Amalfi Cucina Italiana - Carmel Valley

Came here for our anniversary dinner. Staffs are wonderful. The restaurant was pretty busy, but they sat other patrons away from our table so we could have a special alone time. Really appreciate it. They also constantly refill our water whenever it gets low without having to ask for it.

The foods were delicious. We had scallops and figs, ribeye tagliata, pappardelle with ragu napoletano with side of mushrooms, and tiramisu. Everything's were delicious. Our favorite was the scallop and figs.

I've been looking for a Napolitano style pizza and couldn't find it anywhere. The main problem is the dough. We just don't make it the same way in the US. BUT WAIT! Amalfi Cucina makes it exactly like they do in Naples. From the crust all the way to the top ingredients. Best Napolitano Pizza in San Diego hands down. A little secret to all of you...shhhh...their Chef is from Naples. By the way, the Parmigiana di Melanzane (Eggplant Parmesan) is to die for!

The food was as delicious as we expected it to be. The service was excellent and the space is very comfortable. It’s a great addition to Carmel Valley.

This was an excellent lunch! The bolognese was superb. Great portion sizes and prepared perfectly. They have a great wine and drink list too. I’m impartial to the spritz.
Our server was, well, professional, but not talkative or very friendly. The maître d’ was very friendly and welcoming though. They have a really nice outdoor patio that was perfect. Great full bar as well! A bit pricey but worth it.

I visited a few weeks ago and was super impressed. I went early and they weren't open yet but they were super kind in seating me on the patio. The food was delicious and they had a great selection of wine. I was so impressed with the food, wine, and service that I've invited a few friends for lunch.

My favorite food is Italian. I have been in California for six years and unfortunately few Italian restaurants measured up to the restaurants I was familiar with in New York. Yesterday I had the pleasure of eating here with family members for lunch. What a pleasure! The service was both friendly and professional, and the food was outstanding. My nephew ordered as a side dish artichoke hearts, which turned out to be the best I have ever eaten. My entrée was a Bolognese, so delicious.
My only complaint is that it is too far away for me to walk.

This was my 2nd time ti come here. The ambiance is so good. The foods were always good. We ordered pulpo which is octopus 🐙 I'm red sauce so soft and tender, seabass whole fish baked super good with herbs and garlic inside and shrimp pasta with truffle oil and mushrooms 🍄. I told the server that it was our wedding anniversary and he complimented us with a very good tiramisu cake whish was not too sweet and the chocolate and cofee on it were good quality. Highly recommended.

Amazing food, great ambiance and service. I will definitely be back. I had the gnocchi with truffles and it was to "die for". My friend had tortellini 4 formaggi and it was delicious too.

I used to live in the South of Italy, and married to a very picky Italian lol. Loved the Amalfi’s Lobster Ravioli. Also the Octopus was amazing, even my 11 years old daughter who doesn’t like seafood , loved it lol!
Great wine suggested by Chef Marcello Avitabile. Beautiful restaurant, so I was pretty happy with everything!
I have recommended it to many people and they also loved it!

Great place we visited for the fist time and will be back again. We appreciated the chance to talk to the manager, Katerina, she was absolutely fantastic and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great meal. Her and the staff were all top knotch!

Great food and amazing service. We have been a regular for the past year and everything we have tried so far has been awesome.

We just came back from a Mother’s Day dinner at Amalfi. Absolutely outstanding food. All six people loved the food so much, we can’t wait to come back. If you want a place that serves quickly, this is not that place but the wait was well worth it. I would recommend they consider serving bread/oil as soon as people sit down. We had a lovely waitress and she did ask if we wanted any bread 20 minutes after we sat down. By then our little guy was getting cranky. When the bread came, it was just bread, no oil or butter. So if they just make it a routine to serve bread/oil to all tables and right away, hungry kids and grandpas will be much much happier.

Overall, outstanding. We can’t wait to come back.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Amalfi and my experience was exceptional. The bruschetta with smoked salmon and the lobster ravioli were undoubtedly the highlights of my evening! I was impressed with the exceptional service provided by Katarina! She guided me through the culinary offerings with enthusiasm, recommending perfect dishes!

Great restaurant in Del Mar Heights. Food was great, staff was incredibly friendly, and the ambiance was excellent. Honestly, their portions could be a bit smaller as it seems like there was enough food to feed an army.

Would definitely come back.

Loved the "choose your own adventure" old fashion. The freshly made pastas were amazing and both cooked and sauced perfectly. The desert selection was great and paired well with the limoncello shots. Very nice and attentive staff. Highly recommend.

Absolutely the best Italian restaurant we have ever been to. Our waiter Giseppe was amazing and helped us order an incredible Italian wine and some of the best entrees I’ve ever eaten. Everything from the steak special to the scallop risotto to a calzone or pizza was flawless. The service and management are extremely friendly and helpful. Looking forward to coming back regularly!

Coming from the east coast, I find it really hard to get really good Italian food. We were a group of 10. We ordered lots of appetizers and entrees. The appetizers were really good. The artichokes were the best I've ever had and the clams were delicious. 90℅ of all the plates that went back to the kitchen from our table were clean. We loved the food and the drinks. Friendly bartender and the servers were very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu.
