I think that Our Hero has the best subs!
I've been visiting the different locations ever since they very first opened.
The service is always very fast and friendly the food is always very good and fresh.
You're never going to get old fries, and the seasoning on the fries is very delicious.
The prices are a little higher than your regular Subway experience, but you'll definitely see the difference as soon as you start eating there.
This place is highly recommended although I think the only locations are in Springfield.

When we order from our hero, we usually order on the phone for pick up the food is always fresh and hot.

Our Hero has been a favorite of mine for years. It was a regular for lunch before I retired. They have made upgrades to the facility and it has made a more pleasurable atmosphere for those who choose to dine in. The cheesesteak is still to "die for". Heroes are my "go-to" for a tasty sandwich.

This little restaurant is a diamond in the rough.

Burger packed with flavor and extremely fresh! When I unwrapped this burger it was steaming. Will continue to come here.

I've patronized Our Hero for years and it was a favorite place to go for lunch before I retired. They have a decent menu of their most liked sandwiches. I visited them last week and I have seen no difference in taste and quality.

Great quality for the value. We have their subs every time we are in the area! The Dieters Delight is so great, even when you aren't watching your calories. They almost always get the crazy special orders right and I've never had to wait long for my order.

The gentleman that took our order, I'm assuming is the owner, was very friendly. He thanked us numerous times for our business. He offered us soft drinks while we waited for our order, which was a really big order but it only took about 10 minutes. Very clean and friendly atmosphere. When we got home with our food, everything was correct. Everything was hot and tasted great. Definitely will be returning!!

Going to try something new. Going to keep it short. Been eating our hero subs for last 25 years. Consistency is the key, the Italian is consistently the best sub they have. The roast beef and turkey amazing. The roast beef with the works amazing. Not really a fan of the Reuben, but I don't like Reuben sandwiches so not surprising.
The salads are great, in short I love the place, great place to eat good service and consistency. If you are not sure what to get, go and get an 8 inch Italian sit back and enjoy.

Local favorite. Excellent subs. We love the seasoned bag fries and of course, the cookies. I just wish they had fountain drinks so I can get ice but- everything is a great for a locally owned establishment. Good thing we live near it because there is only one in town now.

Our Hero has really good subs. I have been a costumer for 15+ years. I used to frequent Urbana location when I lived that way. I usually go to North Plum location now. They have a more extensive menu than they used to. Anything I have gotten is good and fresh. I like their fries and cookies. Wait isn't usually too bad.

Just ate here for the first time. I got the club on a sub, toasted. So good! They put an Italian dressing on it, making it have just the right amount of tang mixed with the onion, lettuce and tomatoes. The bread is awesome. Great sub! Way better than subway. I’ll definitely be back!

Our Hero is the best sub shop in Springfield. Their subs are delicious, come in a variety of sizes and I have been eating there and craving their delicious turkey subs since 2001. My Mom used to bring me an Our Hero turkey sub after school before soccer practice and to this day when I come home to Springfield, I have to have an Our Hero sub. The fries are so good, I hear the dish of meatballs is excellent as well. Eat at this local treasure as soon as you can!
