Martha Washington Library

This is my local library and t's really great, tons of events for children and very nice corner for kids to play. The opening hours could be longer, especially for people who are studying and using the space as work space. They have also great activities for kids.

I love this little library. It is cozy, friendly librarian, free books. It has what I need on hand.

Knowledgeable and helpful staff, especially the reference librarians. There is a good variety of community events regardless of the time of year.

A nice library. Easy access, pleasant surroundings, easy pick up for reserved books.

We have been in search of a library with a great kids section. This definitely fit the bill! Don't forget to sign up for fairfax countys 1000 books before kindergarten program.

Well organized library with lots of parking. Inventory was limited on popular books, like all Fairfax Public libraries. Recommend reserving books beforehand. Digital checkout system is good, but there’s also a wait on popular books. There were some free books at the entrance. The employees were friendly and helpful. I noticed the meeting rooms were being used. Everything was clearly labeled. Thank you for the public library system!

This is my favorite Fairfax County library. It’s always peaceful and quiet here, with tons of natural light and plentiful seating. The cushioned armchairs around the perimeter all have small desk attachments and plenty of electrical outlets anywhere you choose to sit. The librarians are great and will go above and beyond to help you find what you’re looking for. I enjoy this library both for working and relaxing.

I love this library! There are so many things to see and do inside the central library that it seems like it might be confusing but I have never had an issue finding a movie or book. Very good atmosphere, very interesting books to read, comfortable chairs, friendly staff. Great variety of books. Love to visit here.

To be safe during COVID, patrons check out books and materials online or over the phone, and the staff puts the items in a plastic bag on a table outside. The staff is always helpful and they are great at getting interlibrary loans.

Nice library! Not only is it wide open, bright, and pleasant to browse through, but has a selection I find very good for a library of it's size.
