Homewood Suites by Hilton Yorktown Newport News

We booked a one bedroom queen suite, and this hotel was the last stop of many on a long family trip. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised to find out we'd been upgraded to a two bedroom suite. It was a great end to a vacation, where we could all enjoy a few nights in separate spaces before the long drive home. Thank you, Hilton!

I've stayed here before and enjoyed the quiet, off the beaten path location. The property could use some updates, but overall, it is clean, and the staff are friendly. I will stay here again.

This was one of the best places my husband and I have ever stayed. There were three older women working when we checked in that were all absolutely incredible people. They upgraded us to an even bigger suite for our anniversary, and were extremely friendly. The room was incredible too! Squeaky clean, and very comfortable! We were able to get a late checkout as well. I highly recommend treating yourself to a stay here! It was fantastic!~

First of all, Karen at the front desk made me feel more than welcome. She made me feel like family. I love the location and theme of this hotel. I needed something central and safe as I was traveling by myself. This place is really nice and for the price, I was amazed. I will be booking this location again! I will also use these particular type of hotels again too. It’s great value.

Loved this hotel! Stayed for a month and the staff are amazing. We felt so much at home thanks to the front desk, housekeeping staff and management. Only thing to note would be the occasional but, BUT considering the tidewater area plus staying on the 1st floor this was nothing unexpected- the hotel also proved terminex to spray our room weekly. 10/10 recommend and many thanks to the amazing staff for a great stay! Very nice staff. Dog friendly. Very clean room and comfortable bed.. Good breakfast. Not crowded. Our favorite overnight place in Newport News. Highly recommend. A good value for the money! One last note. The ladies at the front desk are extremely friendly and willing to help. Also the free breakfast is excellent.

I'm no stranger to an extended-stay hotel, but this was my first time at a Homewood Suites. The room was very spacious and well-stocked with everything you could possibly need. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff was fantastic! My only complaint would be that their pictures show a hot tub, but they no longer have one. Regardless, this is a wonderful place to stay, and I would absolutely return!

This was my first time in this area and the hotel was great. For the location the price was very affordable and reasonable. There are plenty of places to eat and shop in the area within walking distance of the hotel. I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the room and had a great nights rest. Would definitely stay again if I have another work trip in the area.

This place is top of the line. I loved everything about this location. The manager went the extra mile to help us. Everything was great. I could give a 10+. The staff at the breakfast, those ladies were SUPERB. The place had the best meals for all tastes. My kids enjoyed it all.

This was the best adjoining rooms, like a house hotel that I’ve ever been in. Clean, no smelly features to hit my nose, no one else’s hair, all white bedding, towels, hand towels, wash clothes and bath mats. Nice size soap and all. Ironing board and iron in both closets, closets with plenty space and doors. Hair dryers in both areas. Vanity and bathrooms separate. All needs supplied for our great family of 5. Two adults one on a scooter and 3 wonderful children. My husband gained a nickname by the staff they called him “Wheelie”. He wheeled that scooter everywhere inside and out. He had plenty space for his scooter in the room. Awesome full breakfast every morning. We just about knew what we were going to have. Breakfast menu in the room. Got a big surprise in the morning. Every morning with breakfast. Everyday was not the same. They would change up a tad on breakfast AWESOME. Room with all amenities for cooking. Stove, dishwasher a plus. I do with all my heart believe since we were a family of 5 they made sure we had 5 of everything needed to have a good meal we we prepared it. Tammy, Karen, Mark, Charles, Asia, Stephanie I believe can’t remember all names please forgive. But everyone, I mean everyone was all smiles no matter what. We had fun. I will come back again. Laundry room and exercise room clean too. Military hotel. It honored that too. Meet friends some were there because of same problems as us.

We stayed over 4 nights in distress after an electrical fire at our home. The staff was so understanding and very professional to our needs. Diligently let us know the procedures and outlooks of ALE insurance. Days provided etc…Let me tell you they were on point with every avenue.

We stayed here 2 nights and it was great! The rooms were very clean. The kitchen area was very clean and had everything you would need for an extended stay.

The bed was very comfortable, and the sofa was really nice to relax on and watch TV.

The staff was friendly during the checking and checkout process. They had a breakfast was great and there was something there for everyone.

Would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. It was great.

Very clean hotel. Nice helpful staff. Great location. Close to a lot of shopping and restaurants. Very peaceful and convenient. Rooms was more spacious than I anticipated.

This was my first time staying at this hotel. There was an issue with my room but they immediately was able to switch me to a much better room. The room was clean and the kitchen counter was spacious than any other Homewood I stayed at. Any other issues I had were addressed immediately. Everyone at the front desk to management were awesome. Ms Karen is the favorite and everyone Auntie or grandma. I recommend staying here and will return if I'm area.

Traveling with my 85 year old mother who has mobility issues. Hotel was very accommodating and provided a very comfortable room that met her needs - she especially loved the furniture in the sitting room which she could sit in comfortably and get up from on her own. The beds were very comfortable and all the areas of hotel that we visited were very clean. Staff was very helpful and welcoming.

Exceptional guest experience while staying at this property. We were most impacted by Guest Service Agent, Ms. Karen. She is an extraordinary representation of the Best of Hospitality. I love this hotel! My family and I stayed here for over a month awaiting repairs of our home due to the hurricane. The entire staff went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed! The facility and our room was modern, updated and very clean. They made us all feel comfortable and happy, like we were part of their family. During the children’s virtual learning due to COVID-19, we had several children needing their own personal spot for learning. Our room came with two standard barstools for the kitchen and we needed three. The staff searched the entire hotel until they found us another one! If we ever need to stay in a hotel ever again, I will always choose this hotel!

Great hotel in all respects. We are staying here right now for a few days (in transition before our move to Europe) while visiting my son who lives in Newport News and the people at the front desk are some of the nicest, most accommodating, friendly folks we have ever met. They have provided us anything and everything we want and need. The rooms are great too. Even though there are renovations going on at the moment, it's not bothered us a bit. We've slept great at night and the comfort of our suite is terrific. Can't say enough about how nice the staff is. If and when we return to visit our son we will stay here again. Plus, they allow us to keep our little Shih Tzu with us which is why we made the reservation here to begin with. I'm glad I did.
