We stayed here recently. To us it's one of those long standing motels , kinda like on the West Coast . Rooms are clean and here some complain about the bugs -we are from the desert we don't care about one little harmless bug slipping through the cracks. Area isn't too bad as we've stayed in worse ..definitely an experience so give it a shot..

Room was very clean, price was right for what I needed, and check in was easy. Plus the last day...superbowl night my key stopped working and I think the owner himself arrived quickly and resolved my problem. Also great Breakfast restaurant nearby called Sunrise ... I'll stay there again you cannot beat the price!

Let me start by saying I was originally booked with another hotel in Savannah called the Intown Suites. Traveling from Massachusetts and having some mobility issues I attempted to contact that hotel for 30 days straight. Never once could I reach a person at the desk to speak to no matter what time of day or night I called. I even sent a friend by just for him to find the door locked and sign on the door stating they were out helping guest. Not true, as the workers were standing and chatting watching him knocking on the door and never answering. I was horrified to think I was staying at such a place and extremely uncomfortable. I wanted to cancel my reservation immediately but had nothing else booked and I was due to fly in the next day. I googled affordable hotels in Savannah and the Carol Motel was the first to come up. After taking a quick glance at the pictures, I called. The angel from heaven named Mandy answered. I was distraught and in tears and she heard my concerns. When I tell you this woman was a God sent, a Blessing. She put me at ease with her warm spirit, kind words and genuine demeanor. I explained to her I needed a handicap room or just a shower chair. Due to the hotel being so old, grandfathered in, the rooms were not handicap accessible. She made my reservation and said she would figure it out. The OWNER of the hotel, whom I’ve never met went behind her and canceled my reservation and told Mandy not to accept my reservation. I’m assuming because he felt I was a liability, but he didn’t know my condition nor take the time to ask. I was to grateful for the booking. A lawsuit of any sort was the farthest thing from my mind. Especially traveling from Massachusetts. Mandy went above and beyond to still accommodate me because she new I couldn’t find another place to stay on such short notice, everything was booked solid or to expensive. I had a late flight I in and this woman waited up past hours to make sure she could help me. She stuck her neck out for me, compromised her job and took a chance. I was willing to sign a waiver, releasing the motel from any liability and to safe guard her job. She stayed up until midnight, cleaning my room, cleaning refrigerators, the kitchenette and bathroom to ensure the room was spotless. Mandy even brought a chair from her own home to put in the shower so that I could safely bathe. As I use a walker and it’s hard for me to stand for long periods of time. When I tell you this woman is the reason that this motel is thriving. Her professionalism, compassion and generosity is unmatched. I will absolutely give my money to this establishment again only if Mandy is working their. Other hotels large and small need to hire her to train employees on what a proper hospitality manager/worker should look like. Because Mandy embodies and exemplifies the true meaning. Book there and tell Mandy, Sharonda sent you. Love ❤ her to pieces.

Great place to stay for the price. Room was clean and had all that we needed. When I was worried we wouldn't make it to check in before it closed Lydia sent a text letting me know not to worry and instructions on how to get our key and check in. Didn't have any problems with hearing the train. Just keep the tv and air on and you're good. Good experience overall and would be happy to stay again if we come back.

For the price and location this is an excellent deal. The things that are important to me this place has. I love that they do tile all over and that it is clean. This is the most sanitary way to have a room with a lot of people. Very clean room and the sheets and bed were nice and fresh. Friendly staff, clean room, and good price.

Amazing place. Great people and very clean rooms

It's an older motel property but very well maintained. No defects you usually find in facilities even half the age. You can tell they take pride in their work. It was spotless clean. The lawn and landscaping elements were well taken care of.

I'm not sure if all rooms look the same, but mine had an art deco feel. I enjoyed it.

There are trains that pass frequently. They must not use horns at night as I slept straight through the night.

The woman that checked me in was friendly and accommodating.

Lydia, at the front desk, is a gem! I booked the hotel last minute when my daughter and I decided to stay the night rather than drive back to Kennesaw. The room is simple and clean. I was grateful for a place to stay and this spot was served the purpose ~ I was happy 😊

We stayed 3 nights. We Loved it! Lydia was honestly the best inn keeper I have had the pleasure of doing business with! She was super accommodating
I had to call her for a guest in a room next to me who had gotten locked out and she came right away
Loved the pastries and coffee in the morning

Whoever complained about the train 🚂 must have been a very light sleeper and didn't have on the air/heat because we where out til 11 every night and then when we went to sleep never heard the trains ever. It's a port town and you are 2 miles from the shipping yard so yes trains and trucks.
Best economy room we have stayed in in a few years and we travel every couple of months like a lot.
I highly recommend this place

It was the old time motel just a room. It was clean. No hot water. Closet did not have a rod to hang clothes on. I was able to get a good night sleep.

Service went above what I expected for this type of motel. They deserve more than 5 stars

Mandy is such a sweet heart at the front desk and very attentive to the needs of the guests !

Definitely clean and a go to if you want affordable place for a few nights.

You can’t beat the price of this place! It’s not an amazing place… but I stayed in worse for twice as much money. It has fridge, micro and TV.
