North Chagrin Reservation

Our first time visiting was for the Nature at Night event and it was phenomenal. The staff and volunteers were friendly and knowledgeable. The marsh and pond was my favorite, but my children really enjoyed the Nature Center, Nature Shop and the trails. We didn’t get a chance to sit down at the picnic tables, but everything was maintained well enough to come back for a picnic or even lay out a blanket in a grassy area for one.

Nice biking and hiking trail. Good parking, has plenty of trails, scenery and buttermilk falls as well. If I am not hiking Cuyahoga Valley this is my go to for a quick hike.

Great place to explore. Events coming soon, my kids can't wait. Beautiful pond area. Walk about trails. Educational boards on path walks. There is so much to do here.

One of my favorite Cleveland Metroparks for hiking. The Castle is cool too, and has a huge lawn for active picnics.

Beautiful park with nice paved paths, lots of shade, and plenty of animal and plant diversity. I love that they let so much of the park be natural without letting it get overgrown or unkempt.

Castle is beautiful in the winter, The Nature center here is better than most ive been too, especially with toys for toddlers and very safe place to walk around inside. Love the bird watching area, birds came up to the window and got to see them up close. Staff was nice and friendly! Recommended a visit!!

This is a really beautiful park and is great for wheelchairs. We were married here 19 years ago.

Really beautiful park with expansive trails of all types of terrain. Something for everyone and the pavilions and activity areas are kept up really well. As a somewhat experienced hiker, I will say that it was sometimes difficult to locate and follow the signs. Occasionally there was one sign with paths in multiple directions. Other than that, I would say this is a great place to get out and explore.

Plenty of awesome trails weaving throughout the reservation. From All purpose trails, bridle trails, fitness trails, and hiking trails there is something for everyone

It's beautiful in the late Fall too! This was a hike to the Historical Shelter in North Chagrin

We love it here. Great trails that are pretty family friendly. You can walk for a long time and see some pretty neat sites. Buttermilk falls is beautiful. There are exercise stations placed throughout. Fosters run is tucked away back there too and so worth the hike. The nature center is fun and they host different little events throughout the year.

Great place to ride! Nice groomed trails and a great place to ride, especially when it's been raining and everywhere else is wet.

I needed a fall color image and had my costume with me. So pulled in to see Squires Castle. Always a nice place to relax in. Always 20 min. Photographers on week ends. Especially in Fall. There is a restroom house. The building is mainly walls left and sturdy. Trails in the woods and yellow fall colors on trees. Morning sun hits building face. Makes it golden tones. From rt 6 turn south on River road and it is on the right. Drive past castle to enjoy lots of trails.

Absolutely my favorite park. I try to go here once a week. I've been here over 50 times now and there is still much more to explore. They have nice walking trails and bridle trails you can get lost for hours. In the summer I enjoy going to the pond and just watching the animals that hang out there. The Nature Center is also really nice. Especially to look at the birds right outside the window.

Really well maintained trails, boardwalk and access to a series of ponds and woods. There's a small, well-kept raptor center for birds that have been injured and can no longer survive in the wild. You could stay in the easy to traverse area by the entrance point at SOM Center Road, or hike deeper into more rugged trails and woods.

North Chagrin Reservation located in Willoughby Hills Ohio is a huge Park. It contains a paved hiking trail 4 miles long and a large dirt Bridle Trail. This park contains several picnic areas like Whispering Woods, strawberry pond, A.B. Williams Memorial Woods & Forest picnic area. You should make sure to visit the Nature Center and check out the legend that is Squires Castle.

Very pleased with the educational aspects in the park. Im seeing a shift in the wildlife over the last 20 years, as well as the human presence. Adapting to change is good.

I had a lovely drive along the river. It is so beautiful and peaceful. There is park after park with everything you want to do outdoors. The river is nice. Everything is so clean and well cared for.

North Chagrin Reservation is one of the largest and most diverse Cleveland Metroparks areas. There are so many trails there to choose from with good variation in wildlife, scenery, hills, and trail types. It's very well maintained. This is one of my favorite places to experience being alone in the tranquil stillness of the forest. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of urban areas and decompress - this is the place. It's easily accessible by bicycle as well.
