This is our favorite restaurant in Rochester. We’ve never had a bad meal here. The food is interesting and delicious. The bartenders make great cocktails and offer great suggestions or come up with something off menu for you based on your preferences. The staff is just phenomenal - kind and courteous and make you feel like they’re genuinely happy you’re there. Redd is the restaurant we measure all others against.

Small menu as you'd expect when fine dining. Delicious at all courses. Lobster risotto was fantastic, light and creamy with a perfect of hint of lemon. Scallops for dinner were also top notch, seasoned perfectly with a unique accompaniment of cauliflower, almond, gold grape, capers, and some puree and vinaigrette. Wow. Wife really enjoyed gnocchi. Wish they offered a ceaser salad and more beer options. Staff were great. Plenty of parking for this type of downtown location. Can be loud inside. Will be back.

I dined here back in November 2023 with my friends and family. I ordered the special Wild Bay Scallop Ceviche and the Red Chicken Curry. My meal was incredible . Flavors were well balanced. We received exceptional service from the staff here at Redd. Thank you again for everything!

The minimal descriptions on the menu belie the amazing quality of the dishes. The wings were perfect in every way, from texture to taste to presentation. The rigatoni were perfectly tender and felt as if they were handmade, and the bolognese sauce was a deeply satisfying winter warmer. Bouillabaisse has never been something that I thought much of but I truly enjoyed it for the first time here when my partner ordered it. Highly recommend the cheesecake cloud, it’s a beautiful interplay of textures.

Atmosphere is relaxed and elegant with tasteful holiday-themed jazz (we dined on December 15th).

The service was generally excellent, and I appreciated the thoughtful touches like the napkin folding and the moist towelettes for the wings. However, we did wait surprisingly long to receive our check and to also have the card run.

Overall it was a 9/10 experience. Nothing beats the service at REDD! The atmosphere is great and the food is great. The only thing I ever have a gripe with is; my food is always luke warm when I receive it. I like my food very hot!
You rarely find a gem where they match service and food. Front of the house staff members are always attentive! Keep going everyone! 💚💚

We made a reservation for an anniversary dinner. The host at the door greeted and congratulated us on the occasion. Both the indoor and outdoor spaces were spacious and beautiful, and you can see the kitchen from the dining area. All of the dishes were a delight. Well balanced ingredients and perfectly executed. An extensive wine list to accompany a widely creative menu. I appreciate that every detail in design and furnishing is well thought out. The wait staff were attentive and gave good recommendations on menu items as well. Will definitely return on our next special occasion.

Went here for a birthday dinner of two. We got the glazed pork belly, lobster risotto, steak, caramelized scallops, and spicy margaritas.

The whole meal was amazing front to back.

Our apps that we ordered: Pork Belly and Redd Wings were amazing and flavorful. The pork belly was complex and delicious.

The cocktails were fantastic, easily one of the best bourbon cocktails I have ever had (How to disappear completely was it’s name) and had very cool presentation with it. Waitress was extremely knowledgeable on the wines and recommendations were perfect.

The main course was amazing with the Ciopinni and the bee sting pizza. The tomato broth was perfect and had a great seafood taste for the ciopinni. Pizza was fantastic New York style pizza that was a bit of elevated.

Finishing dinner with the “Cookies and Cream” trifle and a cappuccino was the perfect ending. The dessert was great with both texture and flavor. They even brought it out with a candle for my Girlfriend’s birthday which we were celebrating.

Finally the staff were great, everyone was very polite and attentive. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and checked on us frequently.

Would strongly recommend Redd’s to anyone looking to have an elevated and upscale meal. Make sure to get a reservation.

Beautiful restaurant, we had no reservation and were lucky enough to get a seat at the bar. We tried multiples starters and the food was delicious.

We have a new favorite restaurant in Rochester! Our entire experience was outstanding from a prompt friendly greeting on arrival to a couple of well crafted cocktails at the bar. The look is contemporary with a hint of industrial and some milk glass art deco. The light was cozy and warm on a cold winter night. Seating was comfortable and the service was 5-stars the entire evening. We tried a couple appetizers of the gnocchi and also the smoked trout. Outstanding! For dinner we had the caramelized scallops and the halibut. Wow! By far one of the best meals we’ve had in a while and you definitely get what you pay for. Save your pennies and try Redd’s. We both highly recommend it.

