Ironworks Waffle Cafe

Was headed East towards Columbus on a sunny Saturday morning and planned a stop at Ironworks for some delicious Chicken & Waffles. Located inside the Market downtown Springfield, parking wasn't too bad, numerous vendors, and the lively atmosphere makes for a good vibe 🎉

Upon entering the main hall it's an open food court concept where you seat yourself and choose from all kinds of venues, but I came for the Chicken & Waffles and they did not disappoint! 😋

The Chicken was flavorful, crunchy, yet tender on the inside. The Waffles were fluffy and light which quickly absorbed the delicious Bourbon Maple syrup. Great mix that was all washed down with a wheat beer and some Blantons, yes, Blantons (IYKYK)! There is a full bar inside the hall which completed the meal before he headed out to Columbus! 🍻

Overall, highly recommend for the options, atmosphere, and obviously good food! 👍

Super cute dining experience. CoHatch hosts several different food options within the same building. It was our first experience, and I look forward for our return.

We had a wonderful breakfast delivered with fantastic service topped with a delicious coffee. What a gem. I would most definitely recommend. They do make everything fresh to order, so patience is necessary.... this isn't McDonald's ♡♡♡

Excellent! Sausage gravy waffle & lavendar vanilla oat milk iced. Great flavor to the gravy, nice scrambled egg and large tasty waffle. The drink was pleasantly delicate. I would definitely order both again. The kitchen area was clean & constantly wiped down. Both workers were very friendly and provided quick service. Iron Works is well worth the money and I will return. Lots to choose from in terms of money and hot/cold drinks. I was very pleased.

The service was great! They patiently answered all my first-timer questions. I got the September special (Apple Pie Waffle for $9) and could not have loved it more. My niece got the PB&J (Lenski Waffle for $7.50) and was very happy with it. The CoHatch building is super cute and when we went (9:45am Saturday morning during a Farmer's Market) still had plenty of seating inside and out. Highly recommend!

Got a waffle with nutella, berries, and syrup this morning and it is SO good. Best waffle I've ever had in my entire life. Already planning when i can come back and get another one. Also got a side of bacon, and it's good, too. I don't think I've ever had bad bacon, though.

We visited while checking out the Springfield farmers market and we were not disappointed! Although we waited about 15 minutes to order, the line moved quickly and the food was so good, it justified the longish wait! The waffle sandwich was great and I recommend substitutions the hash brown for fruit because the fruit was soooo good and refreshing!

Food was delicious and portions were great for the price. It is situated in a building with several other vendors/restaurants so everyone in your party can get exactly what they are craving.

We got the Davey Moore and The National Road. All we could say is …. We’ll nothing because we were too busy stuffing our faces with this deeicious food. I have a very picky teen … and if anyone knows anything about a child on the ASD scale, they know what I’m working with. He is especially particular about the flavor of syrup and the texture of the waffle. Half way through his waffle he said he was full …. But he couldn’t stop eating because he was enjoying it SO MUCH. The chorizo on the Davey Moore was incredible along with the Sriracha mayo. I highly recommend this place! Oh! And the hash browns are perfectly gold and crispy - no ketchup needed as they are PACKED with flavor!

Staff was super friendly, smiles, $2.5 for a small americano and it’s one of the best I’ve had, asked for cream and sugar and the balance was perfect

My husband and I love to come here! Their lattes are AMAZING and this morning we tried their Roast Beast special. We were both super impressed with it! Absolutely delicious! I highly recommend coming here and trying it all! ❤❤

Very good. We got both a savory and a sweet option and spit them; both were exceptional. The hash browns were very good as well. Coffee and Chai were pretty good. Overall, the prices were exactly what I would expect and the portions were on the bigger side. Would definitely recommend!

As someone who has a lot of issues with gluten, eating at a waffle place has become a thing of the past. So when I went to Ironworks with a friend I was visiting from Springfield, I was surprised when they said they could make their waffle sandwiches gluten free. However, I was still a little bit incredulous because I have had many "gluten free" versions of foods that look the same, but the flavor and texture are completely compromised. I ordered the Davey Moore and was FLOORED when I, for the first time in years, felt like I was actually eating a warm, fluffy waffle again. They got it so right. It was fresh, flavorful, and unique. The employees were so bright and helpful. I plan on making sure I make it to Ironworks every time I visit my friend in Springfield!

Was my first time here. I was in line with another couple in front of me and I noticed that one was hearing Impaired and the lady who was at register also knew sign language and I could tell without any spoken language that they were regulars. I thought that was absolutely fantastic I love how they can accept and communicate with all that comes to this special place. Made my ❤ fill warm. Will recommend. Another perk the food is delicious 😋

The Market Waffle with butter and syrup was a delicious surprise. It is a different type of waffle from the other items, less airy. We'll be getting one every time we eat here.
