Prospect Park

Prospect Park is a historic place, sprawling lawns, an overlook with vistas of Troy, Watervliet and Albany and the distant Helderberg Mountains. There are picnicking areas, tennis courts, hiking trails, and ample parking.

Has everything you want in a park: Many activities, picnic areas, sports, leisure, beautiful views.

Good park where to spend a good time, playground, panoramic view of the city, river and the mountain.

Prospect park is one very big park!it has a few different things to do in different areas of the park.they have sprinklers, swings, slides, basketball court, trails I can go on n on!oh did I mention a picnic area n picnic tables all over the park and to top it off they have all different sorts of activities here for free on different occasions.a Easter egg hunt for both young n old all types of free concerts and they have free barbacues sometimes as well.Alot to do at prospect park!!If ur looking for a place to have a outdoor birthday party n it needs to be big for a bouncy house n lots of people this is the place...

Lots to do here, well kept grounds, mens and women's restroom.

It's a very pretty park. There are spots with tables for people sit and hangout. Since it is at the top of a hill, you can get a beautiful view of the downtown. You get see the sunset too!! Parking is free.

Beautiful park to spend the day. Ideal for a picnic with family and friends. Unfortunately the washrooms were not open on our last visit in April. But there were mobile toilets. The spot overlooking the city of Troy is beautiful. BBQ grills and benches all around.

Great place to get away, take a walk, play basketball, tennis, disc golf or use the athletic section. Adequate playground for the kids with sprinklers. Plenty of picnic tables and charcoal grills throughout. Fantastic views of Troy to Albany.

I adore the park. It has a ton of stuff for kids and families. The views of Troy are amazing.

A beautiful park with a nice look out over the town. We walked around and looked at the trees. Saw people skiing and also kids sledding down a hill.

Prospect Park is a great place to meet new people. Especially the yearly events put together by the community;)

Although the entire property is great, this review is specifically for the disc golf course. The course designers and local volunteers have done an amazing job with the expansion of this course to a full 18 hole layout. The new holes are mostly wooded, with plenty of elevation change and some tricky lines. This course just became one of my favorites in the region!

My fav place to visit for fun activities, amazing sunset, disc golf, frisbee, tennis, basketball, jog around the perimeter trail, enjoy a lovely picnic! The playground is old but kids still love it

Lovely park, it’s got a splash pad in the summer, disk golf and a few trails. It’s large for a park in the middle of a city and feels fairly wild but also has a little playground and large grassy areas. Nice place for a walk or a family BBQ

I love this park. It has no real distinct features except that it is closeby to our urban area and accessible to our city's residents. They have wisely recently blocked off vehicle access to the overlook. This has inhibited the massive partying gatherings there. They have also installed security cameras there. As a long time park goer, This change is phenomenal.

Very nice park. The disc golf course is awesome!! Definitely some challenging holes, but fun!!

This was a nice spot to picnic after my son’s kindergarten graduation. Families gathered under the pavilion and on the lawn. Up the hill is a nice playground, which the kids loved.

Love prospect park. Its been a spot for family gatherings for long time. It has a lot of nice walking or biking trails and an awesome view of the city of Troy. There is a play ground and a splash pad for children.
