Sal's Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria West End Radford

It really doesn’t get any better than this. Wonderful spot for authentic Italian food to satisfy any appetite. We stumbled upon this place on a road trip and enjoyed everything we ordered. Service was great and the atmosphere was so friendly. Can’t wait to go back!

The Works Pizza is incredible. The staff at Sal's is very nice, the environment is very quiet and low key, and the food is great. There are so many great choices; we'll be coming back to try more.

We don't come here often enough. Every time we've been here the food and service has always been top notch. I've been here for lunch, dinner, had pizza, it's ALL good! Highly recommend if you love Italian food!

First time visiting w local friends. Got there early to beat the Fri crowd. So glad we did because by the time we left it was limited seating. Owner stopped by a couple of times to make sure all was well. Really enjoyed the fried calamari appetizer and hot fresh bread. I don't like calamari enough to eat more than 2 pieces, but let me tell you, I ate my fair share tonight. We ordered a Specialty Primavera Pizza, our friends ordered the Veal Parm and the Salmon Bella which they enjoyed. The dishes looked delish from where I was sitting. Overall look of the restaurant was homey. The waitstaff was very attentive and cute to watch. They were the owners family members. I loved the decor, the nostalgic art work and the overall layout of the tables and booths. Plenty of room for patrons and waitstaff to move around w out colliding into ea. other. I hear there are other ext. of Sals that meet the local area needs. Highly recommend checking them out also. Looking for to going back and try something else on the menu on my next trip to VA.

Not just adequate pizza joint food. This was solid Italian restaurant fare. My son loved the veal parm and my wife couldn't get over the blackened chicken on her Caesar salad. I had the eggplant parm. I would absolutely go back.

Ahhhhmazinggg!! Sals has been a radford landmark for decades now and it has never failed to let me down. Every employee is always so nice and the service is usually very fast. This particular day we decided to order takeout and the food was ready for us to get on time and piping hot when we got it to the house. The steak sub is delicious and the Greco was cooked with a good portion of chicken. My experience at Sals has always been a good one. Highly recommended if you're new to Radford.

This place has and always been awesome. After a softball championship we all showed up to Sals. Joe the owner waited on all 40 of us. Service and food was super and fast! We will definitely be back!

Every time I return to my hometown I visit this great restaurant which has been in business for over 40 years. My family really enjoyed several large pizzas with the works and extra mushrooms. The ingredients were fresh and delicious. I had to sneak a steak calzone a few days later before my return to northern Virginia. This particular location is located in the west end of Radford, but there are several more locations available in which to satisfy your cravings!

Coming here for 14 years. Authentic Italian atmosphere. Family working here 35 years. They come out and greet you! The best wines and pasta 'al dente'. Check out the menu. Everything I've ever tried has been amazing.

Their Food is Always Delicious, We Especially Love Their Supreme"The Works" Pizza" and a Salad with a Nice Glass of Sweet Tea. Now That's Good!

Omg, everything was delicious, service was spot on. Prices are very fair. This is a must do if you are in the area. I just wish they were in my city.

Wonderful mussels in a light sauce with fresh bread, a nice glass of wine in a relaxing atmosphere. My waitress was thoughtful and the young lady she was training was polite and attentive.

We had a take-out order this evening from Sal's in Radford. The food was excellent as usual. I had chicken parmigiana with angel hair pasta and the portion was very generous. Every part of my meal was cooked perfectly and delicious.

Business lunch with an out of town guest. We arrived before lunch rush. Had our orders very quickly, had one more join us at the table late, and his meal was brought out within minutes. We were all complety satisfied with the quality of our meals. Attentive service, good value, large portions (and a box to take away if needed). Can't go wrong eating here!
