Clifton Merchant Public Parking Lot

Clean parking that is close to all Ludlow Street attractions. We always park here when going to see a show at the Ludlow Garage. Parking is only $4. Sometimes, the credit card taker can be cantankerous causing a backup. Al and all, the easiest place to park close to the venue.

I use this lot frequently. It is very affordable and is the best place to park for the business district unless you need universal access. You must be able to climb stairs. There have been times when the exit ticket machine malfunctions. There is a button on the machine to press, and it calls someone. They provide the help you need.

As of 2022 this parking lot only takes credit card so the other reviews saying they dont are way out of date. The parking lot is easy to access and is located very closely behind businesses so it’s very convenient. I give this a 4 star only because the area is kinda sketchy because of homeless people. Anybody can access the parking lot from the side opposite of the entrance gates so be careful with your belongings.

Very reasonably priced, it's a nice lot. However, due to events in the area quite often it's filled to capacity!

It took nearly an hour to exit this small lot after event at Ludlow Garage! Must be due to the credit card (only) machine, which took my ticket & returned my credit card but I have no receipt & no idea what was charged. And after reading these reviews, which I wish I'd read first, I'm thankful I got out!

Went to an event and parked here. $4 parking was definitely too good to be true, as the event ended about 12:20, the machine let the first round of 5-8 people out and after that displayed a “closed” message. There was a line of over 20 people from that event all in line trying to leave at the same time and the arm wouldn’t budge and the machine had just turned off. Beyond me why a 24 hour parking site would close, but props to the car in the front of the line who ripped the arm off and let everyone out after being trapped for about 30min.

We just left the lot. Someone's ticket had gotten stuck before us. We managed to get the machine to eject the old ticket, and take our ticket. But then it wouldn't take our credit card. Our nephew tried it too, and he also had absolutely no success. Then we tried the Call Button, but no one answered. After struggling with it for 10 minutes we finally gave up and drove over the curb to get out. And moved some traffic cones they had there so we could block the entrance, to try and prevent additional people from getting stuck.
Especially infuriating because we went through something similar there a few years ago, although on that occasion someone did answer our call, and eventually managed to let us out. At the time we figured it was a one-time screw-up, but now... well, obviously we'll never park in that lot again.

Second year in a row we have parked here to see a show at Ludlow and have been ripped off both times. Would not accept any credit card and then also wouldn't give change. If you look closely at my photo, my $4 parking cost $20 because it wouldn't dispense change. All after it said it could not accept any form of credit card payment. It took 20 minutes to get out of the lot because everyone had the same problem and there was no signage to indicate there would be a problem. Could not find a number anywhere to call for a refund.

The lot was convenient to venue, however, would not take credit card and did not give any change - paid $20. for a $4. ticket. Message on machine to "see lot attendant" - there was no lot attendant. Nor is there information on getting the change/telephone # to call etc. Be sure to keep $5's & $1's if using this lot. And expect providing them with a healthy "tip" for it. We know how they make their $$$.

There is no way to contact the management. I searched a lot to contact the management to inform about the machine error for Ticket Jam almost 2 to 3 times every week while getting into the parking lot as I live just besides the parking lot.
Very Very Bad Maintenance.

the arm blocking the car from leaving was broken, I thought it was free and left. No attendant a poorly managed parking lot

I will never park here again. Took 40 minutes to get out of a small parking lot.

Charged us twice to get out., beware and way overpriced
