Kraken is a well-equipped, small gym that is ideal for everyone from beginners to advanced training.
They have a comprehensive range of equipment including free weights, cable machines and cardio machines. The staff, trainers and other gym users are very approachable, knowledgeable and friendly.
The membership cost is very reasonable, and the 24/7 access suits every user.
I would highly recommend this gym no matter what your fitness goals are.

Excellent local gym. Owner is an awesome human. Very responsive and helpful. The gym is affordable and clean. 24/7 access was useful to go whenever I needed to. Military are welcome and get an added discount on membership.

Been going here for just over a year. This place is clean, convenient, and never disappoints. The owners are super supportive and made signing up a breeze. They also are considerate for active duty personnel who may have to deploy. I usually workout early (before 6) and use the app on my phone to access the gym. The cash app is convenient as well for whenever I need a drink for a pick me up

Kraken is an amazing facility. Personally, I love the 24/hr access as well as the variety of equipment available to be used. Remmi, a co-owner, is always helpful on request and the environment is always welcoming.

Been part of this gym for year after leaving One Life. Access is easy. Cleanliness is amazing. Remy is awesome to work with and great with giving pointers on hitting muscle groups in different ways. The monthly fee is an awesome price for 24/7 access. Great place to get truly focused on your fit. Definitely recommending to join.

By far the best gym in the 757. These guys welcomed both me and my daughter. The place is clean. The people are friendly. I love the fact that I can go at 3am or 3pm. This place is definitely head and shoulders above the cookie cutter places!

Kraken has all the equipment you need for a great workout with 24/7 access. At least one of the owners is there everyday. The place is always clean and the people are respectful of those around them. I highly recommend Kraken Performance Gym!

Great gym! Tons of equipment with a very knowledgeable staff to cater to your training needs. 24 hour access! I love this place because it’s never over crowded and I can get a good work out in without waiting for equipment. I’ve had a few training sessions with their trainer and he was down to earth and wanted you to succeed in meeting your goals. Definitely worth every penny.

Kraken Performance is the BEST gym in Hampton Roads!! This gym has all the equipment you need and is ideal for all fitness levels and training goals. They also offer one-on-one personal training with some of the best certified trainers in the area. The gym is clean, and the equipment is in great condition. Best of all, the gym has secure 24/7 access for members. It’s like having your own personal gym. The owners Remi and Ben are great and treat you like family. The lifestyle that I live requires that I move around a lot and that I stay physically fit. This gym has been one of the best experiences that I have had going to a smaller local gym. It offered everything that I needed to workout, and the place was always extremely clean. The people that go there were very friendly and always willing to help if you need it. The owner of the gym is a really nice guy that was able to work with my wife and me. He was willing to offer tips and tricks whenever we were working out, and he(along with everyone else there) was very supportive and knowledgeable.

I also had the opportunity to do a few personal training sessions with the owner(who is a personal trainer) and he was very knowledgeable and was able to help push myself more than I could by myself.

All in all, great gym, great people, great owner. I would recommend this gym to anyone.

Kraken Performance is a really great gym. I have been working out here since they opened and it is one of the cleanest/nice gyms in the area. They have enough equipment for whatever body part you feel like working and have amazing trainers that train out of the facility. They owner is a really cool, mello dude with a great back ground and experience. 10/10 would recommend!! :)

My Fiancé joined Kraken about 6 months ago and he absolutely loves it, he says it was the best decision! The owners Ben and Remi are super nice! The gym is very clean and very well kept. We’ve established an awesome friendship with them! They’re great people and super easy to talk to about your goals! I recently moved to the Newport News area and was in search for a clean, quality fitness facility to not only use for my exercise routines but also continue my career as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Kraken Performance Gym not only offers high quality, modern equipment in a well maintained, clean environment but also gives you a sense of community when you are there. Whether you are a top-tier athlete or just trying to shed a few pounds, Remi and Ben (owners) treat everyone like part of the family. The facility’s equipment rivals that of the big, “corporate” gyms without the huge crowds and high pressured staff. Stop in and see what you could gain by becoming a member or get your goals on track with some personal training.

This is not a corporate gym, it’s so much better! The owners are in the building, available, friendly, knowledgeable and they actually care about their members.
The gym is always clean. The equipment is well maintained. And if you're interested in personal training Remi is the best. A few years ago Remi worked with me and helped me to lose 109 lbs. I ended up having surgery for a torn rotator cuff that took me out of the gym for a while, my dad passed away and I gained back 50 of the 109 I had lost and then of course the pandemic happened. Through it all Remi has never given up on me. He truly is the best and even when you want to give up on yourself Remi won't give up on you!

I easily found what I was looking for and I got everything I needed all in one spot. Kraken Performance Gym is a very clean and low key gym I would rather keep to myself, but I'd be doing you a disservice.

There's no other gym in the area quite like this one. I'm incredibly impressed with how well-maintained this gym is on a daily basis.

If you're looking for a trainer to reach your goals effectively, talk to Remi. Out of all of the trainers I've worked with as an athlete, Remi is the only one who has been genuinely interested in my goals. Remi's training philosophy and standards of personal coaching and instruction require close personal work with each of his client's personal objectives and needs.

Owners truly care about the members of the gym and listen to their suggestions. New equipment is always showing up as well as replacement of worn equipment. Both owners are very knowledgeable of fitness and weightlifting. The BEST gym around.
