Oishi Sushi & Japanese Steak House

Recently dined in at Oishi with my wife and daughter and it was amazing! From the service to the food, it was absolutely top notch, and we got to try a bit of everything so to speak. Our favorite was the hibachi but the sushi was awesome as well! Good location for kids, not super quiet due to open kitchen but not too bad at all. Loved the atmosphere honestly. We will be back often I'm sure!

We have been here twice. Once for lunch and once for dinner. The restaurant is clean. Decor is fun. The atmosphere is welcoming. The service is nice and efficient. Sushi is delicious!! Will be eating here many more times.

The food altogether is absolutely phenomenal! The sushi appetizers are delectable and the rolls are genius!!

They are fantastic. we are from NYC, and their sushi reminds me of what you can get in the city. Excellent, beautiful, delicious sushi, miso, and large portions, my goodness. I have been here several times and they have never disappointed.

Really good sushi and fair prices. Was pleasantly surprised at the number of options. They also have a hibachi grill that you can order from. Clean and nicely decorated too.

Absolutely awesome, done if the best food I've had in the area. My friend had the chicken, and it literally falls apart in your mouth. The steak is just as great. Booths compose the majority of the seating, with each having enough room to seat 6 comfortably, or 8 if you squeeze.

They always treat you as if your family the food is phenomenal. You definitely get what you pay for and the price is reasonable for any household. I highly suggest everyone give it a chance definitely a 5-star rating.

Great service, excellent food and hardworking chefs. The menu includes sushi and traditional Japanese Steakhouse items. The picture is of the Surf & Turf with filet mignon upgrade and lobster tail. The meal comes with fried rice, vegetables, noodles, soup and salad. They have a small outdoor Koi pond near the entrance too.

Dispite the fact the it's a renovated old breakfast restaurant, everything is on point! I would recommend boat. The salad, soup, and sushi are amazing, and I'm a really picky person. Only place I would go to in Pinellas.

The food is pricey but very delicious and the service is welcoming and very friendly. From the koi fish at the entrance to the interior design, it beauty doesn't cover the fact that this place was once a IHOP. Regardless to that, I recommend visiting Oishi and myself will definitely be going back for more Sushi.

This is a GREAT place for sushi. They do have a hibachi station, however it is behind the sushi bar so therefore it is not in the traditional sense that you are sitting around the hibachi station.

I ate here solo while on a business trip and it was fabulous! The wait staff is super attentive. You will want for nothing! The sushi is beautifully presented and just as tasty as it looks. I had a sashimi appitizer and it was the freshest i have had in Florida to date and top grade. The hibachi was delicious but just as good as other places i have been still great though if you don't like the raw stuff. The portions are huge. I left over stuffed and with enough for a very filling lunch. The resturaunt it very artisticly decorated with murals and fun lighting though it is a bit dark in certain areas it is very calming. The overall sound is a bit loud for my taste but fun for groups or indiviuals that tend to get a little louder while out to eat. Though as a solo eater it makes you feel less lonelywhich is good. The staff is also great at leaving you be when needed but letting you know they are right there at the same time. I will deffinatly visit again next time I'm in the area.

Had a very nice meal. The sushi was great, i thought it was a little pricey but i guess everything is rising. My group had Hibachi and they raved about it. Our dinners all came out separately which was a little awkward. Best of all they had white sauce! Must have white sauce with sushi.. Recommend for sure..

One of my favorite places! Food is delicious, cooked to perfection, and better than any of the other Japanese steakhouses around. You also get to avoid the awkward seating arrangements with strangers and annoying show you get at other Japanese steakhouses (once you've seen an onion volcano, you've seen them all). The staff here is friendly and super fast! Food starts arriving at the table minutes (sometimes seconds) after ordering. Love this place!!

Been here twice in the last 2 weeks and both times its been really good. The BEST hibachi-cooked food without physically sitting in front of a hibachi I've ever had. I don't do sushi but my girl & my buddy said it was excellent. Place looks like its recently been renovated. Has a trendy & contemporary feel to it. Service was good both times as well. Not too expensive either. Waited to review after the second time but it was just as good. If you want Kobe or Arigato style hibachi or sushi you can't go wrong with this joint. Highly recommended. Hope they can keep it up.

It was great! It's a steak and sushi restaurant . We had several sushi selections and they arrived nicely displayed on a single large platter that made it easy for all of us to share. They have a good selection of sake and recommended a good one for us (lychi). They don't offer cocktails, just beer, maybe wine-not sure. But that's not show stopper for me. I cant wait to go back. I wonder if their surf and turf is as good as their sushi.

I love this place more than if I had a first child. Great local hibachi place to get your fix when you aren’t making it to one of those entertainment ones where they are flipping stuff and squirting god knows what into your mouth. Their fried rice is top notch and honestly the best we have found in the area. They give you a full 4 course meal when your order their hibachi so by the time you get it your taste buds have already hit all of the feels. Don’t judge a book by its cover, this place is great and you should try it too!
