Big C Roofing

Our roof was replaced by Big C in the spring of 2022. Bill handled the details and was approachable when we had questions and concerns. He responded personally when contacted. His promise of a "Cadillac job at a Chev price "was delivered upon!

Before re-roofing my house, I did my homework. Not only that but I made sure that I had gotten several estimates from local companies and ones that were touted online as being top notch. I was mostly impressed by the companies that came out to give me their estimates with the exception of one or two. Online it seemed that all of the suggestions were for the same company (a different one) and that seemed good until I checked into who was giving the recommendations, it seems like they were not necessarily customers but rather friends and family, which did not disqualify that company in my book but it did make me suspicious. Big C came out and I was very impressed with the way Bill handled the business of roofing. He not only answered the phone on my first call but ensured me that if I called for any reason, he'd be the one who answered the call and I wouldn't have to wait for a call back. That impressed me, I liked the idea that I could get in touch with the person that I needed to and not have to deal with any runaround. After getting all of my bids, Bill's was very fair, not the cheapest and certainly not the most expensive but it was Bill himself that had sold me on Big C and the reason was that I didn't feel like there were going to be any gotcha's from Big C. One of the companies who had a better price left me with the feeling that there were going to be a few (hidden) costs when they got the old roof off. Bill made me feel comfortable in my decision to work with Big C. Now that my roof is complete all that I can say is it is an absolutely beautiful job. I had upgraded my asphalt shingle roof to a standing seam metal roof and it is just outstanding work. I have never seen trim work like what I received from Big C. It is just perfect and I could not recommend Big C more highly.

We were pummeled by Ian, spending hours in the eye wall. Trees broke all around us, branches slammed our roof as they broke off and were launched at us. When it was all over I expected to see the roof destroyed by the enormous debris that had been hurled at our roof. Nothing. No infiltration. No damage at all. Houses all around us are covered in blue tarps and are dealing with water infiltration and damage. Lost shingles scattered everywhere but here we sit unscathed. Thank you, Big C!

I had contacted Bill at Big C Roofing in early September 2022 to get quotes for roof replacements on 3 properties that I owned in Port Charlotte. After receiving the quotes I did my due diligence and obtained 2 other quotes. While I was making my decision, Hurricane Ian decided to unleash its wrath on the area. I called Bill back on Friday morning and told him I was sorry I had not signed the contracts before the storm but I was now in desperate need of 3 new roofs. He informed me that he would honor the pre-storm prices even as prices had increased just that morning. We met and he did exactly what he promised. Friends were so impressed that they met with me at my house and Bill gave them all the pre-storm prices. In all Bill and Big C came through in a very timely manner and quickly replaced all eight roofs without delay. Every single minor complaint was met with immediate attention and his follow-up crew was also great. I could not be happier and would recommend Big C Roofing to everyone.

Can’t say enough positive comments about Bill & his crew from Big C Roofing! Evidence of water intrusion in our main room….after pinpointing the area along the main roof vent….a very reasonable quote was given & one of his crew, Craig, was able to get the job completed within 48 hours of my call. After hurricane Ian several roofers came to our house promising an estimate. Big C was extremely professional and replaced our roof quickly. They also were careful about our gardens. When finished, all nails and debris were completely picked up.

I spent hours pouring over roofing video's. I knew I wanted a standing seam metal roof. After getting quotes from four roofers I soon discovered not all roofers are capable of doing a standing seam roof. Bill has an amazing crew they are not only roofers but also quality metal workers. They have given us an incredible roof. They left everything clean and Bill is incredible to work with. It was an absolute pleasure to work with Bill and Big C.
