I love coming here since the new owners bought it. I had stopped going because the other owner was quite rude! But I had to go in the one day and found out they bought it and it’s the best they redid behind the counter and a bunch of other stuff too. I highly recommend stopping there every time u pass u won’t be sorry their super nice also makes u feel welcomed and not like a burden!!!!

I feel bad for the old owners, they were very nice people. We started getting sandwiches again last month and wow! They are amazing. So happy to have an awesome place to get food when not wanting to cook.

Haven't patronized this business in nearly 5 years due to the previous owner and poor quality of food. Today I decided to give new owner a chance. Was pleasantly surprised with bright and spacious interior...very clean. Friendly owner made me a delicious sandwich. Will definitely return in the future

Such a cute store with a wide range of products (homewares, travel items, etc.) as well as groceries and nostalgic candy options. Their sandwiches are EXCELLENT and every sandwich is made-to-order. Will definitely stop here again for a sub if I’m in the area.

Rocky Hill Country Store is a Gem of Americana; a Real Diamond in a Rhinestone World.
That little wooden sign nailed on a pole gave this this hungry camper something to look forward to while taking the scenic route from Vermont to Connecticut. The store and the people that I met inside gave me a memory to look back on, and share.
For the past six months, i've been trying to remember what was on the sandwich that I got that day.  I just figured out that I could search my locations on Google Maps, and that sandwich was the first thing I looked for.
I found the name of the store, sent a Facebook message, and was welcomed by the same genuine kindness that I experienced six months ago, in person.
When I saw that sign on the pole, that day,  I figured that if this place was still in business all the way out here, it must be good.   When I pulled up (with plenty of room for my truck and travel trailer) I thought that maybe it was a place where other businesses had gone to die in the past.  But NOT this one!
The moment I stepped inside I was teleported back to my childhood.  Floors that have seen the soles of hard working boots for generations.  Shelves filled with wax coke bottle candy just waiting to get the colored syrup sucked out of them, the blue, yellow, and red suckers shaped like a rocket with a wax ring on the bottom so your colored slobber doesn't drip down to your hands while sharpening that point by rolling it accross your tongue, and the Violet Mints that taste like Mr Bubble Bubble Bath. (Who knew that the taste of bubble bath would be so refreshing as an adult? I remember swallowing plenty of it as I screamed when my mom rinsed my hair in the bathtub.  I was a brat!)  Maybe you can tell I was a chubby kid, too...lol!  There was just so much nostalgia that it overwhelmed my senses for over 40 minutes (according to Google maps) AND there was  everything that you need to whip up a dinner on the fly or to stock up for a winter storm.  They really thought of everything their community needed!
I was so jealous of the kids with dirt in the creases of their 'elbow pits' sharing a coke and kicking rocks outside the store as I left that day.
I really didn't see much of a town around, but plenty of people stopped in.  I hope that every person who passes by realizes that Rocky Hill Country Store is a piece of Americana on the side of the road that really must be preserved.  It is culture

Fantastic, amazingly delicious sandwich and salad today for lunch....highly recommend! Also great country style store with old fashioned bulk candy, maple products, cider and knick knacks and toys for kids!

A surprisingly good find that was out of the way. Sandwiches were good and drinks were inexpensive and tasty. I will definitely be returning.

We ordered subs and wraps for 25+ people w/delivery for a friends and family gathering we were having in Stephentown and they did an amazing job with the food.
