Very comfortable and clean hotel. Helpful staff at service desk.
Very clean and newly updated. Excellent breakfast selection and the dining room staff was very helpful in getting our family with three children set up with cartoons on the dining room TV, coloring pages, and checking on us. Great work! Would stay again.

I had to book two last minute stays at this hotel and I could not have chosen a better one. Alisha checked me in the first night. She was very friendly and professional, offering quick service which you want in the early morning hours when you need a bed. She told me to call her and let her know if I would need to extend letting me know it would be no issue. The next day Manal checked me in and the positive experience continued. She was very friendly and went above and beyond. I didn't have a phone charger with me and needed directions to a gas station to buy one and before i could even finish my sentence, Manal pulls out a charger for me to use. This saved me money and time and just really made my whole stay. I always appreciate the little things like that. The rooms were nice and modern and I wasn't able to partake in the breakfast but did enjoy the all night coffee bar! Thanks for all you do!

Came in from out-of-town for a wedding with 3 toddlers and an elderly grandma. Hotel staff was professional and went above and beyond in their customer service. Phyllis and Tiffany were so personable and proactive with anticipating anything we needed. Dawn was incredible at running the continental breakfast, and she made the kids feel so loved and seen. They even made her cards to tell her thank you. All three were genuine with their kindness. Hotel is clean and quiet, and it was an easy access to different stores and highway.

The employees here are fantastic, especially Tiffany! I stayed here for a week and was always greeted with a warm smile and asked if I needed anything in the lobby. Unfortunately, I left the some clothes in the closet on my way out and Tiffany was kind enough to box them up for me and have them ready when I picked them up a week later. Highly recommend!

This was an awesome place to stay. Loved all the staff at this establishment. Absolutely loved the hostess that served breakfast every morning. She was so kind, friendly, hard worker, and so much more. All the Marriotts should have a hostess like this Awesome Woman. The rooms were absolutely awesome. Cannot complain about anything.

This five star review is for the staff. All of them. But #1 is Phyllis. I’ve been here for 5 weeks for work and I look forward to chatting with her as I’m getting back in the evenings. Great personality and super personable. Either stop advertising a pool or figure out how to fix it…..

Exceptionally friendly staff. Inusually goid breakfasts: eggs, bacon, sometimes sausage sandwiches. Waffles, oatmeal with all the fixings. Fresh oj and apple sause. Not love yha parking fee, and would like a cushioned armchair in the rooms. Sleeper sofa not as comfortable. Pool closed.

I'd stay here again.
While the building and decor were definitely dated, it was clean and comfortable and good value. The front desk staff was very nice and the breakfast lady was fantastic. The pool was closed but the workout room was available and looked good. The area looked a little run down (covid?) but seemed safe still and there were several restaurants within walking distance.

What an awesome experience. We came in extremly early and got an awesome sleep as well as a great rate, they even gave us a late checkout no problem. We also forgot something in the hotel room after checking out and came back, they let us in and we retrieved our item. Honest, clean, safe and friendly. Highly reccomend.

DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL ME & MY DANCE TEAM HAD THE PLEASURE OF STAYING IN THIS ESTABLISHMENT OVER THE WEEKEND, THEY TREATED US WITH SO MUCH HOSPITALITY AND RESPECT. ALL THE HOTEL STAFF WERE NICE, PLEASANT AND VERY ACCOMMODATING ESPECIALLY FRONT DESK STAFF! OUR ROOMS WERE CLEAN, HOT BREAKFAST, AND EASY PARKING. ONLY THING OUR KIDS WAS UPSET ABOUT WAS THE POOL BEING CLOSED BUT THEY STILL HAD A GOOD TIME. WE WANNA THANK EVERYONE FOR ALL THE SPECIAL THINGS YOU DID FOR US!! WE REALLY APPRECIATE IT!

I have stayed here at the Fairfield in by Bechtle in Springfield for about a month and a half while training for a new position. I have had an amazing experience with a kind and extremely helpful staff. From the ladies at the desk to the ladies behind the scenes cleaning rooms, thank you!!!

Great and the best continental breakfast I have been to many different Fairfield inns and it does depend on the people who make the hot courses to how good it is. But you can always get plenty of different stuff to eat that are consistent and good! I will look for a Fairfield inn anywhere i have to stay and don't mind paying more for a job well done!!

You get a free eye test every morning due to a beautiful framed Snellen chart in every room.
It's the best hotel I ever stayed at in Ohio. Staff was wonderful rooms were clean. Will visit again next time I'm in Springfield.

2023- June 5-18th stay-update! Gave this hotel another chance, glad I did. Phabulous Phyllis is still there! Along w new/former manager Chrystal. GREAT STAY!! This is how it used to be. Shout out to wonderful housekeeper Tham! I stayed 9 days. Wonderful! Breakfast staff in lobby also wonderful.Tiffany-wonderful at the desk. Everyone was so nice and helpful. So glad this place has good management now. Previous review was two stars. Changed it to reflect the great service I got at with this stay. THANK U TO ALL!!

