I've been meaning to try this place for a while and I'm so happy I did. the server was kind knowledgeable and and very bubbly. the only complaint is she did take a little long to clear off our empty glasses. maybe that's because we were drinking the drinks so quickly LOL. My friend had the blueberry French toast. Amazing. I had the steak and eggs and we shared the breakfast pie. Let me tell you about that yoki egg on the breakfast pie. best thought ever, it was amazing. I even ordered 2 Pasta kids meals to go. Because I loved their food so much. PS 1 kids meal is enough for 2 young kids. The portion was huge. We will be back for more

Everything about this place was fabulous!! Had gumbo and the soho sandwich. Both top notch. Bartender was spot on, and even put the Flyers game on. 5 stars for that alone!! My new go to spot in Alexandria 😁😁

Consistently excellent food, but they outdid themselves with this month's Braised Lamb Shank special ($31). If you're on a budget, Thursday is $12 Burger Day. You just can't go wrong no matter what you order. Great food, great service.

We’ve been to City Kitchen twice recently, and have had really nice experiences. The food is flavorful and hot, the drink portions are solid, the music is fun, and our server Robert is great — he is very attentive and friendly! It’s nice to have a reliable local restaurant that has something for everyone. We will be back!

I don't know what they did with this app but goat cheese will never be the same for me. So yum! I also had the European Mixer? Shout-out to the bartender for creating that beauty as well! We'll be back. Great customer service and ambiance as well.

We went here for brunch and ordered the breakfast pizza and New Orleans breakfast bowl. It didn’t disappoint. Amber was our waitress and our food came out really fast. There was no wait to be seated and we were sad we couldn’t try out the cocktails due to our schedules for the day but we will definitely be back. Amber was knowledgeable and attentive to our questions about the menu. I wish there were more vegetarian and vegan options however.

Very tasty menu, excellent service, and a quick kitchen. I noticed our server said hello to a few regulars. City Kitchen has a sit down dining area adjacent to its bar. The kitchen is viewable from the main area. Bathrooms are clean. We’ll be back for sure.

The bartender Megan was amazing ! She created a wonderful dinning experience during restaurant week for me, and kept the entire bar entertained.

I got the pork chop dish and it was cooked perfectly. I really loved the truffle mashed potatoes

Very fun venue with great food. Great fun for Father's Day! Excellent service on the bar area. The New Orleans bowl was something different for me and outstanding!!! My family had Blu berry waffles, burger and eggs Benedict. All great! Just go! UPDATE- went back and really loved the City Burger! Great charcoal grill taste and good size. I liked the thin French fries too.

Stopped here one evening looking for a place to eat and being out of town, we thought we’d give this a shot. It was definitely way better than I anticipated it to be! The pizza and burger were amazing, and the staff was extremely friendly. If we’re ever back in the area, I’d love to stop again.

This place was comfy. I enjoyed the food and the service. They have a number of superb choices on the menu. The menu gets your attention and makes it tough to choose because of the delectable selections

Gourmet Pizzas, wings, and clam chowder i thought was great. That's all I've had so far...I will DEFINITELY return often!! Staff was wonderful, friendly and very attentive. I think what I loved most was the atmosphere and interior design. Loved the nice touch of the warm fireplace in the rear....The bar area is just the right size..a must visit!

I loved my dinner. I had the gumbo, simple salad, truffle fries and D.C. Pie. Yes, it’s a lot as how I eat a lot. My waiter Chris was amazing. He was attentive with the best vibes and recommendations. I will be back.

This place was recommended by some local friends. It was such a great suggestion! It is a more upscale pub and restaurant with a varied menu and a great craft cocktail menu too. The service was very friendly. We will definitely go back to try out more on the menu and maybe brunch sometime too.

Quickly becoming a favorite. Excellent food. Creative specials. Friendly staff. Any of the staff feels comfortable servicing your table so you are not waiting just for your specific server. To-to food is packaged well. Portions are generous.

I LOVE this place. I keep coming back because the atmosphere is inviting, the service is excellent, the food is delicious, and their bloody mary's are simply unmatched. Highly recommend. Portions are perfect and the pricing is great.

Came here on a Monday night when it was nice and quiet. Wings were tasty and the food was delicious and generous. Huge variety of drinks available which makes it a great place to hang out.

Came in Wednesday night after a long day and luckily got the last seat at the bar. Peter was quick to learn my name and had me dialed in not long after I sat. I ordered a plate of buffalo wings and unlike many other places around here they offer up a pretty damn good wing. Wasn’t over sauced, nice size drums and flats. If I wasn’t moving I’d probably become a regular.

Delicious and unique burger + a side for $12 and the servers are super personable and cool. Either this place has regulars (families) who are friends with the waiters or the one table that was having a birthday celebration had kids who became instant besties with the waiters. This really livened the atmosphere!

We really enjoyed this place. We went for happy hour. They have great prices. Service was great. Nice decor. I would definitely recommend this place.
