantage of the outdoor patio. Thank you to the whole Maxwell's team :) We will be back!!!

I had my bridal shower at Maxwells private event space and it was better than I could’ve imagined. Maria and the team were so kind and they made sure everything went smoothly. We had a brunch bridal shower and the food was absolutely amazing. I now recommend maxwells to everyone looking for a place for a private event!!

I had my mom’s 50th birthday party and I was amazed! The food was excellent, the staff was so friendly and accommodating, the space and room we were in was beautiful and clean! Our guests had such a great time and kept saying how nice the restaurant was. Thank you so much, Maxwells! We will be back for sure for our next family party!

Maxwells has that “hometown” pub feel in the oldest section of Syracuse. Matt the chef is creative and talented making everything from homemade gnocchi to balsamic reduction vinaigrette covered beef over greens. There is a full pub menu with perfectly cooked wood fired pizzas. The bar staff is friendly and accommodating. Maxwells plays host to a variety of entertainment from Trivia and Latin nights to live music. Check out their event room for personal parties and meetings.

WOW, another fantastic party at Maxwells. We had my wife's surprise birthday party there Friday evening (9/16/22). The food was excellent as always and the atmosphere is second to none. Maria, the Event Coordinator is just awesome to deal with and her brother Pete, the owner and chef worked hard to make sure everything was perfect. Every person is attendance commented on how great the food was and what a great place it is for a party. This is the 2nd party they hosted for us and we have recommended them to several other people who also had parties there. I highly recommend Maxwells to anyone looking to book a party. They always go above and beyond for their customers. You won't be disappointed.

I hosted my husband’s surprise 30th birthday at Maxwells this weekend and it truly was an amazing experience. I have been to a handful of events at Maxwells and have always had the best experience, so I was confident that would continue to be the case. From the start of planning with Maria, her attention to detail and responsiveness was great! She was accommodating and always answered any questions to help ensure this event was exactly what I wanted. The night of Maria and her staff were so attentive and excellent. The food was AMAZING, the service was top notch and the event space is beautiful. My husband was surprised and had the best time celebrating with a large thanks to Maria and her staff! I highly encourage you to host any and all of your events at Maxwells!

Had an amazing time we had at my friends birthday. The food was delicious!! staff were so great and attentive. We all talked about how enjoyable it was and what an awesome venue it is. Can’t wait for things to go back to “normal” to have more events. Also, would go here on Monday nights with a crew of friends. The outdoor seating, atmosphere and food are great! Highly recommend.

I was on the event side for a special whatever. I don't think I had to wait more than 60 seconds for a drink order, and the food was outstanding.

It was a bit cramped with how many people we had (maybe 50).
