Greendale Family Branch YMCA

I cannot say enough about the Greendale YMCA and their staff that I have, throughout the years, had the pleasure of interacting with and trusting with not just my health as a two-time triple negative breast cancer survivor, but my overall well-being as a person. They continue to maintain a safe, inclusive, and comfortable environment for everyone, and have, even if unbeknownst to them, given me the faith to believe the world is changing, and in the right direction. It is hard to stand up for what you believe in and for yourself in general, but the Y and the pillars of strength that are the wellness staff, that make this place what it is — not only, but especially Jill, John, Heather and Geoff — that ensure accountability, uphold the policies that necessitate a safe environment, work tirelessly to support their members and ensure they are heard and validated, has changed not only the world at large, but my own, and thus, my outlook upon it. I love you guys.

Shout out to this YMCA for truly being all inclusive. From the staff to the services, I am truly happy with our experience.

I came into get a 1 person adult membership and found this fantastic place. They have an indoor track a ton of machines an area for old school strength training that has squat racks kettle bells pulling ropes free weights stretch pads yoga mats punching bags sledge hammers ECT... Also huge fitness rooms for classes that are clearly scheduled outside of the doors. An Olympic sized pool well a really big pool if not Olympic, Lookerooms with a sauna and showers plus showers next to the pool that you are required to use prior to entering the pool which is "nice". A full sized basketball court with leagues. They are all about family fitness and fun and every employee I had interaction with was helpful with excellent customer service skills. I think Tony was the Manager on duty and he helped me to sign up for a discounted price he was great. I wish I had got the young lady's name as I was leaving because she was extremely helpful and Finished the sign up process with me ( I didn't know I hadn't ) inorder to get a pass for the next few days while I wait for my review to be over. It's a little pricey for 1 adult but I think a great deal for families especially large ones.

I LOVE the new hours! I complain about bad things but praise good ones too, this is awesome! Glad I’m at the Y again, they’re really caring about their members a lot!

The service is very good as well the personal trainers.

With respect to all negative reviews, I joined this branch in 2008 and coming here since, if we all agree with this fact: "a perfect place(Gym) does not exist" then we can have a better judgment. I strongly believe 90% of the staff are good people, members are friendly and The Y is place I can go with my family and enjoy working out. I will give them five star because they are trying hard to be five star. Hopefully in near future.

I am so happy to be back after the temporary closure, the staff is doing amazing job at keeping things clean and sanitary, taking care of guests — to put it simply they are working extremely hard with this new way of doing things. To make a reservation is super easy through the app and I am so, so beyond thankful to the YMCA for having us back. 💛

My second home!!! Staff members really care about the facility and create a safe environment for all ages. The place is clean and well maintained.

The Greendale YMCA has the best Zumba instructors ever.
Wednesday 6:35pm to 7:35pm
Friday 9:15am to 10:15am
Zumba is cardio fitness dancing.
Zumba feels like a party.
Come join us. All are welcomed.
Age 8 and up.
U don't have to know how to dance to Zumba dance.

joined a week ago. Place is great! It provides an safe environment for me to go when otherwise i would be sitting around house bored. Lots of amemities! Staff if helpful. A place of thearuputic relaxing. Health and fun!

Opening and closing time is great 👍

I see a whole lot of people complaining. Its a Gym folks you go there to work out, its crowded because people like going there. Your are not there to be treated nice you are there to workout so work out and stop complaining no one cares.

The child watch staff are very friendly! My toddler loves playing there while I have a couple hours of Mom time.

Great Pool and Child Watch, currently under construction (which is much needed). Weight area and cardio room will get bigger and he'll out significantly because this place gets crowded.

I prefer this YMCA to the "brand new, bigger" one down in the boroughs - the greendale branch has life and community! love it.

Friendly, Clean and Well Maintained except some lockers need repair.

Clean, well maintained. Staff are very friendly. Equipment is up to date. Great schedule. Nothing negative to say.

Great staff, everyone welcomed and treated fair in an up beat atmosphere. Something for everyone and always looking to improve in all areas.

Nice facilities and friendly staff! The indoor tennis courts are clay and heated.
