Lebanon Union Cemetery

Interesting old cemetery. There was a church there which was burnt down by union soldiers. Alexandria has a sign with the history on the front gate.

Does anyone know what is the history of this peculiar cemetery? It’s called Lebanon Union Church Cemetery on google. Was a there a church there before?

This Civil-War era cemetery is hard to find and it's amazing it hasn't yet been bulldozed and a Burger King erected on the site. The grave stones of those buried there are small and square and each has only a large letter "D" engraved on it.

I went to visit the cemetery to do a YouTube video that showcases little cemeteries all around and when I walked into the cemetery I was a palled at the condition of it. There was trash everywhere tombstones were moved and destroyed there was trash all over the place...There was trash everywhere tombstones were moved and destroyed there was trash all over the place..This place needs to be cleaned up and no trespassing put on it because people are ruining such a sacred place where there’s actual people buried there! My brother and friend had to pick up a tombstone to put it back where it belong because somebody had knocked it off and broke it!
