Pavone's Pizza - Syracuse, NY

This place was highly recommended by many people and so we came to try it. The 5 stars is for the pizza. We had a small sausage and pepperoni and our kids had a small cheese Very good,very reasonably priced. the owner was very nice, he knows what he’s doing and is from the same State as me which was cool to learn. I was a little uncomfortable with being stared at and whispers from the workers it’s a little rude. We are first time visitors of NewYork period and we were traveling with our kids (5 kids) and it was just a little uncomfortable. Yes we have a large family we aren’t the first. My order came up differently priced than it should’ve because someone tipped theirselves. Pizza was great and of course I was going to tip but it would’ve been nice if I could’ve chose to tip and what to tip. Food wise everything was awesome. Would order again but probably just delivery.

I’ve been meaning to write a review for a while. My husband and I live around the block and Pavone’s is our go to for pizza. It never disappoints, and service is great! We have tried a few of their pizzas - all amazing - but we particularly love their sausage pizza with meat sauce for dipping!

Side note: sometimes they sell out on Friday evenings, so we started ordering on Thursday for a Friday pickup.

Decided to stop here for dinner after enjoying lights on the lake - when first walking in they seemed not busy, nice & very professional.
Was expecting their small pizzas to be smaller, so when I seen the size I was for sure happy with the money I had spent & when I tasted the food as well nothing different could be said.
My mom used to love pavones in destiny mall back 25+ years ago when she would go with my grandmother, & hasn’t been since they moved out of the mall. Meant a lot to be able to enjoy it with my mom too😊😊

Just finished a very tasty lunch for less than $5; it's the closest I've had to New York (City) style pizza outside the 5 borroughs, and the garlic knots were better than any I've had even in the city.

Haven't been there in quite some time. Went tonight. Pizza was as good if not better than I remembered it.

The pizza from here is outstanding! Folds perfectly like a slice of New York pizza should, but also has just a little bit more cheese than typical that makes it that much better.

I stop for Pavones pizza every time I go to Syracuse if I can and REFUSE to eat anywhere else if I want pizza. I love this location and the random chit chat. Greasy, crisp, tasty everything in one.

While visiting for the holidays we had the good fortune to discover this great little gem! We had their super delicious hot sausage sub with marinara sauce that is big enough for two! Well done guys! And thanks for the abundant friendliness and hospitality!

Authentic and Unforgettable Pizza Experience at Pavone's in Syracuse, NY!

During my visit to the SUNYCUAD conference in Syracuse, NY, I had the pleasure of stumbling upon Pavone's pizza, and I must say it was an absolute gem! This place surpassed any pizza I regularly enjoy in Manhattan, and reminded me of the authentic and classic recipes and quality ingredients reminiscent of Little Italy in NYC.

The moment I walked into Pavone's, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The scent of freshly baked pizza wafted through the air, instantly igniting my taste buds. The staff was friendly, efficient, and clearly passionate about their craft. They made me feel right at home, making it the perfect spot for a quick bite during the conference.

Now, let's talk about the pizza itself. Oh my goodness, it was a slice of heaven! The flavors, the textures, and the overall taste were exceptional. Each bite transported me back to the authentic pizzerias in NYC’s Little Italy, where quality ingredients and time-honored recipes make all the difference. The crust had the perfect balance of chewiness and crispness, and the toppings were fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned.

What truly made my experience at Pavone's memorable was the exceptional hospitality of the owner. Despite being a devoted Yankees fan, he showed incredible kindness and understanding when he noticed I was wearing a Boston Aquarium shirt. He recognized that my love for penguins and dolphins transcended sports rivalries, and he graciously welcomed me with open arms. The level of humor, professionalism and customer service goes above and beyond, and it left a lasting impression on me.

I cannot recommend Pavone's enough to anyone visiting or residing in Syracuse, NY. It's a hidden gem that captures the essence of classic Italian pizza. The combination of authentic flavors, friendly service, and an owner who goes the extra mile to make you feel welcome is what sets Pavone's apart.

Great pizza, cooked perfectly!! Actually, we made 3 trips there in one day. Granddaughter ate 2 big slices and she's only 4! Highly reconnend.

Best pizza ever this is hands down better than pizza hut, papa johns and dominos put together.. This is fresh meat and vegetables... Exceptional customer service and huge huge slices of pizza!! Great place and the slices ate like 2.50 a pop soo good!!!!

This place is amazing! The pizza is delicious and the meatballs are to die for! The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful! I am a fan! Wish we had this place back home! Go get some pizza and meatballs from them, you won’t regret it.

Closes thing your going to get to real New York style pizza better than Gino@Joes and better than Paldino's. I rememberas a kid going to Pavones in Penn Can mall having slice of pizza also remember having pizza from Pavones and Shopping Town mall. Had it from every location always excellent hot wings were also good. Only 4 locations left so don't have it allot. Wish owners would build 1 in Cicero or North Syracuse I would buy there pizza I miss them being in Penn Can mall hopefully someday build 1 in Cicero or North Syracuse think they do excellent there give other pizza shops a run for there money.

Great pizza but the guys who work there can be rude or nice depending on how there day is going.
