Reno VA Medical Center

I am profoundly grateful for the kindness, compassion and care I have recieved over the years through the VA Heath Care System, and the Reno VA is no exception. I was reminded of that again this evening when I dashed in at the last second to pick up a prescription and was able to be efficiently seen & diagnosed for another issue. Thank you all for what you do - you are well and truly a blessing.

Reno VA is by far one of the best facility in the country. I've lived in multiple states and Reno is far and above any other VA I've used in the past. I hardly ever used VA services in other states because the service was so poor. I prefer the Reno VA although I have private insurance. The coordination of care is excellent. The ER is efficient and they don't take forever figuring out the issue. If, you need to be admitted they get you admitted and to a room, your not in the ER for hours just waiting around.

The Reno veterans hospital is the best hospital or medical facility I've ever been in.
Everyone there treated me with respect was knowledgeable helped me at every turn and was all around the best experience I've ever had in any kind of medical facility bar none.
I cannot begin to describe how attentive professional friendly and sympathetic everyone who works there has been towards me. if every medical facility was run as well as the Reno VA, there would be no complaints about in patient health care .
My particular situation was and infected put I had no idea where the infection came from but my foot swelled up like a coffee can I almost lost my leg and I thought for sure was going to lose my foot and they managed to save both and I am nothing but grateful for what they did for me. I thought my condition was much less serious than it was when it first manifested itself and I should have gone to the hospital days sooner than I did when I arrived there was no admonishing me for not coming in sooner there was no second guessing they got right on it they had a great surgical team that corrected my problems I'm not going to go into detail there's no point but I was very lucky to have been where I was when this occurred. If I had been any place else in the country I dont think I would have gotten the level of care concern and service that I received and I probably would have lost a limb.
I will be forever grateful to the doctors and staff .

I'm very pleased with the care I get, being a vet I feel that they are genuinely concerned with my well-being.

Reno VA is a great mid sized VA with many speciality and primary clinics.

Depending on your ranking from full disability/POW, etc. to no service connection with a higher income than listed for the year determines how quick a veteran is seen.

This VA doesn't take CHAMPVA patients at this time.

San Francisco VA takes CHAMPVA patients.

The Reno VA has been very attentive to the needs of local veterans for many years. The recent Covid situation resulted in large numbers coming in for vaccinations. Appointments were needed. They were well staffed, friendly and efficient during this process. Good work!

My husband came to the VA ER 8 days ago with a very serious condition. It was touch & go for 3 days. The medical staff at the Reno VA is beyond outstanding! He has been in & out for major medical problems including chemo for bladder cancer. It is strange, but I feel very comforted when we are here. They are all pleasant & cannot do enough. Our vets are very lucky to have them!

Thank you VA of Reno NV for welcoming my dad with such great medical care. Just moved him here from CA and the VA here has really been on the ball about getting him set up with primary care and much needed tests! I am so impressed!!!!

Since my husband was accepted in Reno VA, in November, we have had nothing but the best service! We even get calls returned on the weekends. Everyone we have dealt with has been friendly, helpful, and very efficient. We couldn’t ask for better receptionists, nurses and doctors.

This VA isn't perfect and I've needed to exercise my patients because of poor policy, but on an individual basis (patient w/Dr; nurses; staff) I'm incredibly thankful for their care. This VA has "been there for me." The people they hire tend to have a higher EQ and in this business EQ Is just as valuable as IQ.

Excellent VA . Owe them so much for all they have done for me on a better way of life. Still have long way to go. They really help so many of us veterans. See it everywhere within the Reno VA. BE PATIENCE. ASK FOR HELP. DON'T BLOW IT OFF, IT'S YOUR RIGHT AS A U.S. MILITARY VET.

Our Father passed early this morning and I'll tell you the Doctors and the Nurses and their aides were so Great treated us with loving care , My Dad was treated with respect and Honor ❤
I will remember them in my prayers for their loving hard work going above and beyond

I have never had a problem with Reno VA Hospital. The staff, doctors, nurses, PAs, NPs, and everyone else are AWESOME....

Everyone at the Reno Hospital is the best, from the volunteers to the Doctors! My primary Doctor and my Dentist are fantastic! Never a bad experience!

Since 1983 the center has provided my medical care...The Staff, Emergency Staff and Doctors Nurses, Doctors, specialty Doctors, have always been over the top outstanding...in all these years the number one complainers about our care are the same ones who would complain about being hung with a silk rope...Thank You to the entire Staff ...