Great food, nice staff, great ambiance. Only downside was a little slow, however it was fairly busy for a Monday.

Super nice staff. I almost forgot my pizza that they had packed for me, a gentleman ran out to give it to me as I was leaving. The waitress we had was extremely sweet and energetic! Food was super delicious! It was a tad expensive but definitely worth it for a special occasion!

An amazing spot for a special night out. Food and specials were really delicious and the service was fast and welcoming. Cocktails were served almost immediately after ordering them and the rest of the plates came out at a nice pace so you could enjoy appetizers ahead of entrees. Will always have Redd at the top of the list for special occasions.

I’ve been to Redd for drinks and apps at the bar but tonight was the first time having a full meal and I have to say that it was incredible. I was a little concerned about the service from other reviews but what we found was that the service allowed for a relaxing and enjoyable meal without feeling rushed or hurried out the door…and maybe that’s the point. Our family talked and slowly savored and shared each plate…it was an experience. Food was outstanding including the gnocchi, oysters, risotto, bourguignon, fluke and pizza. One minor issue was that the reds by the glass didn’t offer a deep bold choice for my husband. Our family can’t wait to return. Five stars all around

Delicious food! Every plate was fantastic. We did wait a long time for drinks and the food to come out, but it was really amazing when it did. We ordered a little bit of everything and passed it around the whole table. We reordered the tuna and the scallops.

Wow. One of the best dining experiences in Rochester. From the drinks to the dessert we were in awe. Highlights were the lobster risotto and the brownie dessert. Throw in some top notch service from Scott and we had a wonderful night. Thanks Redd!

Took us in on short notice, and each menu item is reliably good. Had grouper special most recently, with fennel and lobster. Redd is one of the top choices in the Rochester region, and for good reason. I'm happy to support businesses that truly care about the product they provide, and about the customers they serve.

What a great place to have in Rochester. Went for our anniversary dinner and they congratulated us as we arrived and offered a complimentary toast. Small seasonal menu which showed the focus of the food. Everything was amazing. As good as I've had anywhere in New York City. The price was comparable for a nice dinner out anywhere so an amazing value. Definitely a new go to place for impressing guests or special occasions

Wooooowwwwwwww. I must say I have had the best toffee cake and the most amazing steak here I mean also the chicken was so crunchy and well seasoned and packed with so much flavor. The host was so sweet, you never have to ask for a refill because when I looked at my empty glass someone came and refilled it. I wish I could give 10 starts . Had an amazing time here and also lovely atmosphere .

An absolutely amazing experience.

We made reservations for 5:45pm and showed up 15 minutes early. Due to being early, we were offered to head towards the bar for a drink. It seems they strictly abide by the reservation time and will not seat you if you are early, which is fine. To the bar we went for a couple of drinks before heading back to the host stand to be seated at our table.

We received water by a kind gentleman named, "Jacob." I asked Jacob if he would kindly take picture of us and without hesitation he happily did. We started off with a couple of appetizers. The Gnocchi which was absolutely phenomenal. Very light and airy. It was like biting into little clouds. An excellent starter. The girlfriend opted in for the Glazed Pork Belly. Perfect meat to fat ratio. Rich and accompanied by a great apple salad with a lovely vinaigrette.

For mains, I opted in for the Caramelized Scallops. It did not only have a stunning presentation but is easily one of the best scallop dishes I've had. Perfectly seared scallops which accompanied with cauliflower, capers, raisins and almonds. Absolutely delicious. As for the girlfriend, she ordered the Grilled Chicken. The chicken was a generous portion, bone-on and moist. Very impressive for such a thick piece of chicken to be moist and flavourful. We did order both sides available on the menu. The Fried Marble Potatoes were just okay, but the Wood Oven-Roasted Brussel Sprouts were great. I would have liked to see just a few more options for sides vs. two and for $12 each, I found this was a bit steep for the fried marble potatoes but worth every penny for the brussel sprouts.

We ended our meal with a dessert which I can't remember the exact name for. It was a thick custard with a lovely maple flavour. Our server was kind to place a candle on the dessert being my girlfriend's birthday.

After my dinner experience here at REDD, this easily became one of my top 5 restaurants in Rochester, NY. The clean atmosphere, the presentation of the food, the quality of the food, the service and everything in-between was spot on.
