Lost Dog Cafe - Alexandria

This is a cool, relaxing place to hang out with family and friends. It’s down to earth with a wide selection of food, and for those that want suds, they have beer too. Parking is a challenge though so be prepared to drive around the block a few times. Service is very good as well, as you’re made to feel welcome.

I was in Arlington for 3nights and I eat here on 3 separate occasions. Their food was all great. Even my delivery was great! They have a phenomenal beer selection of 4 packs and variety of beers. 100% would be a regular.

Large portions and the food is delicious. My husband and I had dinner here because we were close by and we wanted to support the restaurant's cause. As animal lovers, we enjoy giving our business to other animal lovers. Everything was wonderful from the service to the food. Thank you so much for an awesome experience.

I have not heard of this place. I have to be honest. I went here by accident, but it was a real treat. My goodness. Sometimes spontaneity is the special ingredient to great food. The food was different in a good way and very filling. The prices are very reasonable. The customer service was great. The wait time for the food was not long at all. I will definitely go there again.

There's parking in a garage nearby the establishment, so it's a good area to be at.

Oh my WORD! The food was delicious! Who orders lasagna at a deli? This girl. I'm so glad I did, because it was amazing! The perfect amount of sauce, cheese, everything. I got the spinach variety. My husband loved his gyro, too. I had quite a bit left over.

This was a great find in North Old Town!! I was skeptical at first because the website does not truly depict the size of the menu. I was afraid we would be buying deli sandwiches and cans of beer from the market. However they have a very nice bar and dining area. Hope was great at recommending beers and sandwiches after asking a couple questions about our tastes. She was spot on!! They have a wide variety of beers on tap and almost 5 pages of food on the menu. I will definitely be going back fairly regularly.

Great sandwiches, salads and pizza! Tons of options so everyone will find something they love. Plus, profits help support rescuing animals. Win win!

Wow. This is my favorite spot that I have eaten at in Alexandria. Great beer menu, extensive food menu, hospitable staff, clean restaurant AND they have a dog rescue mission. This place was absolutely outstanding. I couldn’t decide on what retail to buy myself; and I wanted all of it. Please don’t skip this spot. It’s amazing :) I plan to visit very frequently. That turkey rueben!

Absolutely the best place we ate on our Washington DC trip. Huge selection of sandwiches pizzas and pastas, and a really good beer selection. I have been looking for a good stout out in Virginia and this place had 10 on tap. Even better that a portion of proceeds go towards animal rescues and shelters. Really wish they had one of these out where I live. Service was great as well

Staff is always friendly. Great selection of pies, sandwiches and beers. Lots to decide from! If you like Marinara sauce, you have to get the side of theirs homemade. It is an up charge but it is a large portion for a "side" and really good if you get a pizza without sauce cooked onto it.

This place is AWESOME! They have a great beer list and an impressive menu. A small bottle shop, too. Just wish they had singles. Bartender was nice and they support rescue dogs. Come on!!! SO glad I came here. Oh, and they have an Untappd badge. Cheers! 🍻

Lost Dog is a solid choice any time you want a casual meal. It’s a great place to bring kids and also if you want to grab local beer and watch sports. We like to go to the take out window more than sit down. My only complaint is they constantly forget something in take out orders - dressing, side item, etc. - so check your order before you leave. I had one bad experience in about 10 visits and the manager took care of us. Just went there last Sunday and the server was awesome.

Been here a few times now and each time the sandwiches and beer were very good. Pizza is also well made although my mom was sightly annoyed that the cauliflower dough still contained rice flour.

Really great chill spot for some delicious food! Every sandwich combination you could ask for. Generous portions and great prices. Decent tap beer selection and also has some cans and bottles to go! Can't wait to go back

Our go-to in Alexandria. Great selection of quality food. A bit noisier than I would like.

I've probably ordered at least 100 pizzas from Lost Dog's various locations. The crust is light and airy, not dense and spongy (I'm looking at you, Lena's). The portions are generous. The menu is extensive. Online ordering works well, and unlike many restaurants they bothered to include a photo and description of every single pizza. Rarely, they have missed a topping on my order. I have no complaints and am still giving them 5 stars because the pizza is delicious and the price is fair.

Create your own sandwich. Roast beef, pepperoni, salami, banana peppers, onion, horseradish mayo. Exactly what I was craving and so tasty as always!

This place is great. A gem. Clean, Bohemian, chill, and GREAT food. The wait for our food was long by ordinary standards...but because this place is nowhere near your ordinary pizza spot, the wait was both tolerable and understandable. The service was great, the beer was fantastic, and the food was scrumptious. This was our first time here, but won't be our last.
