The banana bread pudding is the most delicious dessert I've had in west LA! It's airy, light, and creamy, with just the right amount of sweetness and bananas. I also enjoyed the horchata coffee which was basically an excellent latte, and not overly sweet. The service was fast and very pleasant!

Words can’t express how much I love this place. The cookies, and the pineapple iced tea are absolutely sensational and so satisfying. I never really have iced teas that aren’t unsweetened, but this one really hit the spot because it was flagrant and refreshing.

I will give you a wonderful tip though. When you take a look at the cookie, it will almost resemble a scone, but if you take a bite in the middle, you’ll Be reminded delicious cookies really are these are some of the best cookies and my personal favorite is a sea salt, chocolate chip, which seems to have at least 42 chocolate chips located in the center of the cookie. Try it, take a bite and you’ll see what I mean.

I spent $21 trying to perfect my count and that is the cost of about three cookies. You can thank me by replying on this review, but you really don’t have to. I’m happy to help for the greater good of us all.

Paderia Bakehouse in downtown Santa Monica is a nice little place to stop for a light snack or any who are on the go and hungry. The inside is very upscale and modernized, not at all what I was expecting. I got the seasonal butter chip cookie which had a delicious blend of butterscotch and chocolate chips. I washed that down with some Matcha Horchata and my only complaint about that is they missed a golden opportunity to call it Matchata. My wife got the Portugese Egg Tart which had a delicious flavor profile and a nice crunch on the outside. She washed hers down with the Strawberry Horchata which was also very good and an interesting take on a classic drink. All in all this place is a good Cafe to stop at with good customer service.

This place definitely hit my sweet tooth. We got the
Portuguese egg tart, the
peanut butter chocolate chip cookie and the
strawberry horchata. The egg tart was really nice. Flaky with a creamy center. The cookie was gooey and sweet. The horchata was nice. Really creamy and slightly thicker than what I expected. The young lady that took our order was courteous.

The best way I could describe the place is that it’s a West Coast Levain with the added benefit of drinks and other pastries like ensaymada and Portuguese egg tarts. West Coast is the best coast :)

Came here on a Saturday after lunch around 2 and there was a short line that moved quickly. Ordered 3 cookies and since I checked in on Yelp and spent more than $10, I got a free drink. The cashier recommended the raspberry matcha (you get a choice of milk, and they do have oat) which I acquiesced to. The drink was super refreshing and had a good raspberry flavor that wasn’t overwhelming. The cookies are $4 and are the size of hockey pucks. They are a tad undercooked inside, which I prefer because that way, the chocolate just oozed out when I got to the middle portion. Definitely split a cookie with someone, having one by yourself would be a lot (though if you eat the whole thing, you do you). My favorite was the chocolate chip sea salt. The double chocolate was also super tasty, but it might be too sweet for some.

There’s a parking lot in the back. Credit cards are accepted. There were a couple of chairs to sit outside while you wait for them to call your order, and no indoor dining. They had a water bowl for dogs outside, so I imagine they’re dog friendly. Overall, a really cute spot in the West Side to fulfill whatever sugar cravings you may have.

We had heard that a new bakery was opening on our corner and were hopeful it would be amazing, and boy, it sure is! Went this morning for our first time and ordered the standard Horchata, 2 sea salt choc chip cookies, 1 triple chocolate cookie, and 1 egg baked item (tartine?). The horchata is to die for, the cookies are thick, filled with multiple times of melting chocolate, and perfectly soft (but not too gooey soft like sometimes happens with “The Cookie” at Bristol Farms that is basically across the street). The egg baked item is perfectly crispy and delicious. All around wowed by the items and get so welcomed by the staff and the place is just beautiful inside. We are just so so excited that it is open and because of all of the above! (but also a little worried that I’ll eat it too often lol!)

I googled and found this place, it’s the other side of Wilshire so I never knew it before! I like the place that it’s new, clean and not crowded. The pastries were good, especially the cookies, I am not a dessert person but the cookie was so good! Definitely recommend 👍👍

Forgot to take pictures of the actual egg tarts so their decorative ones in the case will have to do.

Portuguese egg tarts ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: the best Portuguese egg tarts I've had in California. The star here is definitely their super flakey crust.

I prefer lavain cookies but these are a fairly close second. The staff at lavain is always friendlier as well. I also prefer the coffee at Lavain. But if you're close to paderia, they're pretty close. Close as in quality not in flavor. They're different.

Came here for the first time today. Nathen welcomed me and was attentive, nice, and professional. The presentation of the pastries is absolutely amazing. Wow, everything looked yummy!
I ordered 2 egg tarts, one white chocolate macadamia (this was my favorite!) and one of the sea salt chocolate chip. They also make ice coffees so I added the Mazapan coffee to my order. It was sweet and delicious.
This is literally a Hidden gem. Right across from
Bristol Farms, and you have to go around the block in order to see it.
Great quality of food but it is on the pricey side. I paid $18 for 4 pastries and one regular size ice coffee. If you have a friend who just had a baby/ a friend's birthday / someone who is staying at the hospital/ you just want to spoil them or show your appreciation - Paderia pastries would make a GREAT and thoughtful gift for them. Their to-go box is fancy and looks like a gift box!
Free easy parking right outside of the shop.

You can smell this place from the parking lot. I tried my best to not order everything on the menu, but left here with the three cookies: triple chocolate, Blueberry coconut pecan (my favorite) and the peanut butter chocolate. Can't wait to try the other ones!

A little on the pricey side, but it's decent stuff! I love the cookies. The egg tarts are decent, I wish they were more... custard-y? I'm used to having ones from Portugal so it's unfair for me to compare. The vietnamese coffee was also pretty good. Great experience overall!

The cookies are good. But please order them warm. If you eat them cold they will be hard and not as enjoyable. I was disappointed by the lack of unsweetened drinks available. I’m really not into eating a sweet cookie with a sweet drink. Service could use some improvement. Overall great cookie if heated for 10 seconds, which the staff didn’t offer to do for you automatically, so I had to go back and ask.

Friend: “I got you some pastéis de nata!”
Me: “I didn’t even say thanks yet, why you saying de nada?”
Friend: “😑😑 pateta”
Me: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Paderia has finally arrived in Santa Monica! Finally I don’t have to drive all the way to OC for the incredible Portuguese egg tarts.

There’s also Levain-esque giant cookies, banana pudding, cheesecake, and a variety of drinks, among other delicious treats.

The sun is shining bright on this south-facing newcomer to the neighborhood! Little visibility from the 3032 Wilshire Blvd frontage, so go to the back of the new building on corner of Wilshire and Berkeley and find plenty of parking, also cafe tables and chairs to relax in. Very impressed with their interesting selection of menu items. The sweet-topped brioche is delicate and mildly sweet.
The egg tart has a surprisingly flaky croissant-type crust and creamy egg custard.
Cookies are extra thick, chuck full of yummy add ins to satisfy any Cookie Monster.
Oh my, banana pudding is lusciously creamy with soft vanilla type wafers and perfectly ripened bananas, not too sweet, just right!
My coffee selection for the day was the Mazapan hazelnut coffee. For a non-coffee drinker, I loved this mellow coffee with a creamy froth topping and granules of nuts at the bottom.
Definitely 5 stars all around!!!!!
(And yes, I shared all of this in one sitting with my husband.😋)
