Overlook Park

There's a little parking area on School Road. It's a very scenic, loud falls system that is breathtaking. Not what I expected at all when I was told it's worth visiting. It was flowing really fast at the time. There was a rental place just down stream for kayaks and canoes.

A great little park to see the falls when the other look out is closed.

Awesome fall in cohoes city, Albany, New York.

Even though the main park was close, the view I got was spectacular.

The roar of the falls was the only sound. Old architecture in the surrounding area. A peaceful stop.

Very small park off the side of the road but it has incredible views of Cohoes Falls. One of the most majestic waterfalls I have ever seen. Well worth the drive to this area to see it. There is another park right up the street that has a few different views of the waterfalls as well. A must see if you are in the Albany area!

Could be better taken care of by the City of Cohoes, but this park offers beautiful, unobstructed views of the falls. Great photography and picnic opportunities.

ALOT to say about this hidden jem starting with the Dutch settlers to the Mohawk river canal system.With woolly mammoth found at the base.must see place🦣The stairs down are a bit tuff for older folks but doable

This place could be a lot more beautiful, if there was funds dedicated to such. If they could also allow people to get closer to the spillway, that would be amazing!

Great view of Cohoes falls, which is part of the Erie canalway national park. You can also see the sluice of the local power plant. You can basically drive by this to check it out. If you want to get out, there is a short path as well (not wheelchair accessible,) with viewing areas and railings. Parking is quite limited, you will likely need to parallel park on the street.

New York uses this part of the Hudson River, or Mohawk River to convert it into power for use.

A tucked away park overlooks gorgeous Cohoes Falls with the roar of rushing water. A perfect picnic spot.

The Cohoes Falls is beautiful. My family and I loved it. Thank you mother nature. 🙏🏿

Nice view of the Cohoes Falls from here. It's the only place you can view it in the winter.

What a view of the falls even on a colder winter day! Nice outlook and we didn't see much traffic. This waterfall is absolutely beautiful

The falls was absolutely amazing! I have never seen it flowing down with such vengeance!!
