RB Painting

We had our home repainted inside and out by Gary, Art, and Shane in September 2021. Gary was great to work with right from the initial consultation, and quickly showed how skilled and knowledgeable he is. He helped guide us through selecting our paints and made sure we got our house looking the best it could. Working with them was really easy. They were courteous, on-time, and cleaned up after themselves. Don’t be surprised if Gary lets you know there’s going to be a bit of a wait before he can get started. He’s almost always in high demand!

From the first time I spoke with Gary from RB Painting, I knew I was not dealing with just another contractor. Gary was nothing but professional, courteous, and understanding. During his initial inspection of my home, he carefully examined every piece of the exterior of my house to ensure he understood exactly what I wanted to be done with the house. It became very obvious almost immediately that Gary had years and years of experience and really wanted the job to be done right the first time. The quote he provided to me for the job was received promptly and was detailed. I was already sold on having RB Painting complete the job even before even knowing how much it was going to cost me. It is not everyday that I meet a contractor as genuine and honest as Gary was.

Once Gary and his team (Cassie and Art) started the job, it took less than two weeks to complete the painting of the exterior of my house, which is just under 1900 square feet in size. Gary and his crew requested access to my garage to set up their equipment as well as access to the house to occasionally use the restroom. Although this is not something I would typically allow for most other contractors, that was not the case with Gary and his team. It felt as though I just had family visiting, who happened to be helping me paint the house. There was never a time that I thought twice about allowing the RB Painting crew access to my home. Each day, his team arrived on time and ready to work. They were very careful to clean up after themselves everyday before leaving the premises, which was also very important to me.

The job that Gary and his crew completed was very meticulous and it was obvious that each of them paid attention to each detail of the job. The team used paint where needed, but the cut-outs painted by the team, specifically by Cassie, without the aid of tape, was simply AMAZING and impressive! I would give all future paint jobs at my house to RB Painting in the future without hesitation, even if that meant waiting a bit for their schedule to open up a bit.

Gary and his crew did a great job. Gary was good at communicating things to us and making sure everything was clear about how the job would be done, what would be painted and what colors we wanted. He was very thorough! We are happy with the results.

Just got our house done with RB Painting, Gary and his crew were great to work with, the paint job is beautiful and they really spent their time prepping which was super appreciated. Gary is incredibly responsive, great at follow up and just in general a nice guy with a lot of experience in his business. We have 3 dogs and they were very accommodating with them as well. Gary and his crew (Art & Shane) did a great job painting our entire 2 story house and a new fence in Nov 2022. Washed down the house and did a lot of prep sealing up joints and masking everything well. Gary, the owner, is on site working and checking that everything is done properly.

No paint left on any of our windows nor any other overspray or other clean up we had to do… great! One of our neighbors, who used to paint houses, commented that it looked like they did a very good job.

All the crew were pleasant to work with and responsible so it was a nice experience having them around. Definitely had a sense of quality work and a lot of painting experience from Gary too.

So we’re very happy and we’ve past the company name on to our HOA manager for other homeowners who may be looking for a reliable high quality painting crew. We’d use them again without hesitation for any future painting and they do kitchen cabinet refurbishment too.

What is this, the third time we've used RB Painting? We came back to them each time we needed some serious work done in & around the house. This time we needed to do the entire outside of our two story house, as well as the inside - every single thing visible to the eye! A tall order for sure, & fortunately for us we'd already had experience with Gary & his team, so we felt assured we'd be getting the same good service & expertise. And we did! We had no problems whatsoever, & the beauty of this was that Gary was already very familiar with our house & its special needs. We have a metal capping that borders our roof & it's always been a problem with paint adhering properly. Gary worked some of his knowledge (& magic?) & it's looking great once again.

As I see from other reviews, people are definitely impressed with Gary's precise attention to details & the importance of prep work. I can't say enough about his team, Art & Cassie - they are equally as detailed & professional as he is! Gary is my painter for life - & I've told him so!

Gary and his crew were very thorough and professional. They were always on time and had great communication throughout the job. Gary provided excellent pre-painting suggestions and consultation. The prep work before painting was very thorough and the final product came out great. We have already recommended him to local family and neighbors.

So glad to have found Gary Baker of RB Painting in San Marcos, Ca. We contracted with him to paint the exterior of our home. From the first meeting where he inspected every inch of our home asking questions and making suggestions to the final completion he was honest, responsive in his communication to us about his schedule and arriving on time and meticulous in his work. His crew worked very hard and I have to tell you I have a very critical eye and he met and exceeded every expectation. He only uses the highest quality paint and applies 2 coats to all surfaces. There is a reason everyone gives Gary 5 stars - I am very satisfied and I highly recommend him to anyone for their painting needs!

I read over all the reviews posted prior to mine and had the EXACT same experience working with Gary and his crew. We had some exterior painting on wood, stucco and metal - all with different colors. Gary was extremely helpful in the planning and choice of colors. He uses only the best paint for the specific application, and as noted in other reviews, spent a ton of time on the prep work. I was working from home the entire time and was amazed at how detail-oriented Gary is... but after seeing the results ... he is worth every penny! I will only use Gary again for any and all painting needs.

My wife and I chose RB Painting after having four other estimates. What drove us to giving the work to RB was how impressed we were with Gary, the owner, during the estimate process. I have never dealt with anyone so thourough. He took two hours to evaluate the house and had me stay with him as he described what he would do. His estimate wasn't the lowest, but you pay for what you get, and what we got was an outstanding paint job. Our home looks great! In fact our neighbors are very impressed and Gary will be getting more work in our neighborhood.

Gary's team spent more time prepping the house than other painters do on a whole job. They took three or four days just prepping including stucco patching, filling cracks etc. He also convinced me to have two coats put on so the paint would last a lot longer and we would avoid any repainting in 8-10 years. The estimates from the other painters were for one coat. My wife an I are now having RB paint inside our home. We wouldn't thnk of going anywhere else when it comes to painting in the future. On a rating scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best, RB Paining gets a 6! We HIGHLY recommend Gary and his team!

This was the third time we hired Gary & his team to do a job for us. We needed work done on the outside of our house the prior two times & were very impressed with the results. In fact, I didn't even consider another paint company this time since I have developed so much confidence in the quality of work Gary, Dan & Art do. This time we asked them to paint the interior of our house; a major job considering we wanted every single thing done. We have a lot of wood trim, cabinets throughout the house &, of course, the rooms themselves. Huge job!

When our house was originally built, the white kitchen cabinets were sprayed. Therefore, no brush strokes were visible, just a lovely soft, satin effect. Spraying was not an option this time around. I wanted this look duplicated. I wanted NO visible brush strokes! This could have presented a bit of a challenge but, as usual, Gary took it in stride & did a magnificent job! I am so, so happy with my cabinets! They are perfect. If you know about painting, you have to realize how vital the prep work is. I already knew this about Gary & his team; they took lots & lots of time making sure things were flawless before beginning the staining & painting process. These things mean a great deal to us, especially from our previous experience with other painters! The prep work, the selection of just the right kind of product - the decisions & actions taken are vital in order to end up with a perfect result. We achieved this with Gary, Dan & Art. I have hired Gary Baker and his team twice to paint all my interior doors and some interior walls. They do high quality work, are very responsive, and are detail oriented.

RB Painting is fantastic. They painted my ceilings in one day. They were responsive to calls, always on time, professional, clean and not to mention — my ceilings look fantastic. I highly recommend.