2019-The best thing about this particular stay was the Phantastic Phyllis!! Which is the only reason this place is getting two stars instead of one. She was phantastic when she was housekeeping a few years ago, and is just as phantastic at the front desk. She should be manager.
So, I get there and check in after driving from NM, sick by the way. TV in front of bed did not work. The nice Josh worked on it for over and hour and told me that the previous tenant of the room had said the tv didn't work but no one had fixed it. He gave me another room right next door. I'm ok with that so far.
As we go into the other room, he tells me that the previous tenant of that room had left early. Come 10pm, I get a migraine and lights out, tv off. That's when I heard this really loud hum. It wasn't consistent, a short, then long, then off, then long, then long, then long and short, etc, I traced it to the wall plug near the heater/air conditioner. I unplugged it, still heard the hum, unplugged other things and still heard the hum. Since I had already had to change rooms, I didn't want to make waves, but I couldn't sleep and it amplified at the bed. So I made several recordings of it. By 12:30, I went downstairs. The Phantastic Phyllis was there. She took a listen and gave me another room. (3rd room) Now I know why the previous tenant left early.
At the same time I was downstairs telling Phyllis about the problem, a man who just checked in, came back down right away and told Phyllis that he turned down his bed covers to find imprints of bodies on the sheets and human hair. In other words, no cleaning...gross!!!... Phyllis gave him another room.
The next evening, a Friday, starting at 8pm, about 8 kids were running up and down the hallway. The parents were in attendance talking in the hallway, loudly, until about 8:30pm then they left. I thought, well, they are kids having fun, no probs, they'll settle down after 10pm. Oh boy, wrong!!! The parents let these kids run up and down the hallway, yelling, laughing all night. Come about 11pm, I couldn't take it anymore since I only had 3 hrs sleep the other night in this hotel and went downstairs to the front desk.

Unfortunately, Phyllis wasn't there. The front desk was manned by Carrie, who refused to wear masks on my first day but was now, (was told there are medical reasons why she refused to wear them,). I told her what was going on upstairs. Her response? "There are a lot of sports going on." That was it. Nothing else. I told her I was trying to sleep. No response. That was it. I was to stay there another week, I cancelled on the spot.These kids continued to run up and down laughing and yelling until almost 12:30am.

The next day I checked into a slightly more expensive hotel but well worth it.

I've been going to this hotel (Fairfield) for 10 years, if not longer, whenever I come into Ohio to visit family. I had high hopes of the current manager Robbie when he was just a desk person. He used to do a terrific job back then, but seems to be overwhelmed with this job as manager.

Oh yeah, the third room, the door was not fitting in the frame. I had to put a towel in the crack so people couldn't look in it, it was that bad. Looks like all they have to do is to adjust the screws on the door hinges to make it set right. But maybe that's asking too much from the management of this hotel. Two years ago, I almost changed hotels but decided to stick it out. Sad that this place has gone downhill..

Had a great stay—incredibly helpful staff, everyone said hello in the hallways and was warm and friendly. Excellent fitness center with free weights, treadmills. My favorite part though: three pillow options! All of different firmness/softness. Think about that. I don’t even have that at home. Awesome pool and hot tub that I’ll have to use next time I pass through with more time. Plenty of healthy options at breakfast. Clean rooms with great desk space, tons of outlets. Great shower and bathroom.

Rooms were very clean. Microwave and fridge, comfortable beds made for a nice stay. Staff were all friendly and eager to assist. Great job, Fairfield Inn!

Extremely friendly staff helped us statistically with a few odd requests. The rooms were very smartly designed and clean. The pool was small but warm. All in all a great place to stay.

The staff at this hotel is absolutely AMAZING. My stay is due to a medical emergency with my daughter. Robbie and Evan have been the sweetest, most helpful hotel staff that I've come across this year. To put that in perspective, I've stayed about 15-20 nights in a variety of hotels over the past 6 months. This staff is stellar, and the hotel room is nice and clean.

Friendly helpful staff. Clean, comfortable, well configured room. Nice fitness area. Good breakfast buffet. Easy entry/exit/parking. Excellent value.

For being a "2 star" hotel my friends and I were treated like a 5 star place. Everyone there greeted us each and every time we passed by the desk. Rooms were very clean. Dining area was well kept and the breakfast was spot on with everything fresh. I left my beloved Cleveland Indians hat in my room and figured it out a day later. When I called they said they had it. I offered to pay the shipping and they said they would take care of it at no cost to me. I was blown away! Kudos to your staff. You should all be proud of what you do. Looking forward to staying there again same time next year.
