Murray Park

Pretty, clean, large park! Our toddler LOVED the new toddler playground, which was unusually busy for a Wednesday morning in January...probably owing to unseasonably warm weather.

Also our dog absolutely went nuts on the walking paths. Being half hound, she can't get enough smells in her snoot. Peaceful waterways, nice bridges, clean and numerous picnic areas...very, VERY nice park. One of the nicest we have been to in the valley. Saw several squirrels and was buzzed by a bald eagle! No pic of the latter, unfortunately.

My family came here for Murray City's Independence Day celebration and we were thoroughly impressed. The park is spacious, clean, and gorgeous with beautiful, large grassy areas and lots of mature trees for shade.

Although the park was extremely busy, it was plenty big to accommodate everyone who wanted a place to picnic and celebrate.

I had no expectations for the city firework celebration, but it was outstanding! I would definitely go again!

Lovely little park. The water is still low and there are signs of spring everywhere. There's a great sculpture of a native American at the entrance on state street. The dogs had a great time

This park is very family friendly with a free outdoor area to explore that has a running creek with a bridge, playground, memorial for Vietnam vets, a Cannon, and a large wooden Indian head at the front entrance . The unexpected fun thing to do was a real outdoor fitness center that is weather proof and literally free to the public.
If you love ❤ to swim 🏊‍♀ . There is also a huge aquatic center within the park. There is an inside play area with giant slides and other cool water activities to do with your kids. They even have a lap pool and an outside pool as well.
Handicap ♿ accessibility, and benches available to sit on throughout the park.

Murray Park is so great for the new, engaging play areas for kids and toddlers. There is also fun history you can learn about by walking the park's pathways. You're sure to see some Squirrels and Ducks in the stream that runs through the park. This park also has soccer fields, a baseball field, and an outdoor waterpark and swimming pool that is open seasonally.

Update! There is now a toddler park where the old swings used to be, and my toddler loved running around and playing in the shade and gated area!

We love this side of Murray Park! especially in the evening. Great for relaxing, playing at the park, having a picnic, or just laying in a blanket and listening to nature! Public restrooms are available here.

Murray park is a awesome place and one of Salt Lake cities best parks. It has a lot to offer, a lot more then the other parks in the area. They have playgrounds, work out areas, pavilions, gardens, rivers, tracks, everything pretty much. Tons of trees for shade, little rivers with ducks, ice ring, everything you need really.They even have a farmers market in the summer on Friday’s and Saturday’s. If you are in the area and looking to stretch the legs or have a picnic, this is the park for you. Murray park is definitely a place to check out.

I was surprised to see the water levels so low this time of the year. I wonder why?

I absolutely love love love this park!! I’ve been coming to this park for years. It’s a massive park and there is so much you can do. There is a kid play area that has awesome musical features. There is an outdoor work out area. There is a community center and indoor pool with an outdoor pool. There is a pickle ball court. There are large fields for soccer and there are a couple of baseball fields. There is an amphitheater, picnic areas, and a stream that flows through the park. There is a farmers market and food truck type events that happen often. My son and I will continue to visit. It is a jewel of Murray City.

Incredibly big and beautiful spacious park! There are playgrounds and walkways/trails. There are also nice pavilions to hang out under. The grass is very comfortable to sit on. It is great to enjoy all the trees in the area. Super beautiful park! Definitely a favorite of mine!

Murray Park is my go-to when I'm in town, for photos and hangouts. If you have kids there are multiple playgrounds and a pool for those hot summer days! Today there was a library reading for kids in the Park, followed by a concert! So brilliant and beautiful!

This park is my favorite in the valley. I can remember visiting this park from my childhood, over 45 years ago. Brings me back to a simpler time. The park has all kinds of amenities, we have our family reunion every year in one of the pavilions you can reserve. I especially enjoy the childrens music area, all kinds of musical instruments in the play area for children, or people to use with reckless abandon. My last visit was when the river was flooding over it banks. I enjoyed discovering this well from pioneers that settled here long ago.

Huge spacious park with a few playgrounds. Tons of shade to sit under.. tons of parking.

Murray's Park is so pretty this time of year. It's also a great place to take a blanket and veg under the huge trees that create safety from the glare of the sun,or why not bring a book and curl up and read? Or better yet bring your art supplies and let your creativity juices just flow, their are so many possibilities I take my camera there and someone to model for me and let my creative thoughts let loose.

Still one of our favorite parks ever! Obviously we spend most of our time on the south side near the river... But the multiple playgrounds, walks, bridges, trees, hills, and huge grassy areas are awesome. It's landscaped nicely and well maintained.

One of the best places to chill and train in Salt lake City. It is a huge expanse with trails, water bodies and a soccer field. There are lots of pokestops and gyms in the park if you are into Pokemon Go. The park is most crowded in the evening and the weekends.

I grew up going to Murray Park, playing, swimming, fireworks, baseball games at Ken Price ball park, county fair each year. I still go there on the 4th of July for fireworks every year. I still go there for picnics and relaxing with memories of my childhood. I used to stop at the Superette market across Vine sheet on the way, to get treats, the building and the sign are still there but not the store, great memories!

This place to take family photos or other photos is just gorgeous in winter, spring, summer, or fall.
Wow... There are so many options with ponds, trees, and a few bridges.
